Our multi-generational family group had a wonderful time! We enjoyed swimming, kayaking and floating every day, as well as watching the sunsets and the moon shining over the water, and s'mores by the fire. The house is big and clean, and the kitchen was well stocked. Our host was very responsive and communicative. We will be back!

The property was excellent. We had nine people. It was very comfortable a lot of room for everybody. We were able to do our own thing and not bump into each other. The view of the lake was excellent. The house had a lot of amenities that we were able to use I would definitely stay here again.

We visited for a family graduation and this property was a perfect place for our family to spend yime together and use to see nearby sites.

The property was located in a quiet secluded neighborhood. The home was welcoming and cozy. The view of the lake is outstanding both in the am fog and the setting of the sun across the lake in the evening. Amenities were all maintained and in good working order.

You will not be disappointed! This wonderful lake house exceeded our expectations. We brought our whole family down, ourselves, kids, and grandkids, and everyone had the best week ever.
The house is spacious with comfy seating for everyone, as well as plenty of floor space for the little ones to set up games, build towers, and run around like little maniacs. The house came with plenty to keep them entertained.
All 12 of us had plenty of room to be together at the dock and swim raft, and spent most of our days down on the water.
Great fire pit area which we enjoyed making s’mores.
There’s even a dartboard in the spacious car port! So many entertaining surprises to find in this house.
We can’t wait to come back, we will definitely be back. This lakeside retreat was hard to leave.

My family thoroughly enjoyed our week long stay at this picturesque lake house. Our days were spent almost entirely outside, enjoying the amazing views from the dock. In the evening, my family would relax inside with a movie or a board game, as the house is beautiful and you can tell from the minute you walk in it’s treated with love and care. I give the highest recommendation, and MaryAnne is a fantastic Individual who ensured our vacation was a relaxing respite.

Perfect lake-front getaway with friends
10/10 Vrbo! Our host, Maryann, was incredibly responsive as needed. House was immaculate and well appointed with towels (swim and bath), extra blankets, plenty of cookware and huge pantry with essentials. We enjoyed their kayaks and canoes- you have to pick up and return at the neighborhood beach which is a very short walk/water ride away. Not an inconvenience at all.
Our three kids had a blast swimming in the lake! The home’s swimming dock (with included beach chairs) is a huge plus! Sunsets on the dock are breathtaking. Lake is very quiet and neighbors are super sweet. Tons of amazing hiking nearby at Mt. Major and Franconia State Park.
Don’t think twice about renting this gem!

We were were able to sit together for eating, playing games and watching TV. The home comes stocked with everything you can imagine you might need, or perhaps for got to bring. Plenty of linens, towels, and blankets for a large group. We enjoyed time at Gunstock Mountain, hiking and checking out the lake which was frozen over. A very enjoyable time. Absolutely no complaints. MaryAnn was very accessible and attentive to our needs. Love this home and hope to spend time there again in the summer as the home has so much more to offer in the warm weather too. The views of the lake are just spectacular !!! Highly recommend this property!!!

This property was perfect for our large extended family with teen and young adult children. It was spacious and was well equipped with everything we needed. There was so much to do even when the weather wasn’t perfect. It was a very peaceful and relaxing vacation. Can’t wait to return!!!!

We were able to take a short canoe ride around the lake which was easy to grab and a highlight of the weekend. Stores within 10 minutes for any small needs (firewood, chips, etc).

Best. Vacation. Ever.
Where to start? Quintessential NH lake house that feels both very traditional yet modern. Tons of room inside and out to relax, read a book, play a board game, gather for family meals, have coffee on the balconies, deck or dock, swim, fish, kayak - the list is endless! Spacious lake but without the hectic vibe of bigger lakes. Quiet area but within 30-45 minutes of just about anything else you’d want to do like hiking, zip lining, drive in theaters and Weirs Beach. Maryann could not have been more responsive and accommodating! Exceeded all of our expectations and created lifelong memories for our family, already thinking about next summer!

A Great Week
A great house for an extended family get together on a lovely, uncrowded lake. We were a group of 9, including 4 children ages 4 - 14, all "water rats". This is one of the best vacation homes we have ever rented and easily the best provisioned. Whatever you think you will need to bring, you probably won't. The lake water is clear and warm, and the boat traffic even on an August weekend is relatively light, particularly compared to other lakes in the region. The lake is safe for paddlers and is pretty quiet during the week. We rented a boat for the week (Jay's Marina will deliver) and the dock handled a 20 foot pontoon boat easily. The water is swimming depth right off the dock and there is also a floating swim dock. There are things to do in the area, but we didn't leave the lake except for groceries. Did the whole lake bit including s'mores at the fire pit. Also - no bugs! There is a lovely outdoor dining area and we ate there every night. Good view of the lake and the beautiful sunsets. The Hughes are wonderful hosts and very responsive to questions and requests.

Amazing, relaxing getaway!
We were extremely impressed with this property. It has everything you would need out of a rental and more- this home is extremely well equipped. The dock is extremely large (perhaps the largest we saw on the lake) and allowed for our entire family (8 adults and 1 infant) to enjoy lake time together and the gorgeous sunsets every night! We brought a large 4 person boat which was perfect to hitch on to the swimming dock. The bedrooms in this home allow for everyone to have their privacy as well. The home was extremely clean upon arrival! We would definitely rent again. Maryann was extremely communicative the entire time and was always available via text if we had questions, etc. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us!
