It was a nice place the only issues we had was the stairs going up to the main level, has no handrail. It seems like a big liability. The other issue, the carpet needs to be cleaned or replaced.

Big 3 story with large living room and kitchen on 2nd floor - 3 nice bedrooms on 3rd floor.
Nice deck but no yard as it is in a zero space condo community.

This 3 BR, 2.5 bath condo worked well for our family of 4 adults and two toddlers. The unit was comfortable, roomy, and clean and the location was great. We were in Fairplay for Burro Days, and the short walk to town was doable even for toddlers. This unit has a balcony with a nice view of the mountains and town, and even more importantly Java Moose, a great coffee shop in town.
The overall rating was a 4 due to minor easily fixable issues that were mentioned in previous reviews.

Confirmation and communication was outstanding.
This unit is your typical rental unit. The furnishings were fine and comfortable. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen was well appointed. The location was great for a easy walk to downtown. This unit is perfectly placed for festival weekends! It is an attached row-condo, so you’re close to your neighbors.
Here’s why I rated it a little lower than others. 1) The bathrooms. The shower heads are so corroded that showering was very difficult. Additionally, there are no fans in the master bathroom making it humid after the shower. We opened the window… then it was cold. The bathrooms also had very poor lighting.
2) the check out process was extensive. As people renting the place on vacation, we were expected to wash all the dishes, empty all the trash, strip all the beds and place all dirty linens in the hallway, and start the Rumba, which we actually forgot to do… After paying a cleaning fee and having to do so much ourselves, I’m feeling a little ripped off.

We have stayed in “the village” twice previously (not in this place) and were amazed by the amenities, cleanliness, thoughtfulness of the home. Not so in this case.
The lack of hand railing on the lower stairs made our moving in/moving out difficult and honestly, a little dangerous.
The master shower was basically unusable due to the shower head having a large build up of water/calcium deposits and a slimy texture (which can be resolved by soaking it in vinegar and using a stiff brush).
The place did serve the purpose for our weekend which was to enjoy being back in “our mountains” and our yearly upkeep of our part of the cemetery
as well as time with family.

I liked how big and clean the house was but the towels should have been replaced they were not even white anymore I end up buying our own stuff. The master bedroom shower plumbing should be fixed I didn’t shower in it the last day. The people that stayed before didn’t clean the utensils properly I did my own cleaning there. The washer machine had a mildew smell I was shocked!

Except for all the stairs and having to strip all the beds property was great. Couldn’t get the Rumba to start but was pleased and would definitely rent again.

First time staying in Fairplay
We have always stayed in hotels. I can honestly say after staying here we will do this again. Very clean everything is just as the pictures show. I will say there isn't much to do In Fairplay but people there are very nice. We chose this spot cause we wanted to do few things in Denver, Colorado Spring, and Glenwood Spring this spot put us with in decent driving distance from all plus the view is amazing. You can definitely tell the owner care about there guest I have already recommended this to all my friends and family.

Nice & convenient fairplay stay
The unit was pretty much exactly as described. Very cute townhome and very convenient to the 8th & Hathaway garage/bus stop if you’re taking the bus to breck. Check in & out was convenient. Only thing the place was really missing was a water filter for drinking water- that would make it much more homey. Great stay. Would stay again. Would recommend.

Me and my family enjoyed our stay very much. The views are breath taking. The location is not far from the tourist areas. The house was clean and had everything we needed. My kids also really enjoyed the warm pool at the recreational center in town. We would definitely stay again!

Kelley was AMAZING in communicating and allowing our husbands to join us for 2 nights--neither one of us was physically/mentally up to dealing with a mechanic. I would recommend this property. You may have to wash some of the dishes (at least one pot was put back without being cleaned), the condo was pretty dusty and the upstairs bathtub needed a good scrubbing; but the location and the comfy beds made up for any minor overlooked cleaning.

Mt Sherman Hike
My adult daughter and I wanted to hike Mt Sherman and found this condo in Fairplay to stay a few days. The location was within walking distance to everything in town! We had car trouble on the way back from Sherman. Kelley was AMAZING in communicating and allowing our husbands to join us for 2 nights--neither one of us was physically/mentally up to dealing with a mechanic. I would recommend this property. You may have to wash some of the dishes (at least one pot was put back without being cleaned), the condo was pretty dusty and the upstairs bathtub needed a good scrubbing; but the location and the comfy beds made up for any minor overlooked cleaning.

All told we spent an hour on the issue until a guy arrived and ended up breaking in to the property through the balcony on the second floor to let us in. The manager argued with us. Didn’t believe us that the key did not work. We couldn’t leave the premise until the guy came back to give us working keys. No compaction or compensation for our problem was offered or apology!!!

BEAUTIFUL HOME
The place was nice and clean, it was so well put together. The view was beautiful and it was so convenient to have the store and gas station right by us.

Needs some work
Spent time trying to get in and didn’t realize there was a 2nd key holder. Once inside, there were small rocks & trash inside the downstairs entry. Missing cabinet door in kitchen and other cabinet doors in kitchen and bathroom were loose and barely hanging on. No light bulb in lamp, a single bulb was dropped off to us the next day, light over table flickered no -stop. All walls are dirty and need washed and repainted. Most walls have nails but no art work. Tons of spider webs. Hairs in both showers and a used bar of soap and loofa in the master bath. Cleaning is an issue.
