Really enjoyed the stay at this sound front location over Labor Day weekend. Just a half mile walk into town and the beach was just one block over. Kitchen is well stocked and plenty of beach equipment in the storage room so we didn’t have to haul everything from Wake Forest.

Beautiful property, tons of things inside and outside to do/use to keep kiddos entertained and comfortable. My kids loved the bunk beds and cooking in the kitchen was a dream! We’re already talking about coming back next year!

The property was clean, well-situated, and suited my family's needs perfectly. The outdoor shower is a Godsend and it's a reasonable walk to the beach and close to Surf City. I initially thought we might explore the various beaches in the island, but the beach closest to the property was so nice, convenient, and low-key that we went there everyday. I would definitely take my family back here.

Enjoyed our stay very much. Balconies afforded beautiful sunset views from living area as well as from two bedrooms. Clean and spacious living/kitchen/dining areas. Great proximity to Surf City Bridge, thus allowing access to shopping and restaurants.

Well stocked and comfortable. TThe views out the back were beautiful. Close to beach and shops. The storage room had lots of useful items for the beach including chairs, sand toys and corn hole boards. Anita replied to messages very quickly. Great experience.

Beautiful view, minutes to the beach. Plenty of space in the house. Outdoor shower with hot water was a great feature. Would stay again.

My husband and I had an excellent stay. The house was in an excellent location and an easy walk to the beach or to restaurants in Surf City. We spent a lot of time on the 3rd floor balcony watching egrets and herons in the Sound. I would highly recommend staying at this property.

We had a wonderful time staying at this lovely property. It’s cozy and spacious at the same time. Everything you’d need for a beach getaway. We loved the close proximity to the beach and being able to borrow the beach cart, toys and chairs. Anita the host is great at communicating if you need anything. Thank you!

Great stay at Surf City. Close enough to walk to the pier and Charlotte St. public access beach. Linens were provided= big +! There was a queen size futon upstairs also for an extra sleeping option. That was helpful for my late night teenagers. Overall an EXCELLENT value for money. I hope we can return again soon! The view out back was spectacular. We enjoyed hanging out on the porch whenever we could. 🥰

Beach was a short walk and across a pretty busy road, but very manageable, and we loved being on the sound. Great views, close to town, and anything you’d ever need. Really friendly owners live next door. Missing it already - we will be back!

We booked this property one day before arrival. Anita was super quick and professional in her responses to my messages. The property was clean and spacious, if a little dated. The location is very near shops and restaurants and walkable to the beach. The view is spectacular!! You really just can't get tired of it.

We spent five days at this property over spring break. Our family was very pleased with the entire trip. The owners were great to communicate with us throughout the process, and I appreciate their willingness to work with us on a few requests. Even during our stay, we met some of the other family members who were very gracious and helpful as well.The property is in a wonderful location, near the center of Surf City. The walk to the beach is about five minutes (a couple of blocks down and a block over to the beach access). Being soundside, you get a wonderful view of the Intracoastal Waterway (bring your binoculars). The sunsets are amazing. You're also just a couple of blocks away from Kenneth Batts Park which has a long pier into the sound. This is also an amazing place to watch the sunset.The property itself is very spacious. Plenty of space to spread out.. I wish our kitchen at home had as much counter space as this one. Lots of deck space both front and back as well.All in all, it was an excellent trip.

The property was perfect for a family with children and teens. The house was inviting and warm, we were able to be comfortable. Family movies and board games were available and utilized. And the view....OMG! We couldn't get enough of the view. Even the kids marveled at how beautiful the view of the sound. The location was perfect. We walked to the park, walked to the beach, if I had to drive I was never in the car more than 5 minutes. I will definitely be back.
