The facilities were fairly modern, staff were helpful and convenient to the train station.

There was an extra local tax to pay (not advised on booking.com). The bathroom was downstairs past the kitchen and shower was downstairs too (all shared). No towels.

It was a good value, clean, warm.

Steep stairs to room with bathroom downstairs- I was definitely wide awake after using it in the middle of the night. The futon was thin, so I could feel the floor. The blanket provided was short (although the comforter was fine) only hand towels provided so drying off after a bath was fun. I received no instructions on kitchen use. A sign did say not to wash your own dishes but the sink was full of dishes so I guess no one washes them. There were pots on the stove that appeared to be in use so I didn’t know what to cook with. The small kitchen table was occupied with computers and paperwork for a while, with no one there, so eating an early meal there was not an option. If you speak and understand Japanese you may have a better experience but with limited skills all communication was just awkward. So some of these complaints are my fault for not understanding or being able to communicate and ask questions. Location is ok but not really close to anything of interest.Any sights are a train ride back to main Kanazawa, so once there, there’s not much to do.

We spent 4 days in this guesthouse. The host was really kind and the place is fully equipped. The room was really confortable with proper beds and clean area. The host even offered us some product from her bakery for our trip the last day.

Amazing hosts, amazing place with many musical instruments, large private room with 3 beds, clean bathroom and kitchen with all facilities.
