Wonderful

This property was just what we needed for Papa, Grammy and 3 grandsons under 12. The 3 bedroom unit isn’t large but worked great for us. The amazing pool(s), beautifully landscaped lazy River and the fun game room were a huge hit with my crew! Being there the week before Memorial Day meant not crowded at all! The boys definitely want to come back.

The unit was nicely decorated. The resort had great amenities. We had a problem with the cleanliness of the unit upon check in. Mold in washing machine and showers. Hair in shower. Shower curtain rod would not stay up, kept falling, not resolved to our standards. Curtains fell down in living room when we touched them. Stove vent covers had food on them. Dishes were dirty. No towels or hot pads in kitchen. Contacted management and he sent a cleaning crew. They cleaned to our satisfaction but could still not use washing machine due to mold. I suggest a thorough cleaning in this unit. I would rent again if it is cleaned better. I feel that the property manager should have contacted me to make sure that problems were resolved. I had to call numerous times about the issues and didn’t feel that my call was very welcomed.

This property was awesome, my kids loved the cinema theater and they loved the arcade games in the room. The view was perfect and my teens enjoyed the pool and gym. The reception ladies were so courteous and attentive and the check in process was easy. The property is highly secure and it gave me peace of mind when it came to letting my teens go to the arcade game. I have stayed in many beach houses in galveston and now, I am reconsidering because I felt staying in a condo, THIS CONDO, i got more for my money. Also, the location was on point, so close to everything but so perfect in the area too.

Overall nice very nice place. Great amenities for families. Was nice that they had a heated indoor pool as it was cold and rainy most of the time we were there.

Unfortunately, just before our arrival the pipes had frozen to heat the pool so the pool was not warm enough for use until the end of our stay. With heavier rain the volleyball area outdoors flooded and was also unusual for 3 of the days. Some of the games in the game room could use some maintenance as only half of them were usable. With these amenities not avaipaul my kids got a little bit bored which forced us to go do things outside of the resort.

My friends and I had a wonderful stay in Galveston. Although we had cold weather, that didn’t not stop us from enjoying all the great amenities this place had to offer. Definitely would be coming back to this one

This property was just as described. Upon arrival it was clean and well stocked. The amenities were great and the location was convenient to all the things we wanted to do.

Best location for beach pocket park 1 and quick trip into Galveston. Our 3rd year renting from Diamond Beach. Scott gave us the green light for early check-in which was really helpful with small children and a long drive. Overall well stocked kitchen and clean. Decor is very nice. The guest shower curtain liner needed replacement and Scott offered to take care of it during our stay, but we choose not to bother with it for our short trip. Bath towels are thin but absorbent and don’t have stains. The toilet paper was single ply so you go through it much faster and there wasn’t ample stock for 6 people. Bring your own kitchen trash bags-the bag and extras were too small for the can and it caused the bags to rip when removing. The washing machine was moldy on the inside so we didn’t use it.

This property was not as advertised. First , the building is about a 20-year-old property at the end of the seawall . It has not been well maintained by the company that runs it. Many advertised features were either broken or closed for instance - The Bar , restaurant, slide to the pool all were closed. The children's playroom had broken toys, the large chess set outside had broken pieces. The property just looked old. The lazy river was a nice feature that we enjoyed. Second - For the money that was charged per night I expected more. The rooms were dirty, the blinds on the windows were missing, Chairs for the table on the balcony were broken and placed in an inside closet, the other furniture on the balcony was worn and dirty. The floor of balcony was also dirty. The Master bathroom shower grout had black mold all over, the microwave worked but sounded like it was getting ready to break. The inside chairs and furniture were worn badly. The TV worked well. There were Cheerios and gum in the chair and sofa between the cushions when we got there. Don't take a shower in the morning when everyone else is showering, as you will have no hot water. Additionally, my dealings with the property agent were not pleasant.

We had a wonderful time at this resort. The condo was absolutely beautiful! The only issue we had was checking in. No one was at the front desk and several people were waiting to check in for over 20 minutes. Once we got to our condo and settled in we noticed the toilet seat in the master bedroom was broken and the tall bar stool outside was broken. Someone could really have gotten hurt. The condo definitely needs to replace their outdoor chairs as they are rotted and rusted. The owner asked if I wanted someone to come fix the issues during our stay and I replied yes if possible and I don’t want to be charged for this. I never heard back from the owner. If these issue are fixed I would definitely rent this unit again. The views are amazing and the pool is perfect! We enjoyed our stay for sure!

We come to Galveston every year for my son's birthday. It's the first time we've stayed at this resort. The resort was nice - we were there in the off-season so it wasn't crowded. The pool and lazy river were by far the best part. They have a lot of entertainment for kids. Our condo was nice with a great patio and view of the gulf. The furnishings were a little worn and the master bath shower could use a refresh (the grout was yuck and floor tile in the shower was also slippery). Also, please note the beach is not located in front of the condo. You have to walk to the side of the condo and down a hill to get to the beach, which could be a problem for someone with mobility issues. The seawall and a road is between the gulf and the condo. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.

Check in/out was very easy. A plus was 1 of the 2 parking spaces was in the garage. The 5th floor unit is on the east end of building close to the garage elevator. It made unloading/loading supplies much easier and allowed for great views from the patio of the Gulf and beach to the west. Our grandkids loved the Pac-Man game and the adults the large screen TV in the living area for watching college football. The amenities and common areas are top notch. With that said, I cannot rate it a 5 for several reasons. The sofa sleeper is very uncomfortable. It felt as if you were sleeping directly on the springs. We had to use an air mattress. The master shower and tub/shower in hall bath has an issue with mold in the grout. The toilet seat in the master bath was broken. We advised mgt company there would be 8 guests but only 7 bath towels were provided. The bar height chairs on the patio need to be inspected for safety due to rust. One broke when sat in. Luckily, the adult caught themselves from falling. I would rent this unit again if these issues are corrected.

The property is well located, clean, and well staffed. Pools and public areas were clean, and it was easy in and out for parking. The unit was stocked well and we had plenty of towels and kitchen supplies. Other reviews mention the walk to the beach which is a bit long from this unit, but perfectly manageable to carry beach chairs and gear.

At check in was told only one car was able to park inside garage the other car needed to park outside and that we were told incorrect, I told her it’s not what someone told us it was literally in black and white in some of the documents we received. The garage parking was roped off at the end where I needed to park including all handicap which made it difficult with my 79 yr old mother. I called the buildings office and was told 2:00 pm that day it would all be available which did not happen, so basically we had 1 day and a half of parking that was convenient and we were there 5 days. The handle feel off of the back sliding glass door to the patio literally the very first time we tried to use it I called management they told us to call the company we booked from, I called them and they told us to call the building office. Needless to say no one addressed it and we had no handle to open the back sliding glass door for the entire time. It seemed to be a lot of they handle that by both parties. It was a nice place to stay, the accommodations were comfortable the pool was nice and the lazy river was great. The private entrance to the ocean was a little hike of uneven ground and trail that really was not even sensible especially with beach chairs and bags. For the money needs to be a little better. And condo management and building management really need to get on the same page.

I will start off by saying, I never post a negative review, but in this case I feel I have to. Diamond Beach Condos are in a great location and the pool and lazy river are nice. Both the property and this listing, advertise the property as having a waterslide, but this is our second time staying at this property and it is never operating. The condo had a few maintenance issues and the cleanliness could use some improvement.

Great amenities at this property with lazy river, large pools, an indoor pool, a theater, and the property being next to the ocean. I can't give the property a 4 or 5 for cleanliness as the primary toilet did not flush, there were hairs on the counter, the washing machine was filled with water, and the kitchen sponge smelled musty. I was also disappointed there weren't more bath towels, soap, and kitchen supplies. On the positive side, there were TVs in every room, there is a nice balcony with a table and sofa and the kids loved the bunk beds, boogie boards and video game.

Property and unit were great. Unit was not cleaned well prior to our stay, dishes were dirty, hair on the floor and in drawers, dust on dresser tops.

We had such a great time for my family’s first beach vacation together. Host was very responsive and we loved the amenities and location of the condo. Will definitely come back and stay at the same condo when visiting Galveston.

The condo was very nice and well stocked. Beds were comfortable and furniture was nice as well. The views were beautiful and the pools were the best feature. It was a good walk to the actual beach, but it wasn't too bad. Lazy River was nice, but the slide couldn't be used since there was no lifeguard the whole time we were there. Check in process is a pain. You have to find parking outside which is limited and go to the second floor to get all checked in and then only one vehicle can park near the elevator in the garage, the other has to be left outside which creates long walks for the people who have to park outside. Otherwise, it is a great condo and well worth it!

You never get direct sun on porch or in condo which is great. Condo never gets hot!! Skillet in kitchen needs to be replaced. Bed and linens are great and I am very picky about that, elevator is close but you can’t hear it. Amenities are fabulous. Great patio furniture!!

They have one grill that's free of charge to use outside of that you must reserve a grill and there is a fee. This property was great. I traveled with my friend, but I could have taken my family and it would have been great. Pictures are accurate. I recommend this property.
