Location, although given how empty the facility was a sea facing room would have been a nice gesture. Linen and bed very good
Room was a bit disorganised and did not feel like it was ready for a new guest

Nothing
The unit they assigned to us was filthy, damaged! Complained about the unit and the person receiving the complaint says I was looking for reasons to cancel. I have pictures as proof. They moved us to another unit, which was pleasant. It was a bad end to what was supposed to be a fun valentines get away.

Good Day,
I didn’t sleep at the property due to the person managing the property over booked and she wanted me to sleep at the hotel where the rates are less.
I asked her for my refund and she was very rude towards me so I had to look for an alternative accommodation and paid again

Perfect location,1 minutes walk to the beach and a mall is a walking distance

We paid more than what bookings.com website displayed. Which is unethical.
TV not working. No wifi, aircon making extreme noise. Access to the restaurants impossible with no finger print done. Cockroaches everywhere.

I decided not to eat breakfast but then i guess its good quality and taste
The room was very hot, i was sweating, and there was no air conditioner like all hotels around Durban and other provinces

The only thing good about it was the location.
The place was dirty. The person who was responsible was rude and unprofessional. The TV and DSTV never work. There was no wifi. The fridge was broken. everything was dirty the oven, the toaster. very poorly managed and mantained.

Loved the location of the property. The communication with the host was great.
This was not a hotel but rather a private property managed by owner (airbnb like) the apartment and furniture we very old, there was no smart TV, TV in room was not working, was unable to use the bath tub, the apartment was not well maintained at all.

The facilities were falsely advertised as The Pearls of UMhlanga when its privately owned and not maintained to the standards of the pearls Capital.
It was not well kept, dilapidated, WiFi on days they preferred, no TV signal, the key kept at the door on a pot plate I felt unsafe, my finger prints had no access in some parts of the property, my room was used as the laundry room, there’s just too much. I really feel let down by bookings.com.

The advertised property was not what we were checked into.
1. No white towels
2. There was still construction in the property
3. Beds did not have headboards
4. There was no WiFi
5. There were no Cuboard’s for our clothes
6. There were other people staying in the same property it was subdivided.
7. There was electric wires hanging from ceiling and under the floor they were clearly visible
8.The experience was horrible we had to cancel our stay
9.What the host exposed us to is not good for the image of the facility because the pearls of Mhlanga is an upmarket facility. The host was being greedy by renting out a property that was not ready for occupancy.

Unfortunately not much
The apartment was untidy and not cleaned well. No internet access provided. For such a new development the fixtures were of such cheap quality

Terrible experience no privacy it’s open plan
There’s no room service they converted a dining area of the penthouse to be sleeping rooms with no privacy at all. On your entrance you are welcomed by what looks like a TV stand that’s right in your way I injured myself as I kept crumbling on this TV stand. You have to tolerate the noisy other tenants at bottom unit.

Good location for accessing the beach.
We somehow ended up paying >R3,000 more at checkout than the price which the Booking.com app was quoting at the time. So, watch out! And at a rate of around R10,000 for 3 days stay you'd expect a decent bed, pillows, bedding, working bedside lamps, a working air-conditioner, properly working access to the building and the photos are totally misleading. And the noise from patrons from Club 386, intermittent police sirens and high-revving engines until 05:00 in the morning made it impossible to sleep with the sliding door & windows open, which we had to keep open because the air-conditioner wasn't working. When the faulty air-conditioner was reported to the owner, there was no sense of urgency, and we could see no real effort being made to get it repaired for our stay, which made the place unfit for occupancy, so we moved to Raddison Blue Hotel and requested a refund for the remainder of our stay at Pearls. No response from the owner to date.

Location and look was great...
Firstly, advertised at R 2 600, paid R 3 600 on transaction...
Was offered a "penthouse", but in all honesty, was not great, as the unit was still in interior completion.
The unit was not totally enclosed, with an end open to the main stairway and the floor below...
For the price, not worth it...

Location
It’s was a mission to get out. Eventually my fingers got biometric access
No hot take water , no one informed us that we responsible for switching it on
Tv never worked or wifi . Apparently it was never in property as it’s taken away . Asked for wifi network, password. Got it midnight. No use as the device was not in property. The windows were dirt , 1 sheet was dirt , curtains not properly installed, apparently it’s takes 5 min to make water warm .

The location and views were good
Access to the adjoining mall was a mission.

The location and everything about the place then I did of the apartment.
The apartment looked like a two star apartment in a five star builing
Never got to see the actual apartment I booked but was moved to an Apartment at Radisson Oceans of which was not pleasing to my taste
The apartment given to me was like an old B&B, infect looked like a student flat somewhere in downtime or at a two star, furniture old , towels were rugs to clean the floor in none matching colours the balcony was not clean and an old couch was placed there .

The location was awesome. Great views of the beach and Oceans Mall.
We had to wait for the escalators for about 30 minutes due to loadshedding. I am not sure if this is the norm.

The building looked good
The fact that the price I booked for was changed from R1 800 to R2 500. Then the room was way below the expected standards. Paying R900 a night would have still been a big ask, let alone the R2 500 for a room with some old and untidy furniture
7.0
The view, the room size and the convenience to the conference hall.
Firstly, I was relocated to another room and then asked to shift for a second time just to accommodate another customer. I felt very disrespected.
Secondly, the second room I was relocated to had very dirty beddings and I did not enjoy my sleep. I thought this was lack of seriousness.

Host was great and accommodating
I feel the property was a little over priced. The rate was the same if not more than some of the hotel rates in the area. My husband booked and did not read the fine print and thought it was a Hotel because of the rate. We changed units and access was a bit of an issue because fingerprints could not be taken after 5pm on a Saturday.
