Pool was dirty could not use. One review this was stated and Brooke said the vacuum was broken but had been fixed. So does that mean she didn’t bother cleaning it for my stay? Room was warm with window cooler and 3 fans going. Killed 2 (2 inch long cockroaches in the bathroom on 2nd and 3rd nights) I could not take that, i slept with the lights on hoping more cockroaches wouldn’t come out. I tried to reach the hostess 2 times with no response. I left and checked into a hotel for the next 3 nights of my vacation. I have pictures of the pool and the roaches.

We rented the "pool house"" expressly for the pool. We were not able to use the pool at all. The owner was not able to get it clean. This is the first time we have had an issue with a listed amenity. The property has great potential and hopefully the host will work out the pool issue. Upgrade the linens, replace the noisy air conditioner, manicure the backyard where the pool house is located, weather strip around the door. The property could be a great destination with upgrades.

My hubby and i stayed atvthe pool house....we got in and the only thing i wS surprised was there was no closet. We worked around that, when we got comfortable we were set for the week. With our 2 furbabies it was very relaxing enjoyable. Will definitely recommend to all.my friends!!!

Finding the owner's house in front wasn't too difficult. But understanding we were to walk through the owner's yard, through the wooden gate to the back yard, and THEN we would find the "pool house". Hope to stay there again soon! Thank you Brooke.

My wife and I have been to the Pool House twice now! The first time, we did a quick trip to Bay St. Louis for my wife’s birthday in 2021, and we recently stayed for our anniversary. My wife fell in love with the set up immediately upon walking into the little studio, and she loved the fact that we could bring our dogs (two Lab mixes) because she hates traveling without them. Brooke has been nothing but accommodating and gracious both times. A massive heatwave hit while we were on our last trip, and our dogs had finished their supply of water. We knew the restaurant we were at had dog bowls, so my wife messaged Brooke and asked where they usually kept them. Brooke went a step further and called the restaurant to make sure they brought us a dog bowl with fresh water out for both our dogs! I know many reviews have mentioned the pool, and I will say that Brooke works to make sure the pool is usable for her guests. In fact, during our stay, she was cleaning the pool to make sure it was suitable for us to use. We have enjoyed both of our stays there, and we will be back!

We had booked it for a week and unfortunately we needed to leave 3 days early. We do want to thank Brooke for giving us a partial refund on our unused days. However, we were not sad to be leaving the property, we should have left after arriving. We were staying with our dog and planned to spend over half of our time in the shade by the pool relaxing. In the description: A large sail shade covered the patio area, the pool was blue and clean, the lawn was mowed, there was a gas grill, there is a dead bolt lock, and emergency phone numbers. In reality: the shade sail was gone, the pool was a tan color with visible sediment -3 days later it was green, the law hadn't been mowed for a while as the tallest weed were as high as our shins, the gas grill was replaced with a charcoal grill with no charcoal, the deadbolt was on the door but the hole in the frame was plugged shut. In the walkway from the car to the room there are a lot of weeds & I dug up poison ivy that was growing alongside the stepping stones for obvious reasons. The poor window a/c unit worked hard and loud 24/7. A cockroach over 2" crawling on the bathroom wall in the middle of the night. The only umbrella/shade blew out of the table and shattered leaving us with no shade at all. While setting (legs only) in the pool we could see that this property has amazing potential but needs to be maintained if going to be open for guests. I took pictures of it all to document if needed and to prove we left it clean.
