It was set back from the main road, so it was quiet but easy to access the road out of the area. It was central to Rapid Bay, Normanville and Kangaroo Island to name but a few of areas of Tourist interest. The room had a Microwave, Fridge, Toaster, Tea and Coffee facilities. The owners had provided a complimentary basket of goodies, such as Biscuits (Tim Tams) Crisps, sweets, Cheesy savoury snacks etc. I would recommend the Lodge without hesitation.

We stayed in the stone cottage which was very rustic. Liz was very accommodating and helpful.
The was a lot of Traffic noise that started at 6:30am.

There were quite a few stairs to access room. Stair rails were good.

The owners were very personable and helpful, accomodation was clean and comfortable. Greenery was beautiful surrounding the lodge.
The shower head and inside of shower had mold growing, so the bathroom could’ve been cleaner. Perhaps a shower head replacement?

It was a blessing to find this lodge for a time of rest and recreation after months of stressful activities. The location was awesome and Matthew was friendly and accomodating. Thanks heaps to the owners.

The studio had basic kitchen (no stove) good bathroom and comfortable beds! it was quite even if if was off the main road! the host welcome us and even gave us some tips for our trip! super helpful!

Matthew was a great host and kind enough to upgrade us without asking so we could be more comfortable. The rooms are clean and the beds are pristine. Good water pressure in the bath. Lots of lights outside when it’s dark and Matt was always ready to help with any requests. Good location, just 10 mins from Normanville. Will definitely stay here again.

Beautiful location, plenty of areas to just sit outside and take in the scenery and listen to the birds. We were also given a map on arival showing us some areas to go sight seing,and also told a bit about the history of the area. The staff were very accomidating when it came to my dietry requirements for the continental breakfast.

Didnt have breakfast there . Location was good , in amongst the trees etc and close to the beach . Close to cafes , shops , pubs in Normanville and Yank .
Bathroom a bit bigger , but I know that cant be helped . Over all pretty good !

Top location for visiting the peninsular. Main road was noisy until about 9pm the it was ok. We see catered.

We provided our own breakfast. Second Valley is close to excellent National parks, in which we enjoyed walking.

The cottages are well maintained and country cute accommodation set under trees and with the cool decks to sit and enjoy the bush. It’s a good location on route to Cape Jervis and whilst not on Second Valley beach, it’s not even a 2km walk.
Could set up power points better so you are not pulling out microwave and kettle and toaster; didn’t like not being able to wash dishes easily due to no hot water in kitchen however appreciated hot strong shower. The mozzies go crazy through vent in bathroom so that’s an issue on a hot night.
