Our grown family enjoyed our stay and found the rental to be well-equipped for family time together. Kitchen was very well-stocked and the open floor plan made gathering together great. Plenty of spaces for mixing with different activities at the same time! Comfortable and pleasant describe all sleeping areas.

It was very clean and easily accommodated 6 adults and 3 children. Kitchen was well stocked with basics. Lots of games and videos as well as air hockey and soccer that the kids enjoyed. Lots of wood for bonfires at night. Trish was a wonderful host and sent us many suggestions for things to do in the area.

We enjoyed every part of our stay at Northern Lights. Our group included 2 families with young children (ages 4 and 6) and the set up of the home was fantastic. Well stocked kitchen. Easy access to Big Powderhorn. Clean and updated. Fantastic DVD and game collection. The owners were welcoming and easy to engage with. All the small attention to details including full ice trays, hot cocoa, little chocolates and plenty of kindling and firewood were greatly appreciated. Overall wonderful place and great long family ski weekend.

This is an exceptional cabin! Perfectly situated just a short walk to the ski hill (really a ski in/ski out). Beautifully decorated, very clean, in great condition, and fully stocked with anything we needed. Owner is super responsive and helpful. We can’t wait to return to this house!

We had a great stay at Northern Lights. Large comfortable, clean home, very well equipped. It had every thing we needed and more. The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms clean with a large living space. There was even a Christmas tree

We had a fantastic time staying at this property. Every little detail was so well-thought out. It was our home away from home for a few days and the kids and adults alike loved staying at Northern Lights! Trish was so accommodating! She did an excellent job of communicating with me and meeting all of our needs. The online pictures and descriptions are all very accurate, but it’s even more perfect in person. I would highly recommend this property!

Wonderful Cabin in the Northwoods
My family and I stayed in this beautiful property while we visited northern WI to bury my grandfather in Hurley, WI.
Check-in was seamless. Property was just as the pictures and listing described. The host, Trish, was very responsive, kind, and accommodating.
We had 7 adults and 2 children in our group. Everyone fit very comfortably in the space.
We enjoyed the outdoor grill and fire pit space the most. The kids enjoyed playing with all the games the house was stocked with.
We would definitely stay in this home again. We loved it!

Fantastic house, excellent hosts
The house exceeded our expectations. It was very well appointed - the hosts thought of everything. It felt like we were at home because anything we went looking for was already there, blankets, firewood, flashlights, K-cups, etc. The hosts maintained great communication througout the weekend. The beds were comfortable and had quality linens. We may schedule a family stay during ski season because of the accommodations!

Great House, Great Host, Would Not Change a Thing
The house is just like it is shown in the pictures and more. The kitchen is stocked with everything you could need to cook full meals, bedrooms and bathrooms with top notch linens and towels, walking distance to Big Powderhorn for skiing. The hosts are super accommodating and respond quickly to all communications. We would absolutely visit the Northern Lights Lodge again!

Annual snowmobile trip
We just returned from a great weekend up at the Northern Lights Lodge. The house was great for our party of five adults who went snowmobiling for the weekend. Everyone had their own bedroom and there was plenty of room for more people if you had larger families. The house was in great shape and well-maintained. I would definitely recommend this house to anyone looking to go up to the UP whether it’s snowmobiling, snow skiing or just enjoying the outdoors.

This place had all the amenities that we needed. We had such a lovely time. Everyone had a great place to sleep and there were 12 of us! We truly loved the layout and the views are gorgeous.

Our family had such a great time at this cabin. It’s really spacious unlike a lot of ski rentals and has a lot of thoughtful details. Hot cocoa, popcorn, games, movies, toys. The location is great and although not truly ski in/ski out it is easy to get on the trail. The host was excellent and easy to communicate with. Clear instructions for check out and using things around the house. Highly recommend!

Perfect place for our family of 10. Enough beds, enough dining space, enough room for the kids to play, enough space for family games and puzzles. Very well maintained and decorated., very clean and well-stocked, very comfortable. The nearby downhill skiing, cross country skiing, and snowshoeing were so much fun.

This property was perfect for our stay. We had 3 families with kids from age 4 - 13. We had plenty of space for the adults and the kids. The house had a cozy cabin feel but was still updated and clean. Proximity to Big Powderhorn Mountain was ideal. We were 3 min away so easy to come back to the house, eat lunch and warm up. The kitchen had everything we needed including hot chocolate and marshmallows. The heated floors in the kitchen and bathroom were amazing! The owners were incredibly responsive. I would definitely recommend and we plan to come back. Thank you Brad and Trish!

This house is huge and we only used a fraction of it, 3 people, our son came down with Covid and had to stay home. The beds were so comfortable, the kitchen had EVERYTHING and the wood burning fireplace was amazing (fully stocked with wood and kindling). We had an amazing 72 hours of peace, games, skiing and family. Highly recommend this property winter or summer!

Christmas Bliss
We spent our first Christmas away from home this year and we weren't disappointed! This home was beautiful, immaculate and had everything we needed. It was even decorated for Christmas! Summer vacation 2021
It was a perfect house that had everything you can possible need ( except laundry ) . Super clean , comfortable beds , well equipped kitchen and comfortable couches. We enjoyed the house so much that did not to leave at the end of the vacation. Would highly recommend!

We had a great time! Trish responded in a timely manner to any of my inquiries. The house accommodated our family of 6 adults and 2 kids quite well. One adult is in a wheelchair and while the entrance is not accessible, we were able to make it work and had plenty of space for mobility.
The house had everything ready - from baby bibs to paper towels to camping chairs. Anything small you may have forgotten was available in the house.
Great area for many quiet morning and evening walks. Quick drive to beaches and many waterfalls. Would highly recommend to others looking for a peaceful getaway. Thanks Trish and Brad!

This was the perfect cabin for our family. Great location for skiing with all the north woods charm we hoped to find. We especially appreciated all of the little extras the owners have ready for guests; lotion, coffee creamer, a full spice rack, etc.

We loved our stay and plan to return.
The house was well equipped and we loved the fireplace and supply of wood to burn. Brad and Trish did an excellent job making sure we were well informed before arrival and also checked in with us to make sure everything was good during out stay. Big Powderhorn closed for a day because of temps (40 below wind chill :-o) but we were so comfortable hanging out at the property, playing games (provided), watching TV, and burning a fire. The comfort of the house made for a lifelong memory.

Great selection of movies for all ages, games, children’s toys. Truly something for everyone. The owners were also amazing. We did have two issues during our stay. I messaged the owners and they replied immediately and had a person to the house promptly both times to resolve the issue. They were great to work with. We would definitely return! Very well stocked and supplied with items not always provided by owners (e.g. hot cocoa, popcorn, plenty of seasonings, soap, toilet paper etc). Great selection of movies for all ages, games, children’s toys. Truly something for everyone. The owners were also amazing. We did have two issues during our stay.
