This is a lovely old house smack in the middle of the Historic District. 5 minute walk to the waterfront and surrounded by lovely city park blocks. House was in good condition and all bedrooms were pleasant. My only 'beef' is the cleaning fee was very high (and non-negotiable) for a quick stay.

It is right next to a bar and a restaurant, but it was never too noisy. The burrito place right next door was terrible - no one could eat the food cause it was so salty, and I love salt! There was a great restaurant named j. Christopher’s right across the street and a cute diner namer Clary’s down the road. The house was clean, but the bottom of my daughter’s feet were black after she ran around barefoot for an hour. We loved the games that were there. It’s an old house so we weren’t surprised at some little things like the door knobs not turning well or it taking 5 min to get hot water in the shower - they even warn you with signs in the bathroom. Honestly, it just added to the charm of the place. Overall we were very happy and we were sad to leave!

First of all, even though there is a note on the front door and instructions in the book, we could not enter through the front door. We could not get the brass lock to disengage. This should really be fixed as it made our stay inconvenient.Secondly, the bathroom layout isn't the best, which is difficult to understand with the description. Upstairs there are 4 bedrooms and a pull out sofa, but only 2 bathrooms. Yet, there are 2 full bathrooms downstairs with only one bedroom.Third, this home is difficult for elderly people to stay in. The only ways in the home are up stairs. Also, the bed is too high in the downstairs bedroom and it is so large, there is not room to get around the bed with a walker or wheelchair. Even though I thought it would work with the description on the website, my elderly mother had to check into a hotel instead. Other than those issues, it was a great place to stay.

The house and especially the kitchen had everything we needed. We visited Savannah for a girls trip. The city is very walkable and had a great time at the local bar next door, Pinky Masters. Thank you so much for the wonderful weekend. We highly recommend The Simon!

The home was beautiful and clean but there was an odor of septic waste in the back foyer that was hard to mask. It lingered throughout our entire stay. The location was outstanding and close to everything , linens were clean and fresh, and the house stocked well for our stay. Very lovely home with attention to detail. You could tell the owners care for their home and want their guests to have a very nice experience. WIFI was hit or miss. On a another note..I called the management company on three occasions - the days before and the day of arrival (speaking with Vincent and then Kaitlin) to see if we could get an early check in and was told that I would get a notification on my app if housekeeping finished up early ( Kaitlin expressed this to me on the day of check in as we were riding in circles to kill time in the rain for a couple of hours). We finally drove on to the property about 30 minutes early and called management again and was helped by a very nice lady who said she would assist us checking in and that the property had not been used before our arrival and was ready to go. Why couldn't this have been looked up before? Just a quick glance at the computer would have gone a long way. This was my second unprofessional interaction with Kaitlin..the first being when I finally gave up getting her assistance with booking a property (she kept sending me properties outside of my specifications), she disagreed, and I ended up researching/finding the properties for our two very large groups myself instead. Maybe some customer service retraining?

It was great to be able to park the car in our designated parking space and not have to worry about traffic or parking during our entire stay. This home is an exquisite grand dame. It is elegant, but at the same time spacious and comfortable. If you want a true historic Savannah experience with modern amenities, I highly recommend this gorgeous home.

We enjoyed this property! It was in a good location downtown, very well equipped, and exactly like it was described. The parking in back was really nice, having stayed downtown before without dedicated free parking in the past. The wrap around porch is just the quintessential Savannah vibe, and we loved it! Check in and communication was smooth, we overall were impressed with this property and would stay here again.

We had 4 girlfriends meeting from Philly and 2 from Cocoa Beach in Savannah. It was a fabulous weekend and the house was perfect! Location was superb and house was awesome. Everything we hoped for and more.

Beautifully restored home furnished for comfort and relaxation. The location is perfect, with a funky local night spot next door, easy walk to many attractions and restaurants and a reasonable walk to all the amenities of the riverfront area.

Our whole family (except the bride) stayed at The Simon. All the 6 grandchildren and their parents and the mother & father of the bride. It was spacious and well equipped. We saved the biggest and most elegant bedroom for the bridal party hair and makeup and there was plenty of room to spread out and dress. Lots of great light. We also hosted a morning after brunch and the house was spectacular for that. The kitchen was so beautifully stocked with everything we could have imagined for the brunch. We had “taste of Savannah” in each room. Everyone had such a good time and the house provided such a warm and inviting space with a lovely fluidity of the rooms! The wrap-around porch was just a delightful place to hang and helped create a casual, at-home atmosphere. The deep tub made for a very welcome hot soak for the mother of the bride once the festivities were done. Of course, all the other on-site wedding activities were front and center but our family and the wedding guests will be talking about The Simon whenever they talk about this wedding!

Beautiful house in a perfect central location, great for family or groups

We had a restful and relaxing stay in Savannah. The Simon was in the perfect spot - walking distance to many things.

We chose this house to celebrate some friends turning 40, the location was great, we were close to restaurants, a great karaoke place, 10 min walk from shopping and about 15 mins from river street. There was plenty of space for us all to spread out and we loved the charm of the old house, bed were comfortable and we had our own parking spots which was a huge plus!

My girlfriends and I spent 3 days at the Simon House while in Savannah for a girls trip. Loved the house and all the amenities. We would definitely recommend this property to others or consider staying again if we decide to go back to Savannah at some point.

We are tough critics. My wife and I insist on cleanliness and this place passed the white glove test! It is very well equipped and the furniture is in excellent shape. Super location, only moved our car to go to a nearby grocery store.
