Sheets were stained and we saw 4 cockroaches during our weekend. But for the amount of people it fits and the price ot was great for us

we loved how close it was to everything. the wedding was at the treasury downtown st augustine . my sister & family had the first floor . me , husband & other sister / husband had second floor . what we were very disappointed about is our son & his wife to be wanted the top floor . he is the one that found the property for all us . when he booked the reservation ( also myself 2nd floor & my sister on 1 st floor ) all 3 of our reservations were for the wrong dates . All 3 of us booked our reservations separately.. me in Fl , sister inSC & son in as in idaho at the time . Long story short . we changed the dates to the correct dates & was told that the top floor was booked & not available. so my son and future wife ( & her family ) rented another house . The 3rd floor was not stayed in Wed , Thur night . finally friday night we saw 1 van . Saturday morning it was gone & never saw anyone else . we left sunday around 10:30. i was so upset because we wanted our son / future wife and family to be with us . but , the property was nice beds are a bit hard and there are no coaster for the drinks . it is as written over and over to use coasters . Just never saw not even 1 on the 2nd floor .

A group of friends and I booked this condo for another friend's wedding. The location was so convenient and close to downtown St Augustine that we were able to walk everywhere, weather permitting. The 2 designated parking spots were also a plus, although it was easy to find additional parking nearby as well. The condo is spacious and well maintained. There was more than enough space in the common area for 8 adults to play board games and get ready for the wedding. The hosts were super helpful and responded quickly to any and all questions we had before and during our stay. The only notable issue we ran into was the ants in one of the bathrooms and the cockroaches. The ants were all over the shower and at one point got all the way to the sink as well. We also saw about 5-6 cockroaches in the kitchen/living room areas during our 4 day, 3 night stay. We do think the rain during our stay could have contributed to the large amount of bugs we saw in the condo since we didn't have any issues the first day when the weather was warm and sunny. Overall, we really enjoyed our time staying at this condo and would definitely recommend it for the proximity to downtown St Augustine and the responsive and helpful hosts.

We were there for a wedding and some of the other families grabbed the upper and lower floors - which made it easy to hang out. Big space and good location. Would come back again to stay here

We had a great experience staying at this condo. Everything was clean and the walking distance to St George Street was only a few minutes! That can't be beat! We will definitely use this condo the next time we stay in St Augustine!

Communication with management was excellent. Apartment is spacious and clean!! Beds were very comfortable. Bathrooms were well stocked and kitchen was well equipped. The neighborhood is a mixed bag with some rundown properties and some lovely ones. The area is not well lit. The foyer/elevator entrance area is pitch dark after sunset and it was impossible to see the keypad without a flashlight app. This is not the best situation. Overall though this apartment is GREAT. Excellent stay!!! Highly recommend!

We had a great week visiting St. Augustine at the end of February and our stay at the Ray helped to make the vacation special. The things we loved about the Ray: • It was very roomy and clean. • We liked being on the 2nd floor so we were able to leave the windows open. • As the temperature and humidity rose, we were able to use the ceiling fans (in every room) and, later in the week, turn on the A/C. We stayed comfortable. • The location was perfect. • Plenty of parking. Each rental came with two (2) parking spots. It was so nice to have a guaranteed spot sine parking and traffic in St. Augustine was crazy. • Dan from Ancient City Hideaways was always responsive. • The Welcome Booklet was fantastic! Things we were not so much in love with: • The bed sheets were some sort of polyester and we all slept hot in them. Each of us woke up sweating each night. It would be nice to have sheets that breath – especially in Florida. • The hair dryers only had two options – super hot and regular air temperature. There was no choice for medium heat. It was very annoying. • It would have been nice if there were directions for using the washing machine. I had never used a top-loading washing machine that did not have an agitator. It hardly filled up with water. I had to Google the manual and watch a YouTube video to understand that it only gets the clothes damp and the friction of the damp cloths agitating is supposed to wash the clothes. Our clothes did get clean.

The Condo itself was awesome. The Area it is located in is a little sketchy. I do see that they have remedied the issue of not having any pictures of the building so that people know what they are looking for when they arrive. (especially at night as there are not street lights)

The Ray 2nd floor is over the top on everything it said it would be. We were so impressed from the cleanliness of the place right down to the kitcken having everything we need to cook our first meal that night. Waking distance was close to everything. there was so much information give to us about everything. And I cant say enough how Daniel was so intouch with us. I asked many questions and he answered right away.. My Family and I are looking into the future to rent more places from you.. Vantastic Job Kathy

The property was exactly as advertised and very well located. It suited my family’s needs perfectly. It also had two parking spaces which is rare. Iwould not hesitate to stay again in the future.

I cannot say enough about how wonderful our stay was. The condo was spacious, clean, charming, in a great location, just all around fantastic! We went during Christmas, and this year happened to be pretty cold for Florida. But not even the colder temperature could stop our stay from being magical. St. Augustine during Christmastime is a wonderland. Our condo was walking distance to downtown, and even with the cold it was close enough. I absolutely would stay here again, and in fact my daughter and husband want to come back and stay here. Kudos!

If you want to your around St Augustine, this is the place to use as your home base. It has dedicated parking which is a huge plus. Easy walk to the main downtown area, Bridge of Lions, shops. The Ray made you feel a little connection with Ray Charles. A bit of history I hadn't heard of before. You'll have to go to know. We had a great time! Thanks to Danny and Andrea!

This property was wonderful to rent. The owner was very helpful and responsive. There was a small issue that was taken care of immediately. This is a fun property to stay in where Ray Charles played one of his first performances. There is even a Victrola and a couple Ray Charles vinyl! This property is within easy walking distance to downtown, restaurants and the fort. Recommend highly!

This property was just amazing!!! Absolutely spotless ~ the floor plan is so spacious and grand!!! I was with my grown up children and it was like we each had our own suite. So close to everything in town!! Walking distance!! Had an amazing dinner at The Preserve ~ and celebrated a fabulous wedding at The White Room ~ Roof Top!! Watched the Christmas Boat Parade!!! Will definitely keep this spot in our repertoire, Thanks Andrea & Dan for being such marvelous hosts!!!

The property location is perfect to walk everywhere downtown. The property was spotless. We had great communication with Danny since we arrived the day after the storm. I highly recommend this wonderful property.

Had a great time and the place looks great. A few things need attention, small ants in two bathrooms, need tvs in bedrooms, master bath tub hardly draining, beds are low and very hard but we did sleep good, need grab bars in bathrooms.

Great property. This is the second time we stayed at “the ray” , so obviously there is something we liked. Very convenient location for walking the historic district. The place is open, and feels very spacious. This visit there was an elevator issue probably due to the aftermath of hurricane ian. It was no big deal for us. We will strongly consider “the ray” for our next visit to the city.

Overall the property was clean and well maintained. We had a slight problem getting in when we first arrived. The procedure for using the elevator would not work. We tried several times and finally called for the assistance. The answering service had us use the staircase. This was quite long, especially because our group were all over70 years old. We made several trips to finally get our suitcases to the 2nd floor condo. There were many great activities a short walk away.

We wanted to take our friend from Slovenia to St Augustine. The place was decorated beautifully. In walking distance of all the great places of downtown St.Augustine.

The apartment is fantastic, everything you could wish for. There are 3 bedrooms and bathrooms and the living area is open plan which is perfect for hanging out together. It is only a few minutes walk from downtown St Augustine and all that has to offer. We didn’t have a car, but there are 2 car spaces if needed. Daniel, the manager was great. Very quick communication and so helpful. Loved it and would definitely stay here again.

The property was perfect size, spacious. The front patio was very nice for sitting in the Sun. There was a small issue when we arrived and it was quickly resolved by our hosts.

Very convenient location, so much to do within walking distance. The apartment is wonderful with plenty of room for 2 couples. We are thinking about making St Augustine and The Ray a yearly trip.
