Dryer didn’t work, needed some renovation

The views were amazing, especially the sunset, and the location is perfect for exploring Hattaras island. You can walk or bike to nearby beaches and a few restaurants. It’s a close drive to buxton to see the lighthouse.

The place is in major disrepair. I contacted the management company as the house was in unacceptable condition when we checked in: there were stained and dirty carpets that smelled, the kitchen sink had a terrible odor coming up from the pipe, and we saw roaches in the kitchen the first night. They sent an exterminator and sent housecleaning back to shampoo carpets and clean up. They also credited back my cleaning fee. The furniture is shabby and falling apart. The internet didn’t work and I spent more than an hour on the phone with technical support to fix it. This is a no smoking property but I found cigarette butts littered every where in the grass presumably from the last guests.

Unable to use one of the rooms due to leakage on the ceiling. Contacted customer service said they couldn't do anything till it stopped raining. Didn't use the room for remainder of trip.
