Awesome w/e. Beautiful and quaint town. A lot of history. Friendly people.

The property is quaint and cozy, clean and somewhat spacious for a small spot. However, this property is an older property and it showed in a number of ways. For starters, the ceilings are no higher than 7' throughout the property except the kitchen and bathroom where it was maybe 7' 5" high. The living room and bedrooms had ceiling fans, but my friend and I who stayed are both above 6' tall so we were at eye level with the fans. Speaking of bedrooms, they list two bedrooms but in actuality it is one PRIVATE bedroom and one room with a bed and no door to make it private. This room was directly across the bathroom so anyone using the facilities would be able to see what you are doing in the room, and of course if they use it while sleeping you likely are now awake since there is no door to help keep the noise out. The bathroom floor around the toilet sometimes shakes a bit when flushing due to a likely issue with plumbing, and the hot water is SCAULDING HOT when used just a little bit. The location of the property is great being near the downtown area, and for what it's worth it isn't a bad place but there are better out there for the money. FYI This booking happened because VRBO/Travelocity messed up my actual booking (they listed a property that was delisted over 1.5months before I booked it and never let me know, the owner of that property did).

The cozy cottage serves it purpose for a place to stay. However, it is near a busy road and was a bit noisier than I had expected. One of the bedrooms does not have a door, which wasn't a huge inconvenience for us, but I did not realize this ahead of time. I did like having the owner right next door for any needs with the home. There is not a washer and dryer but a local laundry mat close by.

The house was clean and a good location

Cottage was as advertised. Small, but certainly adequate. Beds were very comfortable. Nice location. Close to the Sanford Historical District. Dixon answered any question or need. When I asked him to check out the picnic table, he saw it needed replaced and brought in a new one within several days. If you are staying more than a week, be advised that there is no washer and dryer, so you will need to go to a laundromat. Also, storage in the kitchen is limited. We enjoyed our stay the month of February.

We had plans to visit central Florida and spent two and a half weeks at this property. The property was very clean, comfortable and convenient. Enjoyed visiting attractions, dining and antiquing all over central Florida. Would definitely utilize this location in future.

Walking distance to downtown Sanford and the River Walk. Easy drive to Orlando and theme parks. Comfy cottage with a great back yard.
