We stayed a night to celebrate a birthday in Barrie. The house was perfect for a small group of well behaved kids. They loved the water and layout of the home, plus being right beside a proper beach and big playground.
The area was quiet during the day and evening which was surprising and the landscape view from the balcony and backyard were beautiful.
Curtis was a great host and assisted with any questions we had. The house has just about everything we needed for a fun and memorable stay.
We would definitely come back again.

Curtis is super responsive to all our questions. The place is clean and tidy as shown in the pictures, with a superb view of the bay from the master bedroom. The sauna experience was excellent and we had a wonderful two-night stay here. Recommended to all!

Great location with tones of activities for adults and children. Lots of room for the whole family. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets and a great fire pit to keep warm while enjoying the night sky.

What can I say? Book it! It's an amazing property. Clean and fully equipped for a comfortable stay. Little note: the house has a cozy barrel chair with a spectacular view of the lake- best morning coffee spot. The dock is great and the water is clean. The lake was pretty active with boating, parasailing, paddle boarding, etc. There is beach park close by with extra parking and a play ground for the kids. 3 mins away, a little shop with vintage knick knacks and ice cream. Overall, great place to relax, spend time with family/friends and enjoy the water.

The Perfect Weekend Getaway
From the moment we walked in the door, to the second we went to bed, the property was outfitted with all that we needed to visit with friends and sit back and relax. Curtis kindly made sure clean towels, as well as ice, soap, garbage bags, paper towels, expresso pods, etc were at our disposal. There was nothing this place was lacking. Curtis was quick to respond to any questions we had and accommodated in way needed. Thank you from all of us for such a wonderful weekend.

I booked Curtis’s place for my 30th birthday weekend and we all had an AMAZING time! The house was absolutely stunning and the view was even better! It was such a beautiful spot that you would have no idea was so serene and breathtaking being in Barrie! I got extremely lucky with the weather for my weekend. So spacious for all of my guests, inside and outside! Fire pit and all! One of my favourite things was the master bedroom with its own massive balcony! The only thing I was confused about was the bunk bed room, which I thought had 2 more beds in that room, but enough space for all! I will ABSOLUTELY recommend Curtis’s Barrie Escape and will definitely be booking in the future! OH AND 10/10 fantastic host! So easy to communicate with and 10/10 responsiveness! THANK YOU CURTIS! My friends and I rent a property every year for a weekend away. This was by far the best property we have ever booked. The check-in process was seamless. The property itself was beautiful and the beds were so comfortable. The home was fully stocked with anything you could possibly need/want. Beautiful comfortable stay
It was such a beautiful stay. We had nothing bad to say. The bed was comfortable, everything was spotless, well decorated, lots of kitchen space and outdoor seating for the guests around the fire pit.
We accidentally broke a glass and Curtis (our host) told us not to worry about it which was very nice of him. He replied to our messages almost right aways every time which was much appreciated!
The only thing I would suggest for the property owner is to provide softer pillows. Overall, we had such an amazing time there as a family. Thank you for being an excellent host!

The beds, linens were so comfortable, the kitchen had everything you needed, tons of chairs outside by the fire and dock, and they provided so many towels for swimming!
The water was crystal clear and just perfect. It was beside a park, walking trails and close to some cool amenities.

Our family had the most wonderful time at Curti's cottage this past July.
The grounds are absolutely beautiful, the cottage is immaculate and fully stocked with everything you could ever need and more.
Most importantly, Curtis is an amazing host who goes above and beyond to ensure his guests are happy.
The location is hard to beat, close to little shops and the town for groceries, restaurants, shopping etc... Directly across the street there is also a little playground for kids, and an ice cream shop within walking distance. There are also beautiful walking trails.
I would 100% recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing cottage getaway. We look forward to returning next summer.

Spectacular
Just wow, what an amazing stay. The house is immaculate. Right on the water, dock and the clearest water. Everything was provided; from fresh towels to stocked kitchen utensils. Clean Comfy beds and linens, and friendly neighborhood. Will definitely stay here again. Don't hesitate on booking this cottage. Everything was just as promised. Curtis did an amazing job on this cottage.
