We truly enjoyed our stay at Journeys End, the accommodations were excellent. The property is located right on the Doe River, and the view is priceless. Our host was warm and generous!

Wonderful two night mother-daughter getaway! Communication was great all the way through; check-in and check-out were easy (they even texted the day before our arrival to let us know the space would be ready early, which was a wonderful surprise). The loft has everything you might need and is fully up to date. The very best feature though is the river. From the back deck you really don't see neighboring houses at all- just the river and forest. Absolutely beautiful and relaxing! We even saw a river otter playing and swimming along the bank one morning! Hoping to return!

The apartment (Loft) was beautifully decorated with comfortable furniture. Large bathroom with washer and dryer was a plus. Nice view of the creek from the back porch and windows. Neighborhood was very quiet. We enjoyed our short stay and recommend this property as a nice retreat for a couple.

We were so surprised when we opened the door for the first time.
The Loft had every amenities possible, super clean, and the view was amazing.
We were able to be in contact with the owners who were very helpful and had a positive outlook.

The sound of the Doe River and the birds was a welcome respite. It feels like you are miles away from everything. But all the conveniences are close by. The Loft is comfortable and well furnished. We really enjoyed our time there.

This is the place to stay when you want down time, porch time, river time, fishing time, quiet time and most of all a nice place to stay.
You do not need to bring anything. They have it all.

This loft was beautiful and so relaxing. It was clean and stocked with everything you would need. The river outback is calming and full of trout! We would def, book this place again!

Excellent property. Very clean and modern. We enjoyed a week of relaxation. We were expecting cooler temps but we apparently picked the hottest week of the year. We'll come back and use firepit. We did catch some trout and enjoyed a delicious dinner. Great hosts!

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at the Loft. The home was so well thought out in details, provisions,and decor. Everywhere you looked you discovered something new to look at. The clock near the sliding glass door fascinated us..lol!! It has a lot of neighbors which kind of concerned us, but the neighborhood was quiet and sitting out near the river, you felt like you were the only ones back there. We cast a line a few times although we didnt catch anything. The only thing that we did not like was how hard the bed was. Neither of us slept well. Otherwise, we really enjoyed staying here!!

The Loft is a wonder place to escape the busyness of everyday life and slow down to enjoy listening to nature. The accommodations are beautifully decorated, very comfortable, and extremely clean. The kitchen is well equipped and the WiFi service was strong. A great place for a personal getaway or a working retreat.

Celebrating our anniversary, my husband and I wanted to nestle in the mountains. The Loft was perfect! While listening to the Doe River, you can see beautiful mountain peaks. So many hiking trails are within a short drive. Everything you could ever need is at your fingertips in this rental-- for indoor, deck or campfire cooking. Everything is impeccably clean and ready for you to use. I would definitely recommend the Loft and return if I find myself back in the Elizabethton area.

My wife and I stayed here as we visited Tennessee for the first time. We were scouting the Sri cities area as a possible retirement location. We found our retirement spot. We absolutely fell in love with the area and people, and it all started with this booking. Richard and Diane have done a phenomenal job with their two properties. It was by far the best VRBO we have stayed at. It was extremely clean and Diane did an amazing job decorating. hearing the Doe River was amazing and so peaceful. I even caught two of the biggest Trout so far in my fishing career. I highly recommend either of Richard and Diane's properties. They were kind enough to show us their other property next door and it was just as beautiful as the loft. Again, outstanding property and owners. Thnx!

We stayed to go to a nearby wedding. The place was perfect for us. It was clean and cozy! Loved hearing the sound of the river water outside. Too cold to enjoy the outside fire area, but loved the whole set up!

Although the temps stayed in the single digits and the Doe River was partially frozen, we had a great trip. The space is lovely with great views and definitely upscale. Everything was spotless, and the heating system never let us down. Richard stayed in contact checking on us to make sure everything was okay. He made sure the snow was off the steps every day - travelling on the snowy and icy roads from a nearby town to do so. The location was perfect. Close enough to the highway to be convenient but far enough away to feel away from it all. And no steep hills where u need 4WD which is very common in that area. Wonderful in all ways!

Richard and Diane’s place was perfect, beautiful, peaceful, and we never wanted to leave. The River was mesmerizing, the deck was so inviting, the bed was very comfortable, the house was so clean, and it had everything we needed. Can you tell we loved it? If the opportunity arises, we would love to stay here again. Thank you for your hospitality…. It was perfect.

Rarely do you find a site exactly as advertised. If anything this property surpassed that. Richard and Diane our hosts were there to greet us when we arrived and even helped us unload our gear. We had a wonderful 5 days and definitely plan to return sometime in the future.

My husband and I stayed here for 10 nights. The property is so nice with the Doe river in your backyard. The loft is super cute and the kitchen is a really nice size so you can cook your meals. The deck off of the dining room area is awesome. I did yoga every morning on the deck. So peaceful. Even when it was chilly I used the throw blanket they had and it was so nice to be cozy and warm and listen to the river. The hosts were very responsive in answering any questions I had before arriving and during our stay. My husband and I hope to stay here again. If you are looking for some good waterfall hikes blue hole falls is beautiful and so is Laurel Falls. Also kayaking at Wilbur lake is beautiful.

This place is perfect for a couple’s getaway. The owners seem to have thought of everything you could need to have a great time along the river. If you’re in the Tri-city area of northeastern Tennessee I suggest you check out the Loft at Journey’s End.
