I have been going to Folly Beach for the better part of a decade now and have gotten to know it fairly well. My father actually lives right around the corner in a lovely, but small house and we usually stay with him. But, with him and his wife getting a little older and my kids getting into their teens and early 20’s, we needed somewhere we could call our own and hopefully have a little more space to enjoy. Well, this house was the absolute perfect solution.
First off, it’s clean, well appointed and with tons to do on a sunny (or rainy) day. Having the pool with the covered BBQ and outdoor dining area was a game changer for us. And directly adjacent to the outdoor areas is the great room with TV, music (excellent playlists included), more dining and a pool table! So fun!
The kitchen is perfectly layed out, has everything you need and is not left completely stripped of the basics like so many rental houses have been for us in the past.
The bedrooms are well sized, beds are comfortable, showers are great and the kids room has a bunch of toys for the little ones.
On top of it all, the owners couldn’t have been more clear and responsive to our needs.
All of this just two blocks from the beach!!!
We couldn’t have been more happy with our thanksgiving week here and will do it again during spring and summer.

The house was clean and everything worked as described. Lots of little signs to help you use all the amenities, kitchen, the Sonos sound system etc.
We absolutely loved the pool and outdoor area. Our visit was in October and it was totally worth it to have the pool heated, everyone loved it!
Our friends we thrilled when they saw the pool table, which is on the opposite side of the house from the bedrooms — a nice touch if you have kids with an early bedtime but the adults want to stay up and play pool or hang out by the swimming pool.
The beach is super close and the neighborhood is cute and quiet.
For parents of little ones there are a few interior steps with a barn door (you can see them in the pictures) but with no latch which our toddler figured out very quickly. Wasn’t an issue in the end with a bit of extra diligence as he was learning to go up and down stairs safely anyway.

Loved staying in this beautiful home! It was immaculate and provided everything you could possibly want. The pool was clean and the property is very well maintained. Great outdoor area to relax. The pool was perfect. The beds were all comfortable. Lots of space for 6 adults. One item to note: if you have adults utilizing the bedroom that had the twin/trundle bed, there really isn’t a dedicated dresser for that room however, this wouldn't keep us from renting again at all. Kitchen had everything you would need. We used the outdoor shower more than the indoor one. With regard to the outdoor shower curtain, bring clips to keep the curtains together. If there is a breeze, the curtain tends to stick to you/pulls apart. Quiet area, felt private and was truly a great find on Folly!!

This was our first trip to Folly Beach and we loved it. The island is small and easily travelled from tip to tip with a golf cart (which we highly recommend renting by the way). The house was perfectly located away from any congestion, a short walk or golf cart ride to the beach (we used the golf cart when lugging chairs, boards, coolers, etc and walked when just heading for a swim). The house is very comfortable and in Great condition. We loved the pool and swam every day typically with a lunch and or dinner meal off the grill. At night we relaxed with games of billiards (house has a pool table) or a movie or board game. Bert’s market is close and has generally what you need, we made a night ice cream run a typical occurrence and picked up last minute (butter, ketchup, snacks, etc) as needed (again leveraging that golf cart - we rented from Charleston Golf Carts).

We stayed at this beautiful house in Folly Beach with our daughter. son-in-law and three grandchildren ages 6, 4, and 14 months. The house and property were PERFECT! The kids (and adults as well) LOVED the private pool! The kids love what they call “Night Swims!” The whole patio, pool area and outdoor kitchen were unbelievable! The inside was so comfortable and beautifully furnished… but VERY “kid-friendly!” The kids brought their own toys… but also enjoyed the toys that were available to them in the house! The large table in the “game room” was the perfect spot for “crafts” as the kids LOVE to draw, color and create with play-dough! They had PLENTY to keep them occupied when we took breaks from the sun, pool and walks to the beach ( which was just 5 minutes away.) The kitchen offered plenty of space and was well-stocked with the essentials… what we didn’t find - we purchased and left for the next set of guests! The bedrooms were roomy… the beds VERY. Comfy! Allison Atwood!!!!!! You truly have a GEM here!!!! Thank you for allowing us to enjoy an amazing week! Thank you for being so welcoming and hospitable! Word cannot express how grateful we are!!!!!

This property is perfect for small groups, there's something for everyone (heated pool, covered cabana kitchen, a pool table, quiet places to read) and room to spread out for any number of activities. The home is very well stocked with many thoughtful additions, making it feel like home. We loved our time here & would recommend this one for the value...we'll be back again!

This property has so much to offer. Our group was all adults, but options for having small children would be great as well. Clean, comfortable, the perfect location to the beac and access to town if needed.

We loved this house so much. It was perfect for our two families! All the beds were comfortable, it was so well stocked with anything you might need and had lots of different spaces for people to congregate in. The pool was amazing, especially for young kids...ours barely came out of it at all! It was an easy walk to the beach and quick drive into Charleston. Allison was very communicative and a great host. We’ll be back - highly recommend!

A great stay - everything as expected. Kitchen well stocked for some cooking though we chose to enjoy dining in the local environs. Grilled some fresh grouper from Crosby’s one night - a privilege to be so close to fresh catch! Short walk to the beach - all in all, exactly waht we needed - thanks again!

This was such a perfect house for us. The bedrooms are clean and spacious, and the mattresses are awesome. Two TV/living spaces, nice kitchen, and the backyard is incredible. The heated pool was probably the highlight of the trip.

Our stay was outstanding. Unfortunately there was a cold front they came through during our spring break week that we were there, so it was not our usual Charleston beach trip. The heated pool saved us, as it gave the kids something to do. The pool at times was not very warm and too cold for adults but I guess they was due to the weather. Alison was very responsive with any issues that had which were minimal. The house was clean and well stocked with cooking equipment, spices, beach toys, ect. Having a tv in every room is a requirement for us, so that was nice. The pool table is fun, however where it is does not allow you to fully play as your stick hits walls or windows. The washing machine had a very musky smell to it when we entered but fortunately clothes did not hold the smell. We could not for the life of us figure out how to cut off the under cabinet and counter lights so it stayed pretty bright in the living room at night. Short walk to the beach, we rented a cart to get around but it’s not a long walk to central street. Overall, wonderful stay!

My sisters and I rented this property for a week and had a wonderful stay. The home has been beautifully and thoughtfully renovated. We enjoyed using the pool each day (visited the end of February/beginning of March, so I paid to have it heated). The beds are extremely comfortable, which I greatly appreciated. All of the furnishings are tasteful and comfortable. Thanks to Allison for sharing her lovely home.

The house was even nicer in person than in the listing pictures! Everything was very clean, modern and well appointed. The pool and outdoor space were spectacular. Allison was easy to deal with and responded to any questions we had during the rental process and our stay. We will definitely be back!

This house served the intended purpose. And more! Roomy bedrooms, equipped kitchen, rec room was perfect with pool table, large TV, and fireplace/pit for ambiance. Highlight was the outdoor pool. It was January so we paid extra fee for heating. We had our grandaughters stop over and they loved the pool!!!

My family, with two children - 8 yrs & 10 yrs, reserved this house to share a long weekend with their grandparents and aunt. Honestly, we couldn't have been happier. Not only did the weather cooperate with our November getaway, but the house was the perfect gathering point. The kitchen is pretty well and thoughtfully stocked, the pool table was so fun, and oh my gosh, that salt water pool was perfect - especially happy we decided to splurge on the heating. We ate all of our meals outside, and with the sun going down early this time of year, the only thing we could have wished for is a little lighting in the covered porch. But, on the other hand, I'm sure that helped keep the mosquitos at bay. The beautiful, soft sandy beach was just a short walk away, and I'm not sure if it's a reflecting of the less busy season, but it never was crowded. All in all, really a great place to spend some time with family. Thank you, Allison!

We were so excited and happy to be at Folly Beach to celebrate our Granddaughters wedding. We have 17 Grandchildren and this was the first Wedding!
Firstly we called to see if we could get in a few hours earlier and Ms Atwell was accommodating. Then we arrived a day earlier from DE and was checking on other family members which were sprinkled around Folly Island time flew and I asked Ms Atwell if we could possible get in “now” and again she was amazing.
The photos do not cover all the details of southern hospitality this place offers! When we thought of something it was there. We had four adults and three children ages 5-20. It was perfect. When we return to Folly we will definitely book at 602 E Erie and 6th street, if the Atwell’s will have us. Sincere Thanks the Calomeris’s

The home is lovely. It was clean and well stocked. I especially loved that each bathroom had shampoo/conditioner & body wash. Plenty of spaces for everyone to spread out. TV's in every room is a plus. The bonus space with the pool table was fun! We loved having the Sonos speakers with music playing. And the POOL! It was really the best back/side yard. If you go in the Fall/Winter, splurge for heating the pool; you will not be disappointed. Would highly recommend this home!!

We truly couldn’t be happier with this property. It was beautifully decorated.. it was beyond clean… it was stocked with everything you could ever need, from phone chargers to beach towels. The host is beyond friendly. She responds very promptly, and she is always very nice. Unfortunately, we had to leave early because of hurricane Ian. We were totally bummed out that we didn’t get to enjoy this property for the full time we rented it for. However, we loved it so much that we will 100% be booking it again. The heated pool and outdoor area was such a huge hit with the kids. This is one of the nicest proprieties that we’ve stayed at. Honestly couldn’t give it a high enough rating!

We had a great stay in this home! Allison is very responsive to any questions when we needed assistance. The house is newly remodeled and well equipped as well as being comfortable! GREAT mattresses and pillows! We all slept so well! It is very well equipped, especially the kitchen, and we did cook. The kids room has so many fun toys for littles and ours loved it! The pool and outdoor space are amazing and one of the reasons we booked this home. We spent most of our time there and did go to the beach as well, which is a very short walk. We have stayed on Folly much closer to Center St in the past, but loved this area for how quiet it was. We loved it!!

The home is just as pictured. We had a group ranging in ages 2-83 and it was just perfect. This was booked many months ago and we checked the reviews each month to see if any subpar reviews came through and they never did. We’re in full agreement with all the 5 star ratings.

I cannot say enough positive things about this house and our entire experience! Great communication from the owner, the house was spotless, the pool looked like it belong in a Hollywood movie, and we had the greatest time! Our 6 year old son loved playing pool and became quite the pool shark during our stay :) We will definitely be back to visit, it was literally the perfect vacation! Thank y’all!

Our family of 4 thoroughly enjoyed this property! We were looking for a place with enough space to spread out with 2 teenagers plus a pool. This was perfect! It felt fresh, clean, friendly with lots of amenities. There were no bugs and barely any mosquitos. I was concerned with a pool there might be more but the owners must do a great job of treatment for bugs. This home is close to public access to the beach which is fantastic. The golf cart rental made it so easy to get around the island - well worth the additional cost. The outdoor space and pool was wonderful to entertain some of our local friends. We had a couple of comments shared with the owners and they are prompt and responsive. Overall our stay was exactly what we needed and expected!

This was a great property to stay at and definitely one of the nicer houses on the island. It’s completely updated and the pool is a definite plus! The golf cart rental was very worth it and it made it fun and easy to drive to the beach and around the town area.

Highly recommend the property. Had a few issues/questions and Allison was quick to respond with answers. Walking distance to the beach and enjoyed having the use of the golf cart to run around the island. We were fortunate to have an incredible week weather wise and would rent the property again if we were to go back to Folly Beach.
