This was the perfect place to stay with my wife! It was very close to Acadia and only a 20 minute drive to Bar Harbor. The Misty Mountain Retreat was very clean and quiet. Nicole had the perfect guide book for us to use for all of our outdoor adventures. Hiking is just around the corner and Seal Cove Beach is minutes down the road. We also loved driving to Gott’s for take out dinner and pizza. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway that is near all the sights- stay at this gem!

Stayed here for an anniversary trip to Acadia NP. House was very close by to the park and the owners had great information regarding areas closer to the house if you were interested in eating out, going swimming, and much more. Was equipped for everything we needed and was a cute little house for a getaway. Would definitely recommend this place!

We enjoyed our stay at the cottage for our time visiting Acadia NP. it was away from the hustle and bustle of the Bar Harbor tourism but still an acceptable distance to all destination points and trailheads we wished to explore. Even with the house on the property being in close proximity to the cottage and the shared driveway, we still felt secluded and had the privacy desired. All the necessities needed included and with fresh decor. A cute and simple place for a great stay.

This property has everything you need? Especially if you’re a couple. Can easily sleep 4 adults, but it would be tight. The owners were very responsive and have thought of everything. Even a milk frother for your coffee! Beds were comfortable. The ladder to the loft is very steep, but that’s what you get with a Loft! Place is perfect for crashing after a long day of hiking. Located near some cool parts of MDI too, that are much less busy than Bar Harbor

This cottage was a dream, and I can’t add much to what others have said—it looks like the pictures, exceeds expectations, is so well designed. My personal addition is that I have a Michigan Dutch mother and grandmother—iykyk!—and I think even they would pronounce this place spotless! Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!

We loved the place. Owners have really thought of everything. Really loved the shower. Great bakery down the road. Good location to everything Acadia.

We stayed for a long weekend and used Andrew & Nicole's property as a basecamp to return to after hiking as much of Acadia as we could fit into each day. They were respectful of our privacy but also super cool to talk to when we ran into one another. The house itself is minimal but functional and really shows how much care and attention was put into bringing it all together. Be aware the bed is lofted, so if you have difficulty with a ladder you may end up sleeping on the pull-out couch. I promise you won't regret staying here!

This was the perfect little get away for our anniversary! Just enough space to hang out after exploring all day! Great communication with host and very friendly!

We really enjoyed our stay for our hiking trip to Acadia. Great location near both the National Park, and only a short drive to Bar Harbor for great food and shopping options. The location of the stay is quiet and peaceful. It was well stocked with everything we needed.

My husband and I had a great stay! Super cozy place with everything one would need to feel at home. Extra perk, our 2 dogs were able to stay with us. About 20/30minutes from Acadia and Bar harbor, however there are some great hikes and sights within 10 min. Great place if you are looking for something out of all the hustle and bustle.

We had very nice stay. The home was extremely clean and considering it’s pet friendly you’d never be able to tell there were other animals there previously. The home has basically everything you could need. Linens, towels, cookware, dining ware, shampoo and soap, etc. Whether you bring a pet or not there are several areas for walking that are only a mile or so down the road. Not far from places to eat and explore. The hosts provide a binder with some great things to try too which I appreciated! Things to note - the driveway is shared, but we still felt very private. The home is on a busier road so you may hear some car traffic. If you have dog you might consider bringing a flashlight for night time bathroom trips as it gets dark outside. Overall couldn’t be happier. A clean, well kept place to stay are my biggest needs and the fact that it is equipped with so many necessities is just a huge added bonus. Thank you for such a wonderful stay!

Perfect little cottage for two of us and our pup. Cottage vary very clean and had everything you need for a short stay. Close enough to bar harbor (about 20-25min) and acadia. Wonderful host with a nice little book of places to visit. Would definitely stay again if we come back to this area!

Hosts thought of everything including fans, record player, books, jewelry box in the bedroom, and toiletries. We bought groceries and made meals in the cottage using the stove top, toaster oven, and grill. The loft was a fun feature. Our son enjoyed the pullout couch.

With the little guy recovering, we hit the road and had the very best time here. There are so many activities to do on the island, but we could have been perfectly happy staying here the whole time. The cabin was very nice. It had all the amenities we needed to enjoy our vacation. It’s a loft style house. Has a grill in the backyard.Can make bonfire.

The perfect homebase to explore Acadia. We had two adults and two kids (6 and 8) and our dog and everything about the house was perfect. Wouldn't change a thing. Thank you for assisting in providing us a magical school vacation week.

This cottage was perfect for our weekend getaway. It is a cleverly crafted tiny house with a comfortable loft and nice decor. We enjoyed playing the LPs on the turntable (great selection!). The hosts gave us marshmallow sticks, which we had forgotten to bring. We enjoyed a wonderful hike at the Beech Cliffs Trail near Echo Lake. It worked great for a short visit, but if we were staying longer, we might opt for a place with a larger kitchen for our family of four.
