Great experience. House is well updated and nicely kept. Owners are very attentive with great communication. Area is very safe and everything is a super short drive away. Williams bay is a great halfway point between Fontana and Lake Geneva so all within 10 minutes of one another! Would absolutely recommend this property and stay again in the future!

Home was clean and plenty of room to move around on main floor! Nice short walk to Williams Bay restaurants.

A very good location - could walk to many places in Williams Bay, which I really enjoyed. Lots of wonderful outdoor spaces to enjoy - front porch with ramp that was utilized fully by 2 toddler grandchildren. Very clean and kitchen is well stocked and updated. Biggest issue is only one bathroom upstairs that is only accessible by walking through a bedroom. Bathrooms also updated and nice. Rental could use some tables in living room, a couple more dressers and the deck could use some updates (deck floor and furniture). Yard was well maintained. Owner was quick to respond to questions. Overall, a very nice place to stay for a few days.

We came into town for a wedding and the location was great for that. There was a fenced in yard for the dog to run in. The house had everything we needed for the stay.

We only had a few days to get away and this location was perfect. We packed up the pooches, and drove a couple of hours for some fresh air, fishing, and supper club dining. Excellent property all the way around, beautifully redesigned and ample space for our family. Great communication with owner who was flexible when Vrbo was giving us some hiccups. highly recommend.

We really enjoyed our time at the Hideway at the Lake! Such a cozy, homey place which was perfect for our weekend away. And the best part was we got to enjoy the time with our dog. He loved going for walks while getting to see the wildlife as well. Mike was so responsive and you can see the hard work the put into updating it. Will definitely recommend it to others and stay here again.!

We booked the house to visit my Son and his family. They were building the glass Christmas tree at Yerkeys Observatory. We left Wyoming and got caught in a blizzard in South Dakota and were unable to make it to Williams bay to stay at the house. I contacted the homeowner about our situation and he was unwilling to credit our stay. I was able to get some of the glass tree crew to stay at the house in our place. So all worked out in the end.

This was our stay for our Christmas Tree Weekend and it was a great place for all of us. It is a cute place with lots of room to play and eat and sleep! Plenty of games and things on the shelves in case you don’t bring your own. It is an old property so don’t be surprised that it has some work that could be done. The only complaint is that other dog owners don’t pick up after their dogs! There was quite a bit of poop in the yard that was stepped in a few times. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay!

The house was as described. It was perfect for a large Thanksgiving family dinner. The fenced in backyard was a real plus for our puppy.

This home was so beautiful, my family and i had a great time here. The owners were really nice and quick to reply to us, would definitely recommend this beautiful home. We will be returning for future trips.

Bathroom situation upstairs did not clarify that the only bathroom was in the master and you have to go through the master to enter the bathroom.

The house is charming, the neighborhood is nice, and I met the owner in person. He was very nice as well, or so I thought. My mother is a senior citizen and a smoker. We do not let her smoke in our house whatsoever, and she did not smoke here either. No way possible. And yet, as we left and their cleaner showed up (another man who greeted me with handshakes and smiles) my mother was outside smoking, put it out entirely, then walked inside the house to get our last bags as we left the property. Not 15 minutes on the road later I get a text that there was smoking in the house and I would be assessed a $250 fee. Even though I explained the misunderstanding, the owner simply said "I don't want to argue with you" and asked me how I preferred to make the payment. There was no discussing the matter regardless of how unfair it was and how I explained the misunderstanding. I could have made a huge deal about so many things. The dishwasher being gross so we didn't use it, the beer cans in the garbage full outside left unpicked up, or the numerous loose nails on the floorboards in the living room that scratched my kids hands and ripper their pajamas. I did not. I wanted to keep a good relationship with the owner and build on it over some years but this false claim was absolutely unfair and infuriating. We even had a HUGE wasp which lead to a lamp post breaking as we tried to swat it, I was forthcoming and apologetic. I wanted a good relationship here. He lowered the price in an attempt to be fair but I still paid $100 for absolutely nothing. Simply because his cleaner decided to run up the bill on him. I told him if I paid it I would leave a very honest review, and I did. He mentioned leaving a review for me as well but I can get a new service, he cannot get a new house. Maybe he should learn about treating people fairly instead of making money off of any and all false claims.

The house was ok. The proximity to the lake was great. The gas station on the right and the neighbor with junky cars just outside our window was not preferred. The bigger than golf ball size black walnuts falling from the trees lining the driveway were hazardous to humans pets and cars. The full load of dirty dishes in the portable dishwasher was quite unpleasant. The kitchen was sparsely stocked for anyone that wants to cook or bake. This house did not work great for our family.

The house was very clean and a good location for Williams Bay. A 10-15 minute drive to Lake Geneva. The house is located a half block off the main street and a few blocks from the public beach. Quiet neighborhood despite being next door to a gas station. If we were to stay in Williams Bay we would stay there again,

Short weekend but this is a great locstion near the little ice creme shop and coffee shop! A few minutes from thw marina made it easy to get out on the lake for a day too! Woukd loce to stay again in future summers!

We had a relaxing family weekend! Our kids loved riding their bikes up and down the ramps on the front porch and on the large driveway. The front porch was such a peaceful place to sit and hang out! There was plenty of space for our family of 6 to spread out. My only negative was the stairs being a little steep and not super toddler friendly so that might be something to consider if that is a concern. But otherwise, we loved the location and definitely hit up all the ice cream places with in walking distance as well as the restaurants and park! Definitely would recommend!

We had a great experience with our family, including 3 young granddaughters. They enjoyed the beach and the ice cream shops. We all had a great time.
