This house was clean and neat. We had everything we needed and enjoyed the hot tub as well as the covered deck. Our host was always available by text message when we needed her and very accommodating. We had no problems the neighborhood was quiet we felt safe and didn’t wore about our boat sitting there where were not using it. Would definitely recommend this rental. Upon arrival we immediately smelled stale, musty and mildew in the air. Living room rug has a huge dirty stain on it, exposed electrical wires hanging out of the wall above the microwave. Saw vents were dark with dust and mold, ac filter was dark gray. Hood above stove was covered in greasy dust.Contacted VRBO immediately and the owner called us back and said she does the cleaning but lives in Ga, no local caretaker available to remedy the problems. Said we could leave and begged us not to write a review. We were tired from the 8 hr drive and the town was hosting a big festival so we found lodging very limited. My husband said he would clean up the mess and change the filter. Owner stated she would compensate us for doing this. We stayed our booked time but avoided the house other than to sleep. Notified the owner as requested when we left ahead of checkout time. Requested 2 days taken off our bill. Felt like that covered the inconvenience of my husbands cleaning up their mess and me having to take allergy pills to stay there. The owner stated in a text message that we were trying to extort her for money off our stay and stated she was blocking me from further conversation. We are frequent VRBO customers and have never had an experience like this before. I have numerous photos to backup my complaints. Also text message. Please help us with this request and remove this listing so others don’t come to vacation in a mess like we encountered.

Easy to find right in town.Best part is the hot tub and back yard. Nice little bedrooms with comfy beds feels like home. Host are super quick with responding and had everything we needed for our stay.

The Snapper Shack is a great place to stay. Clean, all the amenities we needed, and in a great area. Carrabelle and the forgotten coast are absolutely beautiful. Not a chain restaurant in sight, incredibly friendly people, and outdoor activities abound. Plenty of places to fish from the beach, great food, and in our adventures from Bald Point state park to St. George Island I don't think we were ever more than a mile from the ocean.

Amidst the threat of a hurricane potentially heading towards Carrabelle, the stay at the Snapper Shack was wonderful. Very cute little bungalow within walking distance of all our favorite places. would stay here again. Thank goodness the hurricane took a turn and missed us completely.

This place is perfect for a few buddies fishing for a few days. Location and space is great. Linda is very easy to deal with. Will definitely be booking again.

Hot tub is a nice touch for relaxing after a day exploring. Yard was perfect, from the privacy fence to the fire pit. House and property very clean. Nice covered deck by the hot tub in the back and a large screened in front porch. Convenient area to explore from Port St Joe to Panacea. Several state and city parks with beach access. Fishing opportunities galore. Really loved that there are no high rise condos on the beaches. We could actually see the stars at night due to the lack of light pollution. Quiet little town full of friendly folks. I would give more stars for this property, hosts and location if I had options for more than 5 stars. I will definitely look up the Snapper Shack again on my next visit to the Forgotten Coast.

We needed somewhere close to where we tied up our boat and this place was perfect.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Snapper Shack. We hung out on the covered back porch the majority of our stay when we weren’t on the beach. It was just big enough to accommodate our bunch and had most everything we needed for our stay. Thanks so much for having us.

We really enjoyed our stay. The backyard was perfect for our dog to burn some energy. The neighborhood was not nearly as rough as others reviews has let on. The hot tub was nice and the close proximity to the beach was great. If you bring your pets, just keep an eye where they walk in the backyard. The backyard is sandy and It appeared someone had burried a broken glass bottle and other glass in the sand. My dog did not step on it though, so no big deal. We would love to return to this house and general area.

We didn’t use the outdoor shower but the hot tub and the indoor bathroom facilities worked great. The kitchen was fully equipped. Very nicely located to everything in Carrabelle. Would stay again at this location. Have already referred others to this location.

Overall had a nice stay here. Carrabelle has a lot to offer and it was a fun vacation.

We enjoyed our stay at the Sapper Shack. It was conveniently located to explore the area. The house was clean and comfortable. It was nice having the covered deck and hot tub. Neighborhood appeared questionable but it was quiet and hardly ever saw anyone. I'd consider staying here again if visiting the area.
