The hosts were incredibly kind and helpful, offering plenty of recommendations for restaurants and local attractions and tips for getting around. Check-in and check-out were very simple. The property was just a few minutes drive from the heart of Bangor. A wonderful place, would stay here again!

Carol was very attentive, the room was beautiful and had more than we could need. The property is located within walking distance of downtown and is very easily accessible. 11/10

My wife and I stayed here for a week and it was the best!!! I can’t say enough about the hosts and their dog. They helped us find places to visit and suggested local restaurants. The loft was private, quiet, and in a great location to all things Maine.

We had a great experience with our 2 week stay at Lofty Digs. Carol and John were great and I’d highly recommend their apartment in Bangor. We will be back.

I was just amazed at the thought and effort Carol put into every aspect of your stay, from the cleanliness, basic necessities, decor, down to the slippers on the floor. They need to consider putting skid-proof treads on their steps. My wife slipped, fell, and had to go to emergency for x-rays. Because of the wood grain, it’s hard to distinguish where one step ends and another begins.

Wonderful studio with kitchenette and comfortable, clean living area with lots of room. The location is awesome - close to EVERYTHING you would need in Bangor. I would stay here again - no doubt. Definitely a 5 star location and owners (Carol/John) are extremely nice and make the rental process easy.

Every detail is considered--high quality cookware and small-space but functional appliances, comfortable bed and sitting area, terrific shower, high quality linens, and coffee with cream! The hosts were responsive and accommodating. Great space for one or two people. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Love this place! Great location and Carol couldn't have been friendlier or easier to work with! Beautiful historic home and amazing neighborhood. The insurance deposit probably should have been listed before the end of the booking process but with such a beautiful home we understood. Thanks for all of your help and kindness during our stay. Marge is cool too!

Carol is an excellent hostess and the property was everything we had hoped for. It is perfect for couples. If we ever go back to Bangor, we'd love to stay there again!!

Carol was a good communicator. Well stocked with condiments, toiletries pots and pans. Very comfortable mattress and plenty of hot water. Nice vegetable and flower garden view from 2 person balcony. If back this way would rent again.

Carol and John are delightful hosts who obviously take great pride in their rental. The bed was incredibly comfortable. Every aspect of this space was designed with care for your comfort. My husband and I were there in Bangor for a long weekend to take in a water front concert which was only a short 10 minute walk from the studio. Perfect location! We also used it as a jumping off place to head into bar harbor/Acadia national park (about an hour drive). The room was great, clean and well thought out. You can walk to Stephen Kings home and walk downtown.. felt very safe. Drove to Acadia park several days, not a bad drive. Stay here!! You’ll love it!!

Really well kept and new place. Carol was very personable and made sure we felt comfortable. I would highly recommend this place as an alternate option if you planning to visit Bar Harbor as it is an hour away from the park which the drive isn’t bad at all we did it for three days and totally worth it as you will avoid big tourist crowds. There is everything you will need right around the corner.

June 14-20 2021 My husband and I just came back from a lovely stay in Bangor. The apartment was very conveniently located but still off on a very quiet street. I am a huge Stephen King fan so it was nice being only 2 blocks down from his house and took some nice fan photos. The apartment was so cozy and the bed comfortably firm. The shower was excellent with adjustable sprays and fantastic water pressure and fluffy absorbent towels. The french press made a delicious cup of coffee and there was also a nice assortment of teabags available if you're not a coffee drinker. We had a very enjoyable stay!!

Aside from a quiet neighborhood and perfect hosts, the space itself was comfortable and clean as promised. The bed was very comfortable and every amenity we needed was available. We had never used a French press ourselves, so we watched a Youtube video to learn how and had excellent coffee. In fact, we came home and purchased a new stainless French press just like the one provided. :) We will definitely plan to stay here again if we return to Bangor again.

This loft was nice and quiet. Very clean and the owners were great. Very quick to respond to messages. Although we didn’t find much to do in Bangor, we stayed here to mainly hangout in Bar Harbor and at Acadia National Park. It’s a little bit of a drive but we made it work.

Carol and her husband have outdone themselves on this property. It’s beautiful, well maintained, perfectly decorated, and super comfy. It’s within walking distance to so much and so quiet naps are a must. We will be back.
