Beautiful area, peaceful and quiet, wonderful get away from the city

We enjoyed our stay here. The cabin is extremely clean and came with all the needed amenities. The back patio is very nice and the grill is fairly new. Being only a fifteen minute drive to Garner state park made it very convenient. We would definitely stay here again.

My family had a great time at the cabin. I loved having morning coffee on the back porch and also loved ending the nights, in the front, looking at all the stars. Day #1, we went to Utopia Park, which is a super close nice park with easy access to the Sabinal. Day #2 we went to Garner State Park. For dinner we went to Lost Maples Cafe and had chicken fried steak which was delicious. The second night for dinner we bbq’ed out front. My husband loved the pit, actually wants to order one for our house! 😂 on our way out we stopped at Postal Brews, had a scone and a great Americano. Everyone was super friendly, at the park, the restaurants, and the host was great! I would also like to add we did not see a scorpion during our stay. The two Goldens and the cat were all welcomed guest! Would 100% recommend!

This was ideal for us to make ax meal or two in and sleep. We spent our time at local parks during the day so ut was perfect to come back to a clean, no ruffles, adequate space- that was pet friendly.

For some reason we thought it will be further from road and other houses. Had 2 golden retrievers and a black cat to joined us for whole time we been there. Interior is nice, owners communicate fast

Had most of everything needed besides food and personal items. We LOVED the golden retrievers that visited and there’s a beautiful cat that hangs out on the porch. The deck was nice and we spent most of our time there looking out into the back woods at the deer. There are looming coyotes for those that bring pets. The cabin was great. The rooms stay a bit warm but we left the doors open. Scorpions come inside during rain but host said they would call pest control again. Overall, it was an enjoyable visit. The host doesn’t bother much and answers messages quickly.

As previous reviewers mentioned, you can hear sounds perfectly between bedrooms, so if you need any privacy—this may not be the ideal place. The review right before us mentioned pests—but the owners reassured us that they had since sprayed and we didn’t have any issues. Just know that you will want to bring basics like soap, shampoo, hair dryer, etc. Our family really enjoyed the back porch, fire pit, and nice dogs that came by to say hello. We really enjoyed it and would recommend!

Do not recommend this property... Not enough kitchen utensils, no dishwasher, no ice maker, not enough bathroom towels, bedding did not appear clean and smelled musty, my biggest concern were SCORPIONS, one was crawling on my son as he was sitting on floor, another fell from ceiling in the bedroom, neighborhood dogs that hung around for hours looking for food/water. We will not be back.

This is a cute, quaint little cabin. It has beautiful pine walls and a new looking aluminum roof. The bathroom has a nice, new vanity and tub/shower. They provide lots of bath towels, but need more hooks for them. Kitchen has what seem to be someone's odd collection of leftover dishes, but they did the job. The furniture could use updating. It seems as if it also someone's old furniture. Some of it is cute and vintage though. The bed, particularly in one room creaks sooo loud every time you move, but was comfortable enough. It has a lovely back deck that appears to be pretty new. We really enjoyed sitting out there. Our main issue with the is place is that we were looking for a house where we could all have separate sleeping areas so we could be rested and get a good night's sleep. Beware that there are no ceilings in the bedrooms, just the aluminum roof overhead. It appears from the pictures that they are regular bedrooms, but they are open at the top so you can see light coming in from the other rooms and hear EVERYTHING in the house. It's like staying in a hotel room. There's a wall air conditioner in the living room. The air travels through the openings above the rooms so if you sleep with the doors closed, it's cold in the living room and warm in the bedrooms. This bedroom situation was not ideal at all for us, but for people who don't mind the cabin feel of all sleeping together, you may love it. Overall it's very nice. It's a little difficult to find. It could use a more noticeable sign on the road. You do have neighbors diagonal to you with very friendly Golden Retrievers who will greet you. Very cute little cabin.

The cabin is beautiful and cozy! Kitchen is fully stocked with dishes,pots,pans,spatula,utensils everything needed to cook up a big meal if you need to! Has a good fire pit in the back,the kids loved the woods area,the dog had a blast too! I would totally go again and reccomend this place for a nice get away!
