The Afallon Townhouse is an 11/10 place to stay! The room was nothing short of BEAUTIFUL - Beautifully decorated, with an en-suite (including sustainable, re-fillable and vegan products) and thoughtful additions such as some snacks, a wide choice of tea and a coffee machine (including pods). The Hosts are brilliant, and greet you at check-in. They are incredibly thoughtful, and asked our pillow preference and whether we’d be requiring a desk in the room. The Guest Information gives recommendations for the local area - we used their recommendation for dinner and breakfast (both were spot on!) I’m currently finding an excuse for another holiday in North Wales just so I can stay here again!

Beautiful location, peaceful. Room was spotless and beautifully decorated, very tasteful. Great value for money.

Liked the quiet, the aspect, the situation in town, the decor. Books with local info were interesting. Hosts communicated well before we arrived. There was information about places to eat etc.

It would have been improved by a bit more face to face interaction with the hosts - it felt very impersonal. Breakfast would have been nice... We were asked about choice of pillows & still/sparkling water, but I don't think we got what we asked for! Please consider hooks or shelves or even a chair in the bathroom for clothes, sponge bags etc. We wanted more warmth but couldn't work out how to heat the bathroom.

The room was beautiful. Bed was so so comfy. The little extras like specialist teas and coffee pods were great. Dressing gowns and snacks were very great. Absolutely loved it.

All windows nailed shut. Even in bathroom and no extraction fan. So did feel a little stuffy. I like to have a window open even in winter. Nowhere to put your things in the bathroom while getting ready. I had to balance my makeup bag on top of toilet. A little shelf would be so handy. The hanging space isn't very practical

This was a "room only" property. Our host, Ian, was very helpful with suggestions for where breakfast could be had in town and indeed there were plenty of choices offering great start to the day breakfasts. And so the day started with no worries, no hassle and went smoothly into excellent all round.

You can't check in until 6pm and you must check out by 10am. No problem if staying for a few nights but as I stayed only one night I would have appreciated the residency period being slight; longer. Ideal allowing for an earlier check in. As it is bed only and no breakfast that wouldn't seem to be too much of a stretch.

Bathroom needed shelf for small toiletries. Darkness of decor in bedroom - although attempting to keep atmosphere of old property it would be nicer to have a brighter wall colour Parking outside accommodation very limited and occasionally you may have to park some distance away(this is a problem in Dolgellau in general though)

The decor was absolutely fantastic it was spotlessly clean very friendly staff beautiful town I would highly recommend a stay here we would if stayed here for the whole week if it was available maybe the best place we have ever stayed we were so impressed by everything

The location was excellent, I was able to park my car right outside the property, which was a bonus.

There was nothing that we didn’t like about our stay.

Owner made the stay special for my boyfriends birthday, really appreciated it! The room was super clean, well decorated, and really comfortable. Loved sitting at the table near the window watching the world go by. All information needed about place/places to eat in a book put together by owners. Would love to stay here again! Thanks

Such a great house in a very quiet little square. Room was very comfortable with a very comfy bed and top quality linen and thick, fluffy towels in various sizes. Snacks and plenty of tea and coffee with fresh milk provided every day in a flask bottle to keep it cold. Come and go as you please with minimal fuss with front door key and room key to be completely independent. Great tv with Netflix etc

I’m sure it’s down to health and safety but if the windows could open a little more, given I was there in a mini heatwave it would have helped but thank goodness for a giant standing fan ! Also, lovely little seating area but chairs were a little too formal for a relaxing sit down.
