At the last minute on a Saturday we decided to see if we could find a South Padre rental that a) had a private pool, b) allowed three not-small dogs, and c) was on or very close to the beach.
This property fit the bill very nicely! The pool isn't large but it was very nice, and so refreshing after the beach. There's also an outdoor shower/rinse station to get de-sandy before jumping it the pool.
The beach is like a block away, an easy walk. We had great weather and surf for boogie-boarding.
We brought our three dogs and the loved it as well.
There was lots of room, nice kitchen with good tools and eating ware. Good internet and TVs as well.
Right next door is a great taqueria, with another just across the street, both delicious. One store fiwn is a GREAT surf/beach shop that we were in every day.
Overall we loved our trip, and the host was very communicative and helpful!

Property was clean, check in process was seamless, Peggy could not of been anymore attentive to answer questions. The tent was missing and she had one delivered the very next morning. Can’t wait until next summer to return!

This property was nice and conveniently close to the beach but the property management could put a little bit more TLC into the place and the amenities to make it a little bit more comfortable for guests. A little maintenance on ceiling, fans and door knobs, etc. is needed. And simple things like having cooking oil, salt and paper towels and nicer 2 ply toilet paper, and board games for guests would be nice. Also silverware that doesn’t bend or fall apart and knives that are broken would all make the stay a little bit nicer. Basically it felt like they stocked the house with as little as they could and as cheap of items as they could get away with. Shade options at the pool would be nice too

Great place, close to a lot of things. Pool looked dirty and their shower up stairs was still dirty.

We loved all the room and the setup in each bedrooms. The bed was comfy and close to alot of things for walking and restaurants and shopping. Only thing we were disappointed was the pool wasnt heated..loved our stay and would come back!

Took us about 5 minutes to wander down to the beach with two old, slow, English bulldogs. The house is so spacious and clean! The backyard pool is beautiful, and we enjoyed watching movies on the huge living room tv every evening. Breakfast at the Mexican restaurant right next door was stellar, and they have a little import store right there in the restaurant. (Restaurant closes at 3, so no noise from there in the evening!) Rent this house, you'll love it!!

House was clean and kitchen well-stocked. All pictures in house were taken down or removed but all hooks and nails still there which was a little odd. Kind of eery…
Pool is only about 4’ deep with no chiller so water stays really warm, especially in the afternoon. Not refreshing at all on hot days…
Overall, the stay was good, though.

We really enjoyed our stay at the property. The location was great, we were only a 5 min walk to the beach. The house was clean and well stocked with hand soap and towels. My son loved the pool, so our next home will definitely have one.

Overall the property was in good condition, the weather was fantastic and the walk to the beach was more like 10 minutes but if you run you might make it in 2 minutes, lol. Unfortunately the refrigerator which had a Non- working digital control panel was very slow to cool so we had to put our perishable items in the freezer. The trash disposal was also non functional which caused the sink to back up, and to make matters worse the shower head in the first floor bathroom broke right off which makes me think the previous renters just did a quick patched-up work. Honestly other than that, our family had a great time enjoying spending time together. the swimming pool was small but fun and the gas grill was dirty with leftovers from the previous renters. Having a great vacation is mostly what you make of it. It would've been nice to be compensated some how for the shortcomings of this property, but Se' La Vi...

We really enjoyed our stay at the property. The location was great, we were only a 5 min walk to the beach. The house was clean and well stocked with hand soap and towels. My son loved the pool, so our next home will definitely have one.
