De retour de votre escapade, regagnez votre petit nid pour les vacances afin de vous détendre grâce à un jardin, à une terrasse privée où déguster un savoureux cocktail ou encore à du mobilier d'extérieur. Une fois rentré de vos explorations, profitez des joies de l'intérieur : Wi-Fi et télévision.

This charming house is right on the beach. You can see and hear the ocean from the bedrooms. The back enclosed porch is lovely to sit, read, and watch the beach. We saw the usual beach birds and a bald eagle. The kitchen is well-stocked; the dining room easily seats six. The smart TV had everything we wanted to watch. The owner is very responsive and helpful. We look forward to returning in the summer!

The house was charming and comfortable. The sandy backyard and private path to the beach was terrific - our young Cavapoo LOVED it too!! We spent a good amount of time in the delightfully warm glass-door sunroom which also has a nice view of the ocean. The location was great - close to various types of restaurants and thrift stores. The owners were very responsive to house questions and addressing any immediate needs in a timely and pleasant manner. Thank you Katrina and Adrien for being great hosts!

We really enjoyed our stay! We walked out to the beach every day despite the cold, and the dogs loved the freedom. The location is close to everything without being in the thick of traffic. The only thing we didn’t enjoy was the construction happening next door. The workers were loud and we could hear everything they were doing and saying. The landscaping could also use some tending to, but with it being winter we didn’t utilize the backyard much. We hope to stay again!

The host made this a very easy stay! Cute and clean beach cottage, perfect for a young family. Road was not too busy out front, felt safe in the back. Neighbors were friendly.

We had a wonderful time! We loved hanging out in the sun room, looking over the sandy backyard and beach, and we loved the direct access to the beach. We saw so many dolphins. We had never seen so many at once! It was amazing. Thank you!!

Our second visit to the cottage and we loved it this time as much as the first. Our children , furry and human, love the beach walks, fire pits and just hanging around. A perfect weekend.

The inside of the home is nicely updated. The rooms are spacious and comfortable with nice views of the beach from the bedrooms. We were quite disappointed with the outside of the home. The landscaping (weeds), in the front overtake the sidewalks and made the property feel a bit unsafe and unwelcoming. The backyard is also in need of much attention. Metal furniture is rusted and plastic furniture is cracked. The beach umbrella and beach chairs were rusted and/or broken making our time on the beach less than perfect. In full disclosure, I didn’t bring these things to the owners attention while we were there for two reasons. First, it is a beach house and the outdoor space should be priority for the host. Secondly,I don’t like to have to complain to get results I’m sure she would’ve been attentive, as she lives nearby.
Overall, a lovely home. It just needs more attention from the host.

We visited over the weekend because we were in town for a concert but wanted a mini vacation. The home feels like a home! Clean, organized, all the amenities that are needed and then some. Beautiful views of the bay where you can watch ships, the calm waves, and even some dolphins putting on a show. Everything you need is within a short driving distance (stores, gas, coffee, etc.)
We made use of the kayaks; my son and I went on a father-son excursion for a bit and I taught my twins how to kayak. It was all I had to do to get the buy-in I needed to get some for the lakes around our home. Thanks to Katrina for reaching out and making sure we were comfortable and taken care of.

We really enjoyed our stay! It was our first time taking our dog to the beach, and it was so nice that the beach was nearly empty every day - it really was like having our own private beach. There was plenty of room for the 5 of us and the dog, it was very clean and comfortable, and the owners were very responsive when we had some issues getting the key on the first day. There was a nearby playground within walking distance for the kids. We would definitely stay here again!

I will never book anywhere but VBRO from now on. It was a night and day difference from other booking sites. Even the conversations with the host were absolutely wonderful. Beautiful home, reasonably priced, and right on the beach. It was so nice to just come to the house, walk out to the beach and just let go and shut off the brain for a bit. I’ve done so much paperwork and planning in the couple weeks. I found this place, booked, and paid in under ten minutes. I didn’t have to reach out for any information through the entire process, the host kept on top of everything. The home was inviting and clean - even for my high standards. The views were worth every penny and more. The fresh flowers and plants really were the perfect touch. Just a wonderful restful, peaceful trip experience, even if the reason for the trip was not so nice.

We had a lovely time despite some grey skies during our trip. We felt like we were on a private beach because the clouds had scared everyone away! The beach wasn't crowded during any of our time there and the walk between the house and beach was short enough we didn't have to take too much with us because we could just go back and get what we wanted. The house had everything we needed. The beds were super comfy and I hope to go back next summer!

Kat was a GREAT host! We met 2 other couples to enjoy a small reunion, the house accommodated everyone's needs! It was very comfortable, very clean and well stocked. The 30 second walk to the beach was enjoyable. Would stay at this house again. Thanks Kat for a great vacation to Virginia Beach!

The cottage lived up to expectations and more. The interior decor perfectly framed the lovely view of the water which was idyllic. And a huge kudo for comfy bed linens! We look forward to visiting in the future when the weather warms up.

The property photos and description are extremely accurate. We took a quick family trip to celebrate for the New Year and enjoyed the beach views in December! The property was in a secluded part of the city, and a newfound treasure for us. It was clean and the owner was extremely responsive. We enjoyed our time and hope to return for a full week when the weather warms up to enjoy the walking distance to the beach.

Katrina is a great host. Responsive to questions and needs. She had a full gas tank delivered for the grill immediately upon request. House is the most fully stocked of any we have ever stayed. Tons of towels and kitchen staples. Only side door of sunroom opens, so gets stuffy. Location to beach can't be beat. Our grandson had the best time! Upstairs bathroom shower needs work but all in all a very positive experience!

Beautiful views on the beach. Easy check in process and such but the house and back yard were not quite 5 star. Vents and fans were really dirty and we couldn’t find washcloths in the home. Backyard was cluttered and messy feeling. Beach chairs were dirty and rusting. Overall, it was fine. Having stayed at several other properties on this trip, this one wasn’t as clean as the others….my daughters loved the sandy back yard and it was an easy and relaxing few days at the beach.

The house was exactly as it stated in the picture. The beach was lovely to have and the view from the house to the beach was very nice. The homeowner was quite attentive as well. All in all a very relaxing home to recharge.

This house was perfect for our yearly girls trip. The pictures don't do it justice. Well stocked and everything you might need. Beds were super comfy and the view from the bedrooms couldn't be beat. The stepping stones in the backyard were a life saver as that sand gets HOT! Heed Kat's advice about the driveway. Back in and you'll have no issues. Communication was SUPER fast and when we had a problem with the lockbox, someone arrived within 5 minutes to help us out. Would highly recommend.

A hidden gem in Norfolk
This cottage was the perfect place to enjoy our long weekend to celebrate a college graduation. The house is so charming and the furnishings just added that welcoming and cozy touch. We had so much fun making all kinds of coffee drinks with the espresso maker and using the herbs from their outdoor garden in our meals. The walk to the private beach is not far from the cottage and it is clean and quiet. We enjoyed the enclosed back patio, which became the perfect spot for puzzles on a rainy day.
Katrina is AMAZING with her communications! Listen to her recommendation about backing your car into the driveway!

Can’t wait to stay here again
All the other reviews are accurate when they mention this place has everything you need. We brought beach towels, chairs and a beach umbrella and found the house already had all of these items! Kat was very quick to respond and very accommodating. Best experience I’ve had by far. My only regret is that we didn’t stay longer.

Magical!
This is the absolute sweetest, most magical home. The house itself was clean and stocked with any and every thing you could need. The back yard is a dream (I could spend hours just sitting out there in the hammock!). The private walk out to the bay is so convenient, and perfect for kids. I couldn’t recommend this house more. 100% five stars!!!

A great cottage on the beach
A wonderful place in Norfolk directly on an uncrowded beach. Comfortable and clean. Kitchen has everything you’d need, even an espresso machine. Had fun watching the naval vessels and cargo ships. Even saw dolphins swimming by in the evenings. Good location which seems to be between downtown Norfolk and Virginia Beach. Host was very responsive; not that there was ever anything wrong (general questions etc). Would definitely stay again.

Beautiful property
Three friends, my dog, and I stayed for a weekend and we already can’t wait to go back. The house is in a great location, had plenty of space, and the communication with our host was great. We are all looking forward to returning.

Just about Perfect!
A group of best friends decided to sneak away for a few days at the beach... wonderful house, quiet almost private beach, beautiful landscape, and so many laughs and lasting memories.
