This home was warm, welcoming, and so peaceful. The area surrounding the property was perfect with the firepit and woods for our older kids to explore. The owners ensured that the stay was perfect, including recommending several cool activities such as exploring Warren Falls. Highly recommend this home.

Pros- We enjoyed the quiet of the house and backyard. We were traveling with pets and it was nice to have a place that allowed us to have them. The rental management company was helpful, friendly and quick to respond to messages.
Cons - Living room couch was uncomfortable as the leather cushions slipped easily and it was hard to sit on. Bed was VERY soft and upon removing sheets at check out could see the mattress pad was dirty. Bathroom shower curtain was dirty and no bar of soap was available. The kitchen pots/pans were old and stained and there was only a 2inch kitchen sponge to clean them with. I didn't feel like the host maintained/cleaned efficiently enough. The comfort items we are used to in a place were lacking.
Not a pro or con, but also to be aware the bedrooms are upstairs and the stairs are very steep. I know this is common for the older homes, but for some it might be a concern.
Overall, it was a good place but I'm not sure it was a good fit for us.

House was in a great location and spotless. Downstairs (kitchen, dining area, TV living room were wonderful. Only negatives were the mattress in master bedroom was way too soft (couldn't sleep there) and there were no bureaus in the other bedroom. Both are relatively easy fixes if the owners so choose.

Though not quite central to all the places we wanted to visit when we choose it, the location was better than we thought. All the drives to where we wanted to go were perfect for the convertible. The house was a comfortable stay up off 100 though road noise was still audible.

I had such a wonderful. peaceful stay! The house was very clean and simple, all I needed for a lovely little getaway with my dog. The woods out back were a magical fairy land! Definitely would return:)

Three of us booked this house for a three night stay and we fell in love with the property. Excellent location if you’re looking for things to do outside in any weather, and if you don’t mind a drive to some of the further towns like Burlington, you’ll find there’s never a shortage of restaurants, sights, and shops.
Colin was very communicative and prompt, an excellent host- I would recommend this rental to anyone who loves the mountains, peace and quiet.

It was just me. It was wonderful to come home after a full day on the mountain to the very simple but comfortable place tucked into the woods. I brought my food from the Warren store and enjoyed the solitude and the very easy proximity to Sugarbush.

Cabin was adequate, clean, and fully functional. Security on the house was good, WiFi worked seamless. New TV's are always a challenge, but worked well. Min bed was just OK, mattress was very soft. heat up and down very good. Access to area around the cabin a=was great for us and the dogs. We liked the seclusion of the property, with the woods all around. Access to Sugarbush was good from the cabin, and Waitsville and Warren provided all the needed stores, restaurants. The shower was very hard to adjust for water temp and the tub drain was slow. All in all very enjoyable vacation. Mad River mgmt., provided all needed information in timely fashion.

Great little pet-friendly spot, just off Rt 100 - yet you feel like you're in the middle of the woods. Smack dab between Blueberry Lake and the Warren Store, with easy access to Sugarbush & MRG. We hope to return!

Cell service was a little tricky but I think that is true for that area everywhere.

Perfect spot for our family of four to stay. Great proximity to Sugarbush for our ski weekend and the house had everything needed to make the stay as close to home as possible!

Very nice place, equipped well, clean, calm and cozy. The only thing the heat takes time until it warms up especially the bedrooms and when you have kids. Otherwise everything was great

What we expected for the price , nice location. Property managers helped us with issue with TV at arrival, responded in 15 minutes. Overall enjoyed our stay!!

It was a very peaceful, quiet cabin 0n the lovely scenic Route 100.
Close to many things we planned on doing: visiting towns, hiking near falls, going to American Fly Fishing Museum, scenic drives like Lincoln Gap, etc. We used the fire pit only once during our stay because we had some rainy evening, but it was nice to cook hot dogs on. Very pleasant!

Happy summer trip to Vermont
My family had a great time in the house. The house was wonderful! The only thing I missed was that there was no air conditioning, not a major deal but the upstairs was slightly hot. It was listed so that’s my fault. Great quiet location!

Vermont Getaway
The Fiddlehead House was perfect for our weekend. We came for a Century ride and enjoyed being close to Warren Falls, Warren General Store and Waitsfield. We were able to pick up our favorite Heady Topper beer at the local mart after the ride. The house was surrounded by forest but so close to everything in town. The rooms were comfortable and nicely decorated. The kitchen was set up perfectly for cooking or going out. The living room had oversized chairs and a leather couch for lounging later in the day. The outside seating was nice to have that option.

My stay was wonderful at this Veteran and pet friendly property. The check it was effortless. The house was clean, spacious, filled with natural light a great view and connection with nature in the back yard with the fire pit . It was the perfect quiet getaway. There were local restaurants where you could eat and drink with friendly locals. No matter which direction you drove, the view was like a beautiful postcard. I loved this place and so did my little doggy Sampson. I plan to return to this location in the future. This was owner was friendly, kind and cares about his property and customers. 5 Stars all the way*****!!!

Great property. Very quiet and private even with guest at the other house. Close to everything we wanted to see. Just a short distance to Warren Falls. An absolutely wonderful place to go for the day to cool off and relax. Would definitely stay again !!!
