This place is absolutely perfect for families. A wonderful host met us on arrival and explained everything. Large front garden with plenty of space to park, and a private entrance and garden area secluded away from the main house. The house had everything we needed for a family - travel cot, fully kitted kitchen, etc. The house was immaculately cleaned, lots of spare towels, sheets, etc. Beds and bedding were incredibly comfortable too.
Location is a great base for exploring Kilrush, Kilkee, Doonbeg, and the surrounding areas.

Everything. Check in was easy and our host was superb. Great place as described. Recommend for families or groups of couples as each room has an ensuite.

It was our second time staying here, we were a family group staying in all 3 rooms. You will not be disappointed if you stay here. Great location, very quiet, very friendly and helpful host, very clean and so welcoming. Really hope we will be back for a third visit soon.

Ethne was an amazing host, genuinely lovely lady. The apartment is immaculately clean, it has absolutely everything you could possibly need - washing machine, oven, microwave, dishwasher. The beds are the most comfortable I've ever slept in. It's easy to find, excellent location, no noise at night. Better than any 4* hotel I've ever stayed in, couldn't recommend it highly enough.
Having worked in hotels for 13 years, I always look for faults but couldn't find any with Hillcrest. It's lovely.

What a lovely home! Very clean and comfortable. Plenty of space for our family of 5. It was great to have separate bathrooms for each room. The hosts were lovely. Very peaceful and private at all times. Highly recommend.
Not a great selection of places to eat in Kilrush itself but the host Eithne gave us plenty of recommendations for where to go.

Good location for visiting surrounding area. Fabulous scenery and breathtaking views nearby.
Very few restaurants nearby, mostly pub food. Need a car if you are looking for a nice place to eat. Taxi are impossible to get.

Exceptionally clean, beautifully landscaped, fantastic price and the fact you can rent for 2 nights. The size of the accommodation is surprising, 2 floors, easily sleeps 8 people if you wanted. Lovely owners.
The fact that there is no way to control heating within the rental part of the accommodation which was particularly unfortunate as it happened to be cold weather when we stayed. Literally the only downside. I've no doubt that in colder months, the heating will be on regular.

It was a wonderful experience at Hillcrest and the apartment is excellently and professionally maintained by the hosts. It had all the amenities needed for a great family stay.
Great location, close to Killkee Cliffs and the Loop Head. Cliff of Moher and Ring of Kerry not far away either.
TESCO and ALDI also a few minutes away so sorting out breakfast really easy.
The flush of the toilet was not powerful so had to flush it multiple times to clear.

Location perfect. (Breakfast did not apply). Austin and Eithne are wonderful hosts and everything we needed was provided. Beautiful garden and the most comfortable bed I ever slept in.

Front view picture given in the website shows the residence of the host ,not the apartment which is totally misguiding.I felt there is no privacy, host is watching us all the time as the apartment is at the back side of the host residence.Will not be recommending this to any one.
