This beautiful home and terrific host made our stay fantastic!

We stayed here for the second year in a row and just like the previous one, it was great. We love the location and everything about the house. The house is so warm and welcoming and anything you may have forgotten I swear he has them there for you. We plan on coming back next year.

My sister's and I take my Mom on a vacation every fall. We love coming to Michigan. Steve's home in Indian River was centrally located to what we planned on seeing. We visited Paradise Michigan and visited White Fish Point Ship Wreak Museum, Watched the ships go through the locks at Sault Ste. Marie, visited St. Ignace, took a day trip to Mackinac Island and shopped in Frankenmuth at the world's largest Christmas Store. We enjoyed relaxing mornings at Steve's home and when we returned home in the evening, enjoyed cooking in his nice kitchen and enjoyed relaxing in the back yard. The home is well stocked with towels, bathroom incidentals if you forgot your toothpaste! There are 3 bedrooms, 2 have very comfortable queen beds, the third room has two twin beds which were very comfortable for adults. The kitchen was very nice, nice gas stove, (gas grill in back yard) dishwasher, 4 slice toaster, coffee pot, microwave oven, blender, crock pot, mixer. The home is so cozy and comfortable, we could have stayed another week! There is this cool board walk through the back yard which gets you closer to Burt Lake. Burt lake is a beautiful, clean lake with wonderful sand beaches. It was a little too cool to be in the water, but we loved walking down by the lake. This was the second time that I stayed at this property, and I have already booked it again for a third trip next year! Great house, great location, and a great host! Everything about this rental property is perfect.

The place was neat and clean, very well furnished to make our stay very comfortable. Steve was extremely helpful in our communications with him. We would gladly stay there again, and assure anyone else to not hesitate to stay there. The location is excellent - a short walk to the lake, near the main part of town and very easy to find. Definitely well worth it!! A wonderful place to be when visiting that area (less than 30 minutes from the ferry to Mackinac Island.)

Beautiful cottage right at the beach. Very clean, comfortable, quite and perfect location! Host is fabulous, generous and communicates. We will definitely be staying here again.

This house is located close to the beach, the river, and town so there was always something close to walk to. The house is very clean and well kept so It felt like home

Steve was so easy to work with from beginning to end. Cottage is comfortable and well appointed, with just about everything you need for your get away. A great location to explore the northern part of Michigan and Mackinac Island.

Can’t say enough good things about this property and the host, Steve. Property was immaculate, decor was perfect, use of space was creative without losing any convenience. Left there feeling relaxed, rejuvenated and ready to face whatever life throws at me. Thank you Steve for everything.

This property was clean and had everything you could need. Steve is the ultimate host, thanks for the clear instructions, restaurant suggestions and water and snacks. Checking in was easy. The cottage is so cute and the landscaping is to die for. It was great to have so much charming outdoor space with fire pit and a path to the beach area. We loved eating at Christopher's cafe and traveling to Mackinaw Island and surrounding areas like Sault Ste Marie. This is a great, relaxing place to stay!

I went up with my Dad for a fishing trip and we were both impressed with our stay. Great location right next to Burt lake with a small jaunt to mullet lake and other rivers. The check in/out process was super smooth and the amount of amenities blew other places out of the water. Likely one of the best rentals I’ve stayed in. I only hope he has availability for next year. Our family of 6 had a wonderful weekend in Indian River. Steve was an excellent host. He was easy to communicate with and provided great recommendations. His cottage is cozy, clean and relaxing. We were there for our son’s wrestling tournament. The cottage provided us with a bonus family vacation weekend. We had everything we needed- full kitchen supplies with nearby grocery, games, extra blankets, fireplace. We loved it!

Steve had us "check-in" by using the garage code he gave us to enter the house, and that was it, so that was easy. The house had all the kitchen utensils we needed, and lots of toiletry items (shampoo, soap, toothbrushes, etc.) were provided, which was nice. My bed was one of the most comfortable I've slept in! There were some spices and olive oil and vinegar in the kitchen which was nice, too. Overall, great place to stay!

Our stay in the cabin was perfect. It was a nice 25 minute drive to The Highlands and Nubs Nob and at a reasonable price. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed, including a blender for breakfast smoothies. We took a walk on the frozen lake at sunset and through the neighborhood full of cute cabins/cottages/homes. Beds were very comfortable and the extra half bathroom was great for minimizing wait times :-) Next time we ski in the area we will book with the host, Steve. On a side note, we now addicted to the Belvita cookies that were in the bowl on the table when we arrived.

Everything was as described, Steve provides clear and easy directions for checking in and out. Nice location off the main downtown area, but everything is still close by.

I rented this cottage since my cottage could not accommodate all of my guests. This was a perfect solution due to proximity to my place and all the fun things IR has to offer. Loved the boardwalk to the beach and really enjoyed our time in the home. Kitchen was well designed to accommodate meals and the living area was very spacious. Very clean and Steve was super with answering questions from the time I booked all the way through our stay. I will encourage others to consider this home as well as seek to rent it again when I need more space, particularly when we can enjoy the private back deck and fire pit! Thanks so much Steve!!

Steve is a great host that made us feel welcome. We had 6 adults staying at the home and there was plenty of room. Such a cozy and comfortable place to stay. The place is within about a 5 minute walk to restaurants, coffee shop and ice cream. I would definitely recommend staying here because of the home atmosphere and Steve is a great host.

This was a great place to stay in Indian River. The cottage was cozy and the perfect size for us. We enjoyed the neighborhood and easy access to the lake/river. Steve did a great job making the check-in and check-out clear and easy. Would love to stay again!

What a perfect place to gather our family for a White Christmas celebration. The gas burning stove made for such a cozy and comfy atmosphere. We loved how the kitchen, dining area, and living area all flowed into one great open space. The kitchen was very well equipped for people who love to cook. The thought put into the design of the home to utilize and maximize storage and easy access to everything you desire and need for creature comforts, is outstanding.

This is the perfect property to rent in Indian River. Easy walk to Burt Lake, downtown and Northland Brewery. The house was immaculately clean with plenty of space for our group of six adults. Steve was fantastic to work with from start to finish. We left an item behind and he could not have been kinder or quicker about helping us. We will be visiting again and again!

This was our second time here and it was just as perfect as our first visit! House is very clean with all accommodations! Nicely decorated and feels like home! Close to everything in town. Steve the host is extremely helpful and always a phone call away if he should be needed! We will be back!

What a cute house! Quiet neighborhood, close to the lake. House very well stocked. It was a perfect little getaway!

Our family of 6 had a marvelous time at this house. The open concept and 3 bedrooms gave us space to spread out. He has several board games and cards that served us well on a rainy day of our trip. There are so many sights within a 20min drive. The fall leaves were amazing. Steve was accommodating, flexible, and checked in to make sure we were poised to arrive safely. We are grateful for the beautiful memories we made on this trip!
