Good Hotels Boston

This was very practical for my needs. It is in a good location, just as short walk from Massachusetts Avenue station on the Orange Line which allows easy travel into the centre of Boston. The Prudential Tower is also within walking distance and I thoroughly recommend local restaurant Petit Robert Bistro. The bed was comfortable and it was useful to have facilities to self-cater for breakfast and the occasional light meal. Space was extremely tight though and it would have been very cosy with two in the same room. The internet worked fine for me throughout my stay and it was very useful to have free access to laundry facilities. Full marks to the housekeeper who was excellent. I would look to stay here again if I return to Boston.

The cumbersome pre-registration process and the door entry system which didn't initially work for several guests who were there at the same time as me. Access depends entirely on the technology working. The lack of on-site support meant when a problem arose I had to phone for help and then had to wait until the housekeeper started her shift. The sound insulation isn't great because I could hear conversations in the neighbouring room. Despite its name, this isn't what I would call a hotel - it is a series of very small apartments within a building with access to a shared communal area.

The location was very good and convenient

Nice neighbourhood and excellent location: there were two subway stations within walking distance of the hotel. A small kitchenette, free coffee, access to a fully equipped kitchen, and some groceries such as milk, cereal, and pasta. Very amiable staff and helpful customer support.

The room needs better maintenance and some redesigning. Some plug sockets were falling off, the AC was dirty and not properly fixed to the window frame, there were no window shutters, the artificial flowers were covered in layers of dust, there were no plug sockets near the bed, not a single hook for coats, and you couldn't use the kitchen sink without bumping your head against the cupboard. Luckily, when we complained, the staff reacted quickly and did everything in their power, but there was only so much they could do.
