The staffs were lovely. Jojo was very helpful. It’s a very basic hotel, I’d call it a backpacker’s place rather than a hotel.
Really need to redecorate the rooms. It is a cheap hotel so wasn’t expecting much because it was a stopover to Sepilok. But the first room had mould, requested a room change. 2nd room was a bit better but still had a musky smell.
No lifts so don’t book the 2nd floor if you have luggage.

Located closeby - about 1.2km - to my place of work visit. Excellent location. Air cond was working after 10 - 15 minutes. Hot water was working after 5 - 10 minutes. Pleasant enough for a work stay! Despite whatever the case, Mark's Lodge is secure and I feel safe, and this is the most important factor in my decision.
Stayed for 4 days and 3 nights. No housekeeping done, no refreshed complimentary water and no refreshed coffee and sugar packs in that entire duration. Trashed not cleared - so please do not simply throw your rubbish thinking it will be cleared the next day. No one will make up your bed and no one will clean up or vacumn the room. I ended up visiting 7-11 to get buns and 3-in-1 coffee stixs. Wished it was a bit better.
