Great cottage for our holiday, thank you

It would be helpful if there was a hairdryer but it wasn't a problem

An ideal property to call home for a few days on the road. Incredibly quiet despite being a 2 minute walk from the A9. All the homely comforts including a much needed washing machine + multiple bathrooms to help us get out the door that bit earlier each morning.

Great host

I was visiting Shetland and Orkney islands with a group of 4 friends. We arrived at the mainland Scotland through the Scrabster ferry terminus with a late arrival at 18h45 in the evening. The access was very simple and explained in detail by the host which made our late night arrival pretty smooth. The location of the house is central and the railway station is walkable with a lot of restaurants nearby. The best part about the house was the spacious rooms. Living room (comfy recliners) and the kitchen (well equipped) were the highlight. All the house rules were clearly explained by the document in the house and the host accommodated our request as we were there with a check-in late in the evening. I would definitely recommend this place and would love to stay again when in Thurso.

I don't think there is much to complain about the house in general, except for some minor cleanliness issues in the Bedroom and Bathroom. It was evident that the cleanliness has been outsourced and have been done in haste. However, it was not a major issue as the level of cleanliness was acceptable and can happen occasionally with hotel rooms as well.

The location is great, there is a big Co-op next to the property and the resturant Y'not is quite good and value for money too. The Host Ian called me upon arrival to make sure everything is ok, he is very helpful because we forgot our scarf in the wardrobe when checkout but Ian posted it back to us! The flat is very clean and tidy, facilities are all new and it's like a nice home during the trip!

Very clean an excellent facilities. We couldn't of asked for a better location as we were so close to the British legion club where we were playing.we will certainly use this boarding house again when we are back up in Thurso. Absolutely fabulous property, we loved it, we visit Thurso often to see family and this is such a high standard it’s one of the best we’ve stayed in, we really hope to go back very soon 😊

Very friendly host. House was lovely inside. Deceptively large. Everything you could possibly need and all to a high standard. Beds were very comfy. 2 mins from shops and pubs but still peaceful. Sea and river just a few mins too. We found this place at short notice as our ferry got cancelled and was tempted to stop an extra night it was so comfy 😀

absolutely amazing stay for the weekend whilst we attended a wedding dance on the Saturday night, the house was lovely and just ticked off all the boxes for what we needed. everything was so local to get to if we needed to get anything and our visit was just great we will definitely come back again.

The house was really well put together, had plenty of amenities and was clean. The host was communicative and the door was coded meaning that even though we got there a load later than expected we were still able to access the property.

A lovely house, clean, warm, very suitable for a family. I regret that I didn't bring my family as it was a business trip. opposite to the place is a fish&chip shop, very popular, many people queuing outside when I arrived at 18:00 pm. and there is a co-op supermarket behind it. so very convenient.

Recently renovated property that had everything we needed and more. It was so comfortable with a lovely yard with lots of seating had the sun actually shone. Lovely break from our campervan to rest up whilst doing the NC500.

Everything perfect. Spotless clean. Decorated nicely. Feel like reall home. Everything what you need is there, glasses, plates, pans and more..two bathrooms one with bath one with shower, back garden... just perfect. Cooperative just in the corner. Very happy with our staying.

Absolutely perfect, everything you would want in your own home. Couldn't fault the place or the owners. Would definitely stay again and recommend. Cheers Iain.
