The one tiny thing was the missing window, but it had aircon/ heater so no problem at all…

Great for a one night stay. Arrived late and left early but was good for the 3 of us. Sofa bed and main bed comfy and spent the eve watching a DVD - relaxing time.

I was walking a section of the Lancaster Canal as a multi-day walk, The Staithe was conveniently located close to the canal, within easy walking distance of the town centre via the canal towpath. I found it ideal for a single traveller, as it offers kitchen facilities allowing flexibility for meals. It is a small space which contains everything you need!

Brought our own breakfast food.Plenty of storage space. Location was good being close to the canal and a short walk along the towpath into town. We appreciated the wine to welcome us and some provisions left in the fridge. All very clean and a comfortable bed.
We were very disappointed to find that the photo on the website saying there was access to a patio overlooking the canal was not a private space but four parking lots ( including ours) that always had cars parked there. It was also on a footpath to the other terrace houses beyond and overlooked by the flats above and to each side. We soon realised the room was a converted garage with no windows or insulation. We could hear the washing machine next door and footsteps from the flat above. We were glad to find the two-ringed cooker but could have done with a couple of flat bottomed pans that would cook food quicker.

It was very unusual and very cosy was a lovely stay not to far away from all attractions
Only thing didn’t like was the person in the apartment above was a bit noisy especially in early hours

Absolutely nothing.
Property is a converted garage situated in a housing estate. Generally the room is habitable however the bed and bedding was disgusting as such we could not stay there. Old items not cleaned up in bathroom. Owner lives above and when confronted just shrug9ged his shoulders. Booked for 3 days but left without staying. A Property to avoid.

When arrived there was champagne and chocolates waiting right on the canal and even had food in the freezer incase you didn't have time to get to the shops would recommend and definitely stay again

A short walk into the centre of town along the canal. Very creative use of space. Comfortable with all you need. Excellent shower and the room is tastefully decorated.
Slightly better cooking facilities would have been good.

Lovely little studio, near the canal.
Only had microwave, no hob. But still can buy a microwave meal no problem for 2 days.
Would have liked a bath towel.

Well prepped kitchen with all kinds of utilities. Plates, glasses, cutlery etc., plus new scourer and washing up liquid to do the dishes with. It was easy to unlock the key box. Lots of towels. Complementary rosé wine and long lasting milk in the fridge. There was a TV which we used for YouTube and Netflix (our own account).
The area was fine in daylight, but in the evening it was quite dark and a little bit uncomfortable to walk in. I also would’ve preferred having a wall and door, rather than a big window with curtains.

The facilities of the accommodation superb. Complete! Add wall clock, it will be helpful for the guest.
Noise from upstair really annoying. The sound of them walking or sometimes running (even water tap or flush sound) around 2am or 3am (sound like every hour they make noise) 😅 sound proof from outside except from house upstair.

Really clean and comfortable, everything you need really. Great instructions on how to find it and for all appliances in the room - very private room and so close to the city centre and canal.

There was a little bit of noise through floor boards from room above, but not enough to disturb our sleep.
