It was all so comfy and spacious. A truly lovely home from home with everything we needed for a very enjoyable weekend. I especially liked the sunny conservatory and lovely touches such as flagons of water from the holy wells and a basket of slippers. The house was decorated and furnished beautifully and the garden is pretty too. Would definitely recommend and we hope to stay there again in the future!

The doorway between the reading room and the conservatory has a raised trip hazard and care should be taken.

lovely atmosphere, comfortable and well equipped

Everything was carefully thought out - the host had thought through what we might need and made sure it was there. The house was bigger than expected and lots of room for us all. Location was splendid with only a short walk to the high street.

Nothing! It was all excellent.

We had a lovely time at Rie’s house. My family used it as an anchor for exploring other towns and also as a refuge for feeling at home. Rie was always quick to reply and very kind. All the breakfast ammenities included were very convenient. The whole house has kindness in its details.

Beautiful house in a great location

Someone walked in the house who we didn't know, turned out to be a friend returning something! The next morning the cleaner was cleaning the house whilst we were getting packed ready to leave.

There was just a warm and welcoming atmosphere and you felt straight at home. Stunning rooms and really comfortable beds. Beautiful bathroom with a big tub, perfect for a long soak. Lots of choices for breakfast. From check-in to Check-out, there was no rush or stress and everyone was just so kind. I loved the beautiful garden which is perfect for meditation or relaxation, there are so many options. It is a perfect location and easy to get to Chalice well, orchards and Town centre. We cannot wait to come back again.

Rie is such a beautiful person, so helpful with showing us around the house, anything we needed and advice on things to do. She has so much information on things to do, which was great! The house also came with breakfast bits, her home made granola (which was incredible and you can also buy!), a whole load of herbal tea and other kitchen bits. The house was spacious, it had everything we needed in terms of kitchen appliances, bathrooms were clean and good showers, bed's were comfy and her living areas are SO lovely and comfortable. We really made the most of the house. She also has a fantastic garden with a fire pit and treatment room at the back if you'd like to book a massage or energy work. The location was also fantastic, it's a 5 minute walk to the high street and about a 15 minute walk up to the Tor. We had 6 girls staying and we honestly couldn't have asked for a better host, house and location! Can't recommend Rie's retreat more.
