The hosts are very friendly and helpful.

Due to the remote location of the villa, the taxi from the airport cost €50. Two taxi drivers were unable to find the villa, even though they had put the address into their sat nav. One taxi driver spoke to the host on the phone and still couldn't find the villa. Taxis from the villa to Funchal cost €25. Their are no shops within walking distance.

Beautiful place with a traditional Portugese interior, a very well kept garden and a great view. Also, Mrs. Cristina was very friendly and helpful. We communicated with her using Google translate.

Wifi was not bad, but the wifi signal was insufficient in one of the bedrooms, the kitchen and around the house. The cause may be the thick walls of the building.

Clean inside and out, outside area nice to sit, wood burner was a welcome addition to heat the property as it did get quite cold in the evening (April)

The owners family live on the property so there is not much privacy, sometimes you'll be relaxing outside and a lady walks past you in the garden, the host constantly barraged my daughter late at night with messages for money when I joined their stay for the last 2 nights, although this wasn't disputed we felt quite harassed. Not much kitchen accessories supplied just 2 cups 2 plates 3 bowls and minimal cutlery, beds were very firm and not enough extra covers supplied for cold nights

Beautiful location and outlook. Car required but close enough to Funchal looking down onto Levada do Norte. Spotlessly clean Wonderful hosts We arrived late at night and they had waited for us ( if arriving late take some UHT milk , tea, coffee ) as no shops close. Asked for beach towels and provided. Decor old world but not in a bad way as it just adds to the charm . Settees and bed mattress felt new.

We were a party of 2 adults so ok for us but kitchen could do with more equipment. Plenty of pans could do with more cutlery , dishes serving spoons and a grater. The coffee pot didn’t work on the cooker as it is halogen ( one of those things you’d only know once tried )

The hosts were exceptionally helpful and kind. Location is high in the hills, away from bustle of towns. A hire car more or less essential. Excellent levada walks directly from the house

Cristina is lovely and kind but speaks hardly any English. Fortunately Carlos could be contacted who speaks good English. There was nothing we didn't like!

The place is nice with beautifill view and nice garden. The house is big and recently rebuilt. The owners were very kind and tried to make our stay comfortable.

Unfortunately we had bad weather so it was quite cold there, but there is a fire place.
