Faites du kayak ou du canoë à partir de notre quai, ou lancez votre bateau de pêche de 10 ch à partir du lancement de l'État sur la route. Pour les pêcheurs et les femmes licenciés, il y a une excellente pêche à faire ici juste à côté du quai ou sur le lac! Quatre chambres sur cinq ont vue sur le lac. Deux salles de bain complètes comprennent une baignoire sur pieds et une douche debout. La cuisine de l'office entièrement rénovée comprend des comptoirs en granit, un grand réfrigérateur, un lave-vaisselle, une cuisinière à gaz avec plaque chauffante intégrée et un évier de ferme. Planchers de bois franc partout. La maison est un tournant du siècle victorien avec de nombreux détails originaux soigneusement préservés. Notre maison est bien approvisionnée et fournit essentiellement tout ce dont vous avez besoin pour de belles vacances en famille. We were a family of 13, four adult couples and 5 children, ranging in age from 5 to 74!! It's hard to find a place that can accommodate us all and the Lake Colby house was it. The house has 19th century charm and it made us feel like we were really in the Adirondacks. Beds were comfortable and Todd did so much to accommodate us, even bringing over a blender for our morning smoothies and evening frozen cocktails! Everyone enjoyed reading on the porch and looking at the lake. The dining room table fit all of us for big family meals. The small table in the living room was perfect for puzzles and crafts. We enjoyed our late night talks and s'mores around the fire pit. Everyone enjoyed hopping in canoes, kayaks and paddle boards and exploring the lake. Even the five year olds were able to master the kids' kayaks. The lake itself was beautiful with lots of areas to explore from your own boat. The public beach was next door and our kids could walk or bike there without crossing a street, which made us feel safe. The kids also made a fort in the wild area past the beach. We all enjoyed walks through the state forest at the end of the road. The location was also perfect for exploring the towns of Saranac Lake and Lake Placid. There were endless activities that matched everyone's tastes. I can't recommend this house enough!

This house and its location are absolutely spectacular. I greatly appreciate historic architecture and the owners have done such a loving job of restoring this beautiful home. The house was equipped with everything we needed. And the boat house had canoes and kayaks for everyone. It was wonderful to see my 10 and 7 year old grandchildren get on their life jackets and take canoes out on the lake. The 4 year old loved the nearby sandy beach. The adults had a great time in the canoes and hiking. It was a good family time together, with family members coming from Salt Lake City, Rochester, and San Diego.

I recently stayed at this home with my husband and our 4 kids ages 11 to 6. Close family friends also vacationed with us and their family included 2 adults and a 13 y/o. The home is 100+ years old and beautifully restored. The home is huge! As a party of 9 we had beds left over. We spent the majority of our week sitting on the wrap around porch and enjoying the views of the lake. When we weren't on the porch the kids loved fishing from the dock. The home has so many kayaks and canoes! We were all able to explore the lake at once. The home also included a huge variety of life jackets. The public beach which has life guards is next to the property so we could easily walk to it. The kids loved swimming to the platform at the public beach. There are several hiking and biking trails near by, Lake Placid is also a short drive away. There were so many restaurants near by, we loved Tail O' the Pup and La Bella Ristorante. At night we enjoyed sitting around the fire pit and roasting s'mores. Plenty of outside seating was provided so we had less to pack. We all enjoyed the historic home which was decorated with not only Adirondack charm but also many historic items. We could tell that the home is loved by its owners and well cared for. On many days our kids didn't want to leave the house at all, they just wanted to be in the water or fish. There are many board games at the house as well. Every morning the kids would search through the game cabinet for a game to play at the dining room table. We loved that the home was close to restaurants and included so many amenities. The home owner was easily reached and he provided recommendations for different fishing locations on the lake and trails to hike/bike. Our kids said that this was one of their favorite vacations. Overall a great vacation in a beautiful home.

Lake Colby Trip
This is a beautiful lake with plenty to do. We fished, kayaked and canoed. We brought our own canoe, but there were plenty of kayaks, canoes and lake toys available for our use. We took a boat out on the connecting lakes one day and hiked several others. The location was great-close to Saranac, a supermarket and restaurants and a quick easy drive to all the Lake Placid attractions.

Paddling the Adirondacks
Very convenient location. On the water. Our group of 10 adults found the place most comfortable. We paddled each day from a different Putin exploring beautiful Adirondack’s waterways. Spent late afternoons overlooking the water from the deck enjoying a cold beverage and later cooked marshmallows at the fire pit. Would recommend the place highly. Paul

The listing described the house accurately and the pictures were helpful. The location was perfect for giving our daughter a break from the dorm room as the college had an abbreviated break of 2 days off so we went to her instead of her coming home. If the weather were warmer it would have been ideal for some kayaking as the lake is in the backyard. It was lovely to have a fireplace and to enjoy. We were able to enjoy cooking together and having relaxing family time together.

Beautiful house- close to lots
Beautiful house that was plenty big enough for my family of 12. Great location and a gorgeous wrap around porch and view of the lake. Could use some small upgrades- like a better banister on the 2nd floor at the top of the stairs and a door on one of the bedrooms on the 3rd floor. But its a picturesque Adirondack lakehouse!

The owners were pleasant and very accommodating. They give a deep cleaning between clients.
The house is WELL stocked with I’d have to say everything we needed and then some.

Perfect Lake Getaway
This house and property is so well maintained and you can tell a lot of work went into renovations. We enjoyed the view and the wrap around porch which had shade throughout the entire day! Plenty of space and beds to accommodate everyone. Kitchen is well stocked and has everything you need to cook meals. The dining table easily fit our family for each meal with a gorgeous lake view. The living room had comfortable and relaxing furniture. We put together a difficult but enjoyable 1000 piece puzzle :) And used the canoe and kayak multiple times and was easy in and out access with the dock and ladder. The beach was a short walk and the kids loved the beach and swimming. This house and location was the perfect getaway we were looking for! Thank you for providing a lovely home for our family to enjoy!

Great Stay!
Stayed here for a long weekend with family to celebrate a graduation and it was exactly what we needed. Clean, quiet, and had great amenities that made the weekend fun. We personally enjoyed the fire pit and kayaks/canoes. Would definitely return!

Enjoyable weekend in Saranac Lake
We had a terrific weekend up in Saranac lake for a wedding. We rented Todd’s house and it was a perfect place to stay over the weekend. The view of Colby Lake is beautiful. The house is a “typical” Adirondack house. It is comfortable, has all the amenities you need, great views of the lake and the fall foliage, and is centrally located to both town and hiking trails. We took full advantage of the opportunity to hike in between wedding festivities. It was great to retire at the end of each night to “our” house. A great wedding and great weekend up in Saranac Lake!

House on the lake
The pictures of the dock and waters edge were misleading. Looked great in the pictures but not nice at all up close. We have 4 kids wanting to jump in and swim and this was not the case. All of the porch furniture was old and gross and the entire porch was covered with spiders and cobwebs. 2-3 weeks of garbage sat there for 5 days of our vacation and the glass fell out of the kitchen ceiling light and my husband bought a new one and replaced it himself. We did a lot of hiking while there as we had no place to swim except at the public beach .

Great for families
Wonderful lake house in a beautiful area. We thoroughly enjoyed our week. We spent time swimming at the park next door, grandkids caught lots of fish off the dock, using kayaks & canoe were some of our highlights. Todd was great, we highly recommend this house.

Wonderful family get- away
We really enjoyed our long weekend!My mom(91),her "kids"and spouses all there.Because of our sisters failing health, one of the best features was the great back porch overlooking the water.It was so beautiful and serene.
The house was restored beautifully, and since we like old houses, it was great.
Wonderful and comfortable weekend.
I do think it is wise to let renters the locations of the bedrooms.

Good house
House was good, a little dark. Could use more lights or brighter lights, except dining room could use a dimmer switch. Also, road noise was loud. Otherwise the stay was very good, we had a great time

Beautiful home, absolutely heavenly.
This was my favorite vacation, a first in the ADK. I honestly would have been happy just sitting in and around this gorgeous old house!!! Everything was perfect and the views and the fire pit...loved it!!!

We spent our days hiking the Saranac 6 and exploring Lake Placid, all within easy access of this home. In the evenings we enjoyed canoeing and cooling off with a swim on Colby Lake. This home is truly fully stocked! From the canoes and kayaks provided along with the necessary equipment to man them - to the kitchen with all the supplies and utensils, there was nothing missing! I loved watching the lake from the expansive porch with my cup of coffee in the morning and my glass of wine at night. It was the perfect way to bookend each day of our stay. Thank you for sharing your home with us and making our family reunion possible.

Cozy lakehouse
Had a great time with my extended family for a holiday weekend. Plenty of space for everyone, had your basic necessities. Beautiful view of the lake although the weather didn't allow for us to get to use the kayaks provided. Nice spot outside for a fire. Enjoyed our time there and would recommend!
