We enjoyed our stay at this unique property. Unfortunately our activities kept us from enjoying the outdoor amenities (not much time)—but the beautiful garden and conversation spots made the environment delightful. Comfortable nights’ rest, roomy living spaces, and loved the spacious and bathroom. I liked the eclectic interiors—got some different things going on but it works! We felt very welcomed and thanks for the gift of artisan cheese! (Would stay again and recommend.)

My wife and I spent 5 days here. Could not of asked for a better location and host. The property was beautiful and peaceful. Only a 20 minute drive from downtown Austin made it ideal for being in Austin but not constantly dealing with the big city noise. We did the cheese tasting with Joaquin. It was so fun and delicious I recommend anyone try it. If we’re ever in Austin again we will be staying here!

It was a quick get away for us- part business and part disconnect from stress- and this little cabin in Manchaca had a very welcoming space inside and out. There are two other buildings/dwellings in close vicinity to the property. We arrived really late and had to leave early, so we didn’t get a chance to meet the owners but waved in passing. It’s a cool little place with lots of well thought amenities and aesthetic touches. It made us feel good about the location we were staying in. My biggest regret was not meeting the owners to tell them what a cute place they have and purchasing more cheese. They left a nice little tasting gift for us in the fridge. Oh, and we wish we had looked to see the brand of mattress. My husband hadn’t slept that well in years.

I had my parents stay here for a weekend, and we were all so impressed with the design and thoughtful touches around the converted cabin. Joaquin was friendly and so quick to help when the fridge wasn’t working at first. I’d love to visit again!

We loved the cabin and the eccentric neighborhood. Convenient to south Austin, the Wildflower Center, etc. Fun to be on the property of a family of artisan cheese makers.

We can't say enough about this darling little house. Joaquin and Elisa are so welcoming and accommodating. They made us feel like family. The house is very clean and well stocked. Although it's one bedroom, it is roomier and some 2 bedroom VRBOs that we've had. It's location is perfect whether you are going to Austin or San Marcos. It's very quiet and safe. We stayed over 2 weeks and will definitely go back. We'd love to see the gardens at their peak. Thank you Joaquin and Elisa!

The unique artistry of the bathroom tile work, the bold and modern color palette, the fresh artisan cheese in the fridge… all of it was absolutely dreamy. To top it all off, we enjoyed modern luxuries like Berkey filtered water and a tankless water heater. We enjoyed our stay!

Joaquin was so kind, quick to respond, and a great host. This was the perfect spot for my mom, and she loved every minute.

The owner has done a great job with the property. It’s nicely appointed and suited our needs perfectly for a long weekend getaway. The owner is affable and welcoming. We sincerely appreciated his genuine spirit. Definitely schedule a cheese tasting if possible.

My husband and I are local to Austin and wanted a change of scenery for a few days during Valentine’s Day. This cabin in Manchaca was a great location for us: just far enough away that we felt like we were in the country, but a 5-10 min. drive from anything we needed. We found the cabin to be comfortable, spacious, and beautiful! We did a lot of cooking and enjoyed the well-stocked kitchen, which had plenty of pots and pans as well as sharp knives, cutting boards, etc. Lots of comfy pillows, nice looking decor, and a large shower were all nice touches. When we arrived there was a complementary bottle of wine and some Dos Lunas cheese waiting for us, which was a really nice touch. We booked a private cheese tasting with Joaquin, and it was a really special (and delicious) way to celebrate the holiday. Joaquin’s passion for his craft was incredible and we really enjoyed learning more about the amazing flavors that can come from creative and thoughtfully produced cheese! We loved being near Valentina’s Tex Mex BBQ and Manchaca Springs Saloon, and the neighborhood was fairly quiet. All in all we had a lovely stay and would definitely like to return!

I did a short stay here while waiting on my house to be built nearby. I found this cabin to be inspiring. The interior design is really great and I felt good doing my remote work here. It's on a cheese farm and they shared some great samples with me too. Would definitely recommend.
