There are not enough stars to rate this place. An absolute bliss!! So quiet, millions of stars and in constant view of Mount Rushmore. The owners are the nicest people we have ever rented from. They go above and beyond for you to feel at home. This was a Dream stay. ❤️

Our hosts were so kind and welcoming. We felt completely at ease staying in the three-room studio apartment they built as their initial home on this hilly, wooded property. Even though they were in the adjacent home, we had our own private entrance and deck with a view of Mt. Rushmore. They gave us permission to wander their property (perhaps 10-25 acres) and explore the views and see some old mine shafts. This is a perfect getaway place for two. We'll recommend it to any we know coming to the Black Hills.

The property is magical. You can really see Mt Rushmore from the deck! Very friendly hosts. Lovely and comfortable home. There's nowhere else that we'd rather stay.

This was an amazing place to stay. It is in the heart of the Black Hills with easy access to all attractions, an incredible view, comfy bed, fluffy towels, spotless, and beautifully decorated with an attention to detail. It was so relaxing to sit on the deck and take in the surroundings. Lisa and Mike were delightful and very accommodating. Communication was outstanding. We love the Black Hills and when we return we will definitely plan to stay here again.

This guest house was beautiful inside and out. The owners were very welcoming and helpful. Close to Mount Rushmore and many other beautiful state and national parks.

Just a short trip to the Black Hills for sight seeing. Cabin was clean and well equipped. Owners Lisa and Mike were very accommodating. Hopefully we will be back.

We chose this VRBO based on central location to Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Custer Park, The Badlands, Rapid City and Keystone. It’s the perfect location and very private atop a mountain with Rushmore visible ( at night). The home is perfect for two people and the deck view into the woods is peaceful and relaxing. We travel frequently and found this VRBO to be stylish, well appointed and quiet. The furnishings are “western chic” ; Lisa has a real flair for design. The sleep quality is excellent- with a great mattress, comfortable pillows. They have app TV so you can watch your favorite shows in the evening if you want to. A washer & dryer are available downstairs, upon request. If you are looking for a premium Keystone experience, this is the VRBO for you!

Lisa & Mike were great hosts and their cabin was incredible! You’ll drive through a beautiful 2-lane road past grazing cattle and wonderful views until you reach the entrance to the property and then drive up the hill to your destination. The cabin is on the second floor and fits the vibe of the Black Hills perfectly. Once you’re there, you’ll be greeted by the official host - Okie. Okie is a big beautiful boy cat that is as friendly as you could ever want. He’ll run right in and show you around, and make you feel perfectly at home. He’s definitely a reflection of the atmosphere Lisa & Mike have given this space. The cabin is divided into the sleeping area with connected bathroom, and then the kitchen/living area. It’s really great. We couldn’t believe how well appointed the cabin is. The views - including Mount Rushmore - are stunning and the property allows one to relax and forget your worries. The bed is very comfortable and the bedroom is cozy in the best way. The bathroom has a shower that is big enough for anyone - I’m 6’2” and I had no feeling of being cramped like in some hotel showers. The kitchen is complete so if you feel like cooking a full meal, you won’t have any problems. It’s a quick drive into Keystone if you want to grab something from the boardwalk or stop at the local grocery store. The better groceries can be found in Custer or Hill City, which are a short drive away. Lisa & Mike were very helpful with suggesting dining options and other places of interest. We really had a great time and wish we could have spent more time there. I don’t think you’ll find a better place in the area, nor will you find better hosts. Can’t wait to return!! Julie & Bill.

Mike and Lisa were great hosts and they made us feel welcome. They also let us hike on their property. Can see Mount Rushmore from the deck. We really enjoyed our stay. Close to the town of Keystone which a nice place to visit.

My husband and I absolutely loved the cabin! The owners built it for themselves, and you can tell! Everything is perfectly designed and very comfortable. They have any spices you will need to cook. The view is priceless, we just spent hours sitting on the deck. The only thing that I did not realize is that the owners lives on the same property in the house next to the cabin. But that did not bother us whatsoever!

Stunning View of Mt. Rushmore and Breath Taking Sunrise/Sunsets! Oh How I miss it! The Property and Home were Spectacular. So Clean and so beautifully decorated. The bed was very comfortable - slept like a log. Shower fantastic - great pressure! Kitchen fully stocked with all appliances, coffee bar and even water filtration system. Easy drive and access to main road and very close to Mt. Rushmore and all other towns. Location can not be beat. Owners were so kind and accommodating. I mean could you ask for anything more? Thank you!!! One of the Best Places we have Ever Stayed.

My husband & I stayed here July 2022. It was a beautiful cabin located just outside Keystone, SD. We loved the deck and enjoyed the peace and quiet after each day of sightseeing. It was the perfect location: close to Mt Rushmore and Custer State Park. We were even able to day trip to Hill City, Deadwood, and Sturgis. The cabin is just right for two people. We grilled out and were thankful for a full kitchen to prepare a meal. The cabin is on the second story (over a garage) which might be difficult for people with limited mobility. We 100% recommend this place if you are looking for a great location and a serene place to return to after a long day of exploring.

The property was nice and modern. The queen bed was very comfortable. The T.V. is huge, although we did not use it much. There is much to do in the area. We really enjoyed the view of Mount Rushmore, and visiting the site also. The host were very nice and helpful. We enjoyed meeting them. They have a friendly cat. We brought our 12 year old Grandson, and host were very kind to him. Thanks Dawn

Our stay here was terrific!! The property is secluded, quiet and extremely relaxing!! It has stunning views in all directions!! Yet it is close enough for shopping and amazing site seeing!! We were a brief drive to downtown Rapid City and all a big town has to offer!! Our hosts, Lisa and Mike were very responsive and a delight!! Thank Y’all!! We will return!!

This place has everything you need and more. Lisa and Mike are super friendly and willing to answer any questions you have. Super quiet place out in the country but super close to everything! Also the bed is comfy, water is hot!

We loved this property and the owners, Lisa and Mike! The location was great for us as we wanted to be close to hiking trails and scenic views, not right in a city setting. It was a short drive to smaller towns where we could get groceries or supplies. We loved the privacy of not being in a hotel or cabin surrounded by lots of other vacationers. The property itself is very pretty, woodsy themed, but very new and with every amenity we could want. It is upstairs, which was not a problem for us but less mobile people might prefer something on ground level. . The view is amazing! Two entire walls of windows/sliding glass doors facing the woods with the mountains in the background. We were looking at nature from every spot in the condo. And the deck off of the back was so nice for eating outside or just having coffee or drinks any time of the day. Yes, you do have a distant view of Mt. Rushmore, which was fun! It was a very comfortable spot for two people, comfy bed, all the dishes needed for cooking plus a gas grill outside. The owners left some “extras” for us, which we didn’t expect. They met us, to show us around the place and were very interested in making sure we had anything we might need. They are very nice, welcoming people. Since the property is tucked into a mountain, the surroundings are beautiful and we even hiked right there, enjoying all of the beautiful views, rocks and minerals found in the area. We love the Black Hills area! Definitely would love to come back in the future!
