Great for adults visiting LSU looking to stay at a nice home where old friends could catch up. We wanted to feel like we were in a home with high standards and not a party place and that’s what we got.

Everything was exactly as described in the listing. Easy access off the highway and everything you needed wasn't but a few minutes away. 5 Stars if you ask me 👍

July 28th-30th. TX to LA. Our daughter has been accepted into LSU Law School and we needed to move her from Texas to Baton Rouge – Geaux Tigers. We researched VRBO’s that were nearby and came across the Maison Blanche. The house was in a quiet neighborhood and close to good places to eat, we always eat good when we come to Louisiana. The house was cool, well lighted and well equipped for our stay. You could see lots of turtles swimming and sun bathing in the small canal nearby also. We moved our daughter into her new apartment during the day, then retreated to the Maison Blanche in the afternoons. We would get cleaned up, go out and eat some good Louisiana food and then finish our night listening to good music and playing Booray. LaDonna was a great host and stayed in good communication with us during our stay. We enjoyed our stay at the Maison Blanche and will definitely stay there again on future trips. Warren

Took a long weekend to come in from Texas for a family wedding. The house was so cute and in a beautiful neighborhood. The location was wonderful for us as well as it was within a 10 minute drive to everywhere we needed to go! Perfect place to spend our downtime in between events and the beds were super comfortable as well, would definitely stay here again.

Location was great, large home, supplied very well, clean. Yard needed a little attention but we weren’t out so no issue. Our air went out on Saturday, LSU graduation day, LaDonna worked continuously to get someone out to repair, she had someone that evening which on a Saturday and LSU grad day would not be easy. Great communication.

In one word…Awesome! If you need a place to stay in Baton Rouge this is it! The home is exactly as listed and the host was wonderful. We cannot wait to come back again soon to see our daughter who attends LSU!

We were in town for a wedding and had 7 adults staying at this sweet house. We were so close to everything needed and felt safe the whole time. The beds were comfortable and the house was clean. Working with the host was easy as was check in and check out. We will absolutely stay here again when visiting Baton Rouge.

The house was clean and in good condition. Nice neighborhood. The only criticism I have is that I wish they’d had a regular coffeemaker rather than a Kerrig machine. ( And have a few pods there for us to have that first morning. We had to make a coffee run.). We are coffee people. But other than that, we were pleased.

This house is awesome! You couldn’t ask for a better VRBO. It was recently renovated, so everything is clean and beautifully decorated. I like how the home is historic, with some original materials like pine floors and wood details, but the upgrades (like three flat screen tvs) and marble flooring make it feel new. The kitchen has new appliances, the beds are comfortable, the washer and dryer are a nice convenience. Plus, the location is excellent—close to LSU, the Garden District, mid-city, but in a safe and private location. The airport is only a 15-minute ride away (Lyft only cost about $16). We will be staying here again the next time we’re in Baton Rouge. Thank you!!!

We loved staying at this property. It was clean and had a great location to all the places we wanted to go. We utilized our car and Uber/Lyft very easily. I would recommend this property and will look for it again when we are back in the area.

LaDonna's 3 bed / 2 bath house is very conveniently located to the LSU campus which was great for us since we were moving our son in to college dorm there. The house is clean and comfortable and sits in a tree-lined street in a quiet neighborhood. LaDonna was easily reachable for any questions and the electronic check-in process worked well. Wifi and TV's were easy to use. Kitchen was well equipped. There are a few steps inside the house to go up from the main entry / living room to the dining room and kitchen area. We did not spend much time outside or use the outdoor patio furniture in the back yard since the mosquitos were active adjacent to the creek (and we forgot to bring our repellent - should have expected there would be bugs in August in Louisiana!). Overall an enjoyable stay - the AC and comfortable beds were appreciated after our days of moving!

Great Location, Beautiful Property, Wonderful Manager
Let me start off by saying our stay was not perfect, but Ms. LaDonna was wonderful! This house is beautiful, it's in a very convenient, safe, and quiet area, and it is spacious!
I particularly enjoyed there being a den TV far away from other bedrooms so that my 3 year old could watch Cars on repeat without waking everyone else up at 6 AM. LaDonna does have Disney+ on her tv, making it so much easier for us to give him something other than local news to watch.
As far as issues, I had a problem with not being able to find a small trash can for the hall bathroom. I'm not sure if there was supposed to be two small trash cans, but I did find one in the smaller (shower only) bathroom and relocate it to the hall bathroom. When unpacking, one of the drawers in the bathroom was off of its sliders. I let Ms. LaDonna know both of these issues and she was very responsive. These were both small issues that didn't end up impacting our stay very much.
The AC worked pretty well in all areas of the house except the bedroom with the king bed. This is likely just a factor of it being an older home, and it didn't bother me because I'm cold natured, but my husband was warm for most of the visit. This room had beautiful windows on both sides of the room, and we were experiencing a heat wave of 90-100 degree temps during our stay, so overall the AC did a herculean job. I think if you keep the door open and the curtains shut, it helps keep the temperature reasonable in that particular room.
Our largest issue came with the smaller bathroom. This bathroom has a shower only and is really not handicap accessible. One person tried to shower in it on our first night's stay, and the shower did not drain at all. She hurried out of the shower and the water took overnight to drain about an inch of water. We did not use that shower for the rest of our stay, which was perfectly fine. However, on Sunday, right as we were trying to check out, sewer water came up through the drain. I let Ms. LaDonna know and she stated she would have the issue looked at ASAP and rectified.
Overall a wonderful place with some unexpected issues. I don't think anyone really thinks there will be a plumbing issue, but they happen sometimes. I fully expect Ms. LaDonna to have already addressed the issues before I've even had time to write a review, but I did have to give 4 stars instead of 5 just because of the plumbing issues. We would definitely stay again!

LSU Easter Weekend
Great house and location for an Easter Weekend visit with our son who attends LSU. Property gave us plenty of space to relax and visit. The Easter Bunny even came for a visit!

Fun Time
