This was perfect for a one night stay as a couple. It's very bright, inviting but private. The bed was comfortable and the gas fire place made it feel perfectly cozy. We enjoyed a few cups of hot chocoate that were provided while watching the TV that's above the fireplace. They had two place settings on a shelf with two stools beneath right next to the kitchenette area. The kitchenette has a mini fridge, microwave, single electric hot plate, and a Keurig machine. There weren't any pots of pans though. Not that I was planning on cooking anyway. It was a nice touch and they truly utilized the space so well. The bathroom is updated and pretty. Inside the shower, there was a soap dispenser with body wash, shampoo, and conditioner as well as a mounted and foldable teak bench. Everything was tidy and clean. There's also a mini ironing board in the bedroom that's mounted behind a mirror. I didn't notice if there was an iron though. The bedroom also had a desk with a mounted pivot mirror for putting on makeup. Seated on the side of the desk was a hair dryer with a coat rack in the corner. The place is only a couple of minutes from the main road which has great restaurants. I would definitely book here again when in the area.

I had a wonderfully relaxing night in this apartment. The shower is amazing, the bed is super comfortable, and the fireplace makes it extra cozy! Would definitely recommend.

I stayed because I had a conference to attend in nearby Norfolk, and the location was convenient. But, now, I'm considering returning just to experience this ultra cozy, peaceful apartment again. It was that nice. In addition, any need or question I had was instantly answered by my hosts -- even later in the evening. A fully staffed major hotel could not have been more responsive.

The location was perfect for us. Great day at lake, great location for eating out, and close to family. Melissa was a great host, always available for questions, kept our towels washed daily, and accommodated our needs. Great area outside to sit and enjoy our coffee. We would definitely rent again.

This was a well-appointed little apartment with its own access within a larger house. It was comfortable and clean and the kitchenette had everything I needed for a few days stay: microwave, coffee maker, little fridge. The town beach was a short walk away and there were plenty of restaurants in Winstead or within a 20 minute drive.

I don't recommend any body to stay at this property, is nothing like you see on the pictures , and I mean nothing.... plus we didn't get a full refund. We didn't stay not even 20 minutes.

Very clean & convenient- plus having an off street parking space included. The owner was also very accommodating which helped make my husband’s birthday party do-able, as his family’s house was full. Comfortable bed & black out curtains. The air conditioner worked well. Thank you!

Great place for a quick visit to the area. Convenient to Winsted, Barkhamsted, New Hartford. Would stay again!

The bathroom is modern and beautiful. The natural light in the apartment is lovely, and there are blackout drapes if you want to sleep in; the best of both worlds. The neighborhood is quiet; parking isn’t an issue even for the pickup truck I drive. The owners are very responsive.

What a great little hidden gem! My husband and I were in town for a wedding and there was absolutely nowhere to stay! Stumbled upon this listing after scowering the internet and it was exactly what we needed. The decorations and little details were so inviting. It almost felt like staying in a little boutique hotel. The gas fireplace was such a nice touch especially since the day of the wedding happened to be a big snow storm. Melissa was quick to respond to me and made our stay super easy. Would most definitely stay here again if I found myself in Winsted. Thank you for having us!!!

Great apartment, very clean and loved the decor! Wish I had that bathroom in my house! Was a little tight for us and our two kids, but we made it work. Probably best for just a couple with no kids. But other than that, it was a super place!
