My husband and I absolutely LOVED our stay at this rental property. It was so quiet, secluded, full of greenery, and was all around perfect for us! We even got the chance to see dolphins in the ocean from our balcony one evening! We saw lots of birds, including hummingbirds from the balcony on a daily basis. This is an older home with a lot of history. Due to this, the kitchen and bathroom are on the smaller size. Definitely recommend to not rent a large car (SUV), the roads are narrow and tight in this area. We met the owner of the property and he was very nice and helpful. He gave us tips on places to eat close by. We loved the proximity to downtown La Jolla - it's easy to walk around and not have to worry about parking. Even the beach is a street away. Overall, we enjoyed our trip and if we go back to San Diego, we will return to this property. Thank you for an enjoyable experience!!

Spacious and convenient townhouse right off Pearl St in La Jolla. Restaurants, shops and a grocery store nearby. Quick walk to beach. The house is very clean and well-stocked. There’s a full size kitchen and a patio with a grill. Plenty of space for five adults. We enjoyed our stay a lot.

The property was as expected, lots of room outside for the grandkids to play. They were careful of the sand dune area, to keep it protected. Kitchen was tiny but worked out well for preparing food. Everyone relaxed and had a fun family filled time. The location was wonderful.

We had a wonderful two weeks at this property and would highly recommend it. As soon as you arrive you can't miss the gorgeous flowers and fruit trees that surround the house, then as soon as you go upstairs you are greeted by an amazing view of the ocean. A wonderful beach with both sand a tidepools is just a couple minute walk away. You can also walk easily to tons of restaurants and even to the La Jolla Cove. We only used our car when doing excursions to downtown San Diego and LegoLand, otherwise we walked everywhere. You don't even have to leave La Jolla because just being at the property is so relaxing with the view and beautiful grounds and so many awesome restaurants and beautiful beaches and coastline within a few minute walk. The house itself has so much character and history, with mostly original materials from the 1920s. Since the home is older, there is some wear and tear, but that is to be expected in a property that old and also a beach rental. It had everything we needed, including a nice library nook off one room that we used as an office, a fully stocked kitchen (though it is small), games, beach toys, a BBQ, laundry, and so much more! The grounds of the property are amazing for kids. It is huge, especially for La Jolla, and completely walled off so you can safely let your kids explore the yard complete with beautiful mature fruit trees and a huge lawn area. The downstairs unit is a great addition if you have grandparents joining a family trip or another small family that would like privacy, but it is not as nice as the upstairs house. It is a little musty and dark down there so don't expect it to be equal to the upstairs 2 bedroom house that is light and bright. Overall I would stay there again and I'm already missing the sound of the waves that lulled us the sleep every night.

Our first night we ate in, the kitchen is well stocked for all your needs. The deck offers beautiful views and is relaxing to sit on to listen to the waves. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We have spent lots of time in La Jolla over the years and felt lucky to have stayed at this property over Christmas. We loved the Spanish style and big wrapping decks. The yard was bigger than we expected, and the beach and proximity to it were fantastic for our family. The owners we kind and welcoming. Fully expecting to return.

The property was great for friends and family. We played games, walked the neighborhoods, shopped in La Jolla, enjoyed the beach and many meals. Everyone was relaxed and refreshed at the end of the week.

Such a lovely and special property. We loved the uniqueness of the home and the beautiful enclosed yard and patios. Only possible improvement would be to have better mattresses.

We would stay here again. Comfortable and throw back to beach living.

Our family thouroghly enjoyed our stay at this home! It was more than we expected. The space indoors and out are so beautiful and inviting. We ate all our meals outdoors. The sound of the ocean waves were therapeutic for all. The beds were very comfortable . Our 3 yr old twins enjoyed their ocean home with a hammock. The beach is just a few minute walk. Everything is close or nearby. We visited Children’s Pool Beach, Lego Land, San Diego Botanic Garden and various shops and restaurants in this area. Enjoying the ocean air all day and night was so refreshing. This is a very special home to enjoy and replenish your soul and mind. We plan to return next year. Familia Richardson

This is a gorgeous home with lots of class and history. This historic home and sand Dune on the property added to the uniqueness of this home. The owner has maintained the property with pride and joy that is evident throughout the home. The home is perfect for couples to a family being close to the beach and local area. We highly recommend this home.

We returned to this family friendly and pet friendly two story hacienda in La Jolla for the second year and again enjoyed the lush lawn, gardens and portales overlooking the ocean at Wind and Sea beach.

This house is a true gem and is located in a quiet, beautiful residential area. A one minute stroll brings you to a quiet beach, daily sunsets can be enjoyed from the spacious terrace and the sound of the ocean makes the experience peaceful and relaxed. Although surrounded by other properties, you feel you have your own, spacious and private grounds with a large garden, lush trees and seating arrangements throughout the garden and on the terrace. The house itself is very complete, with a comfortable and cozy living area, a dining area (table for four but outside there are dining areas for six and more), two bedrooms with comfortable beds (one with a small nook that served as my “office” with the sound of the ocean in the background), and downstairs is a separate area of the house with a bedroom, bathroom and pantry. A 10 minute walk (or 2 minute car drive) brings you to restaurants and shops among others a great Von’s supermarket, El Pescador - an amazing fish market, and The Taco Stand - a must! Other lovely areas to be explored are close by such as La Jolla Cove, Pacific Beach, etc. San Diego is 22 minutes away. The property management company was professional, hospitable and efficient. They offer an app that answers all questions prior, during and after your stay. We had a wonderful time and definitely recommend this property to others.

My wife and I rented this home and it was a perfect spot. The house itself is beautiful, with ocean views, unique furniture pieces, and a great yard/patio. The beds were super comfortable. Especially the one in the master. And the room downstairs was able to accommodate more family members comfortably.

Grandma, teenager, parents and even our cockapoo LOVED this gorgeous Spanish! This is a wonderful home with ocean views and a short walk to the beach. We loved the outdoor space, deck, bbq and green space where the kids could play. We were in a lovely, historic neighborhood. We would love to come back for sure!

This place is beyond amazing. It's even better than in the photographs. Everything about this villa is wonderful- the expansive yard, the beautiful deck that overlooks the ocean, and the tasteful interior with doors that open up to let in the sea breezes. We absolutely loved staying here, my favorite part was sleeping with the sounds on the ocean in my ear- you can hear it from every room. I will definitely be back for sure!
