The property was perfect for us. My Mom, sister and I came for my nephew’s wedding at the Memory Gardens. Perfect location and convenient to local restaurants and only 1 block to the beach. Good Old Days festival was a bonus!! Would definitely rent again! The only complaint from my companions was the lack of a full body mirror… lol

The property was wonderful. We love the location. Convenient walk to restaurants, bars, and the ocean. Only problem was poor communication from our host. I emailed him prior to arriving looking for a business center to print out some documents. I then texted him. I never got a response. On a second night the power went out around 8:30 PM. I immediately message Tim looking for candles, or flashlight. Again, zero response. So the rest of that night was in the dark.

The house was very nice, plenty of room for our 2 families, and just minutes to walk to Lover Point and the ocean side walk. One thing I would change is to bring the King size bed downstairs for the older folks not interested in climbing stairs. The Rental agent was very helpful when the power went out on the entire penisula and beyond. Would stay again.

We liked this place very much. The neighborhood has a lot of historical significance and the proximity to the beach, cannery row and downtown Pacific Grove was awesome. Beds were good. Kitchen great, everything worked. Parking was fine.

This was our second stay at the Salt box, we stayed there a year ago with my sister and brother in law and loved it. We loved everything about our stay this trip, but with one exception. The construction work on the house next door started early every morning. I wish we would have been made aware of this before hand. Other than that, the home was clean and well maintained, the kitchen had all the essentials for cooking. We will be back!

This historic home is perfectly maintained and very clean. Even the BBQ was clean and had adequate propane. The home is good for two couples because bathroom upstairs and downstairs. Also good for kids with third bedroom. Common area is small be we adapted. Overall charming and enjoyable!

This house is conveniently located between Lovers Point and Lighthouse. Unit is clean and updated. Kitchen is a little cramped but we were able to make do. The stairs leading up are most likely best for a younger adult as they are steep and have a short deck. Neighborhood is quiet but parking could be an issue. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

Great location in Pacific Grove. Walking distance to Lover's Point and downtown. Quiet neighborhood. Property worked well for me, my husband, my mother, and our 2 toddlers. My husband and I were in the upstairs main bedroom which shares a bathroom with the room that has 2 twin beds. My 3-year-old was in one of the twin beds and we brought a pack n play for our 1-year-old which fit well in the room. My mother had the room downstairs with her own bathroom. Would recommend this property.

The house was cute and the perfect location

This was a fantastic home in which to stay and my friends and I enjoyed everything about the home! Three of us stayed in the home and we each used one bedroom. The beds were comfortable, bathrooms were great, the house is well equipped. There’s one large bedroom on the bottom floor and two bedrooms on the second floor. The stairs going up to the second floor are a bit steep, and the upstairs shower is a large step in tub. I recommend the bottom floor for anyone who has mobility issues. We had one question while we were there and sent an email to the property manager. The response was quick and completely answered our question. Super easy to communicate with the property manager! The kitchen, dining room, living room were very comfortable for three of us. We were able to walk to nearby restaurants and down to the bay. Very accessible to nearby shops as well. The house is on a one-way street and most residents park on the street, so I recommend only taking one car to this residence. I have one recommendation for property management, which is to add a baking sheet to the collection of well-stocked kitchen items . We wanted to cook a pizza, but could not find a baking sheet. This house is well worth the stay; lovely, very clean, centrally located, and super cute! I hope to stay here again!!!

On a cousins’ weekend, we three had a lovely stay in this clean, quiet and spacious home, steps from the waterfront as well as restaurants on Lighthouse Ave. Great contact with VRBO management at all times- we highly recommend this delightful vacation rental and hope to come back again soon.

Nicely appointed beach house in Monterey. On street parking but never seemed to be an issue. Great location!

We loved our stay in Pacific Grove! This property was great for our family, including our toddler. It was walkable to the ocean, the main road downtown, and a park nearby. There were three great bedrooms with an extra office space attached to one of the bedrooms which gave us ample space for everyone to sleep. The kitchen is stocked with great cookware and made it easy for us to utilize. There is also a nice outdoor seating arrangement that was great for relaxing outdoors. We had no problems with street parking as well (and we brought three cars!). I would definitely recommend this property to folks!

We loved staying at Saltbox and would definitely stay here again. Very short walk to many good restaurants and short walk to the Lovers Point. Beds were comfy, kitchen was well stocked. Photos are accurate.
