We had a fantastic trip , The house is far better than the pictures, The house sits directly on the ocean , kinda like being on a ship , The view is spectacular and the rocks are so much fun to play and walk on , ( just be careful of the tides ) it’s very private and secluded, We spent most of our time outside walking the trails and the roads , We just came back today October 23, the weather was beautiful, we even had a full blood moon that was incredible to watch come up . Sunrise was also mesmerizing.. The beds very comfy , They have two or three TV which wr tried to use to watch the Red Sox game , but is unavailable to figure the 6 remotes out , Three challenged girls .. The house was equipped with everything you need to cook with and even though it is not listed they did have a dish washer .. We ate in for the most part , but to venture out for a few nice meals , Lobster Rolls at Reds and haddock at the taste of Maine . Definitely most places were closed for the season .. I wish they had a later check out as you have to bag all bedding in different linen bags and clean 10 am check out and a 4 pm check in .. I payed full price for both those days , And also a 1,000 dollars fee for I am not sure what !! close to 5,000 a week .. With no flexibility.. I did love the house and the location but I felt they could of been more flexible as no one was coming in after us , We even had to text them when we left and they reminded us twice , I have never experienced that before .. The coffee maker needs to be replaced it was very dirty and stained , We found a coffee press that was perfect .. 3 woman and we did have a amazing trip .. Just ask about the extra fees first ..

Maine winters can be tough, and although it was only late November, the sun goes down around 4:10 in the afternoon, making for long, dark nights, which we very much enjoyed as we sipped wine and listened to the waves crash against the rocky shore. The sunrises were spectacular. Loons could be heard in the distance. Deer walked quietly by.

I highly recommend this spot for a quiet, relaxing winter stay, as well as for an activity filled (or completely lazy) summer vacation. Kayaks and canoes can be launched from the shore of the property. Lobsters can be purchased nearby. Rockland and Camden are a quick drive from the property and are great little towns in which to spend a few hours. Both towns offer great restaurants such as Primo, Long Grain, Fresh, Natalie’s, Franny’s Bistro, In Good Company, Rockland Café, and many others. The Farnsworth Museum is also in Rockland. Portland is an easy drive, and a long day trip to Bar Harbor can be planned.

Best house on the block. Great location in Maine. Gorgeous view and home. Our dogs loved it. Wish check in was a little earlier and check out was a little later.

The property was large and isolated, so our dog had room to roam off leash, a big plus. Only one drawback - the nearest supermarket was a 25 minute ride away, so planning was critical. The house is uncluttered, and each room is situated for maximization of views. The decks are amazing with many places for solitude and/or group interaction. The location is private with the exception of all the lobster boats checking their traps. Was great for dogs. The downstairs had a musty smell to it, despite open windows, so we chose not to utilize it at all, and thankfully did not need its extra space. Would definitely rent again.

Uncluttered, very comfortable home with great views from every room. The deck spans about 280 degrees of the house with many areas for privacy or conversation and with many different views. Great landscaping. Just an amazing place. The only issue we had was that the downstairs smelled a bit moldy, even with the dehumidifier and open windows, so we chose not to use it.
