My wife and I were looking for a place close to Downtown Golden and found this wonderful studio apartment. Nicely appointed, very clean, private, and really convenient to downtown. We so enjoyed our stay and plan to come back soon. Thanks to Jan for being such a gracious host.

The apartment was everything we needed. There is a very comfortable king size bed and a great bathroom and shower. The owner provided all the little extras you might need from shampoo to tea. Contacted the owner one time and response time was almost immediate. Walk to town is only a few minutes and there are wonderful walking paths right outside your door.
Loved our stay and would recommend if you are in the Golden area.

Our stay at Jan’s studio was absolutely perfect! The studio is super cozy and comfortable with all the amenities of home. The location can’t be beat and is in walking distance to so much! I hope to stay here again! Highly recommend!!!

Jan's rental, which she calls The Blue Goat, was a gem! Great location (near our daughter, close to shopping and other activities), adorable studio space with a wonderful bathroom, outside deck to eat on, well supplied kitchen and comfy bed. Overall, The Blue Goat was cozy and private - perfect for our stay in Golden.

This was an immaculate private garage apartment with a lovely little balcony overlooking the backyard. The entrance was private and the owner responsive but not intrusive. The interior layout was beautifully done giving a feel of spaciousness and the kitchen top notch.

Loved it. Spent three nights here, the middle of July. Jan was helpful throughout the process. The apartment has everything you could possibly need, and then some. It's close to everything in Golden, in a quiet neighborhood, and a welcoming place at the end of the day. I use VRBO frequently and to me, this one is the best!

This rental was an absolutely perfect fit for my son and I. We were in town to visit several perspective Colleges and see a concert at the RedRocks Amphitheater. It was extremely clean and Jan couldn’t be more helpful and friendly. I highly recommend a stay here while taking in the sites of Colorado. If my son decides to go to college in Colorado we will be staying here again.

We absolutely fell in love with this apartment! The space itself is perfect for 2 people. Jan has thought of everything and there are so many small details that everytime we thought we needed something we found it in a drawer or cupboard. The location was amazing, walking distance to all of Golden. We loved walking every morning to get coffee (Pangaea was our favorite) and strolling the river walk. You have quick access to the highways, so Denver or the mountains are just a quick 20 minute drive. We will absolutely be staying at the Blue Goat for future Colorado visits!

Amazing! We loved the blue goat! We stayed here for 3 nights while moving our son out of his dorm at CSM. Impeccably clean, well equipped kitchen, perfect location to walk to all the fun restaurants and shops. Quick access to the trails, highly recommend Chimney Gulch for a hike! We usually stay at hotels when we come to Golden but we’ll be returning to the Blue Goat for sure!

The Blue Goat is a charming studio that you feel comfortable in immediately. Jan has thought of everything that you may need including phone chargers, small fans, umbrellas, etc. Her communication and instructions are stellar. We took one of the umbrellas to Red Rocks only to have it confiscated and never seen again. Jan was so understanding and even though it was our mistake, she said she should have told us and wouldn't let us replace it. We were there 3 nights but could see ourselves staying much longer and being comfortable. If we find ourselves in the Denver area again, we'll look at the Blue Goat first.

We had a wonderful time staying at this studio apartment. It was located in a quiet residential area but was a short walk to get to main drag in Golden to enjoy all the charm. Included private parking spot which was convenient. Also had easy access to mountain sites (Red Rocks, Lookout Mt, etc) without having to drive through Denver traffic. Our host was very knowledgeable and had many suggestions for local restaurants and things to do. Super clean and well appointed property. Thank you for a great time!

Jan thought of the little things with this property and the little things mean a lot when you're away from home - very clean and well thought out. Great property for a couple or a single person (comfy king bed). I didn't rent a car for the two weeks I was there ($$$!) but this location is beyond perfect for walking downtown and to various markets. Jan was a great host, very responsive and full of knowledge about the area. Golden has great hikes and paths all around I wish I had more time to explore. I would go back to The Blue Goat in a heartbeat!

The place was immaculate and the location walkable to the Clear Creek walkway and anywhere downtown. Being elevated made me feel like I was in a treehouse. The bed is amazingly comfy. Finishes are lovely. Enjoyed my own deck, wven in January.

We truly enjoyed out visit to the Blue Goat! It was the perfect location and size for my husband and myself. Everything was so well thought out and perfectly detailed. Loved being able to walk to downtown Golden and around the Creek. Thanks for a wonderful visit and we hope to come back!

We had a fantastic stay! We live in Florida and were visiting Denver to try to escape the heat and hopefully catch the last bits of fall. We only had a few days so we wanted to be able to both easily hike and easily get into the city - Jan's place was perfect! We could walk out the door and be hiking in minutes - no car needed to get to trails at Clear Creek Canyon or Chimney Gulch and more. Downtown Golden is an easy walk, and the light rail station for trains into Denver or the airport is a short drive. There is a nice park just around the corner. The apartment itself was very quiet, impeccably clean, and extremely well thought out - one of the most thoughtful layouts we've experienced! The bed was very comfortable, and the kitchen was well stocked. Jan was a great host - we are already thinking about our next stay!

Great location. Easy walk (10 mins) to downtown Golden. Easy drive to Red Rocks (20 mins) and Lookout Mountain. Place was quiet, quaint and well appointed.

The Blue Goat is a perfect little oasis tucked in the neighborhood just minutes walking to the beautiful trail along the river and downtown Golden. Once we parked the car for the day at the private parking spot we didn’t need it again until we left town.
Jan is a great host and she has everything you need for an amazing stay.
The bed is supper comfy and the shower is hot! Perfect in every way for a couple or even small family.
We came for a concert at Red Rocks and this truly was the perfect location! We got Golden by day and a short trip to Red Rocks for the concert at night! . Back “home” after the concert in under 15 minutes!

We really enjoyed our stay at Jan's place in Golden. The location is excellent, just a short walk to the action in downtown Golden. The studio is nicely decorated, very clean, comfortable bed and private with a view of Jan's beautiful back yard. Booking was a breeze - Jan was very responsive. Definitely recommend. The Blue Goat is a charming apartment -- we loved everything about it! It is perfectly and thoroughly appointed and located in a quiet residential neighborhood within an easy walk of the main drag with lots of restaurants and shops. It was also perfectly located for the type of getaway we were seeking. We travelled to Colorado to attend a concert at Red Rocks and to do some hiking. Golden is a great base camp for both!

The Blue Goat is as great as billed! It was a great place to stay for my husband and I during our fast trip to Colorado for a show at Red Rocks. The carriage house is comfortable and fully stocked for anything you may need. It is a quick trip to Red Rocks or back into Denver to sight see. It also is within walking distance to the main street in Golden which has great places to eat and shop. We throroughly enjoyed our time at The Blue Goat!

We were very happy with our stay at Jan's property. It was very clean. Communication with our host was easy. We saw her a few times and chatted. Access to the apartment is super easy, with 2 gates. Her backyard is so beautiful and I really enjoyed reading on the deck. She has thoughtfully provided items you may need. For example, I walked to church on Sunday morning and came home with a large, popped blister. I was able to find antiseptic spray and some bandaids. :-) I really appreciated that and it made the rest of the day much better for walking around beautiful Golden, CO. We came for a concert at Red Rocks. It was super easy to uber to and from the airport. Ubering to and from Red Rocks was also wonderful. We really enjoyed walking around Golden. Jan's apartment is in a very nice location near the downtown area. I felt safe in the neighborhood. Overall it was an A+ experience and I would jump at the chance to stay at Jan's place again!

The place was perfect! Jan thought of EVERYTHING! Bed was like heaven! Close to tubing/kayaking and restaurants/shops. Super quiet neighborhood right at the foothills. We will be back next summer!

Hidden gem!!
My wife and I were in town for a concert at Red Rocks and happened upon “The Blue Goat” as a place to stay while in town. We are SO happy that we did. Jan’s place was clean, comfortable and perfectly tucked in an awesome neighborhood, right in Golden. The king bed was comfortable, the kitchen was large and Jan seemed to think of everything we needed during our stay. Jan’s place has you within a quick walk to Clear Creek and everything that downtown Golden has to offer and even a quick drive to Red Rocks for a concert. Jan was an excellent host and The Blue Goat will definitely be at the top of our list of places to stay the next time we visit!!
