we arrived after dark and had a hard time finding the property...............I was looking for a blue/green house..........which it is on the front.............but not on the back. The hot water was not hot enough, the sink leaked, and the outdoor water handle broke. We called and they came right out and fixed it. So glad for that. The location was amazing..........Right ON the beach........just a very short walk to the water. We like to cook and found the kitchen lacking. Would have been nice to have a kitchenaid mixer, a round pizza pan, a better pastry brush, more storage containers with lids. The stove and oven worked great. The barbeque grill was very basic and old. The house itself was great........great seating in the kitchen with enought stools around the counter for 9 people. Lots of counter space to prepare food on. lots of bedrooms and beds. There was no hairdryer in my bathroom. My bathroom could use some non skid bathroom rugs...........towels on the floor. The stairs to the house were endless.............haha. the outdoor eating area was nice as was the deck in front of the house. We had a great time. Just a few quirks to overcome.

We usually take a vacation every summer with grandkids, grandparents, parent's, grown kids, siblings nieces and nephews. The house is noisy and kids are everywhere but the time together is priceless. Memaw and Pepaw (my husband and I) stayed in the loft with all of the grandkids to let their parent's have a couple of nights to their selves.We had memories of a lifetime. Thank you Sandy Cheeks! We had a blast!

This was a fantastic home and location for a family vacation. It was clean, quiet, right on the beach, and was exactly as it was listed. The area is beautiful and we will definitely be back because we all had a great time and didn't want to leave!

What an amazing home! We stayed at Sandy Cheeks for a 4 generation Family Vacation!!! Everything was perfect! Everything we needed was available. The decorations throughout the house were spot on for a beach house…a lot of thought was put in to make this a fun and comfortable stay. The rooms were perfect…everyone had their own space and we weren’t on top of each other. The deck and view was fantastic…right on the beach, steps to the water. I highly recommend Sandy Cheeks as the perfect beach house to stay at…and we look forward to returning sometime soon!!!

Stayed with husband and four teens. Plenty of space for all, and kitchen was well stocked for cooking. Water pressure in shower somewhat low, but plenty of hot water. Would stay again.

Spent a couple days at this house with the family and dogs between Xhristmas and New Years. Easy access to the beach and house was just as expected. Lots of space for large groups both inside and out. Don’t hesitate to stay at this property.

This house was great in regards to pretty much everything. It was a secluded location, meaning it was not a busy part of the beach and there is not a close big store. Bring swim shoes bc the beach there has a ton of seashells everywhere. We had a wonderful time!

We choose this house based on its size. All of the family was getting together for my 60th birthday. It was spectacular! We loved the size and location. We will be going back.

The house was great, it does sway when the wind blows or someone is climbing up the stairs. It did freak all of us out a little bit but we didn’t feel unsafe. The beach has a ton of seashells crushed up so water shoes would be great to have. Even in the ocean makes it tough to walk. There is only one grocery store nearby that doesn’t have a lot and is very overpriced. Catching the ferry is very frustrating. We waited an hour and a half. The house was great though. But next time we will stay in Galveston near Jamaica Beach.

This beach house was perfect! Right on the beach. The house had everything we needed. It is pictured exactly the way it is! I will definitely be staying again.

We go to Galveston every year with our extended family of 16 and this was by far the best place we have stayed! Pictures don’t do it justice!! Quiet location with very little traffic. Waiting to schedule it for next year as soon as I can!

Relaxing beach stay!
We had a great time with friends relaxing at this spacious beach house. The location is super convenient, house was very clean and cozy. Kitchen was well stocked with hardware and appliances. We will be back!

Being beachfront was amazing. The evening sunsets and morning sunrise. The beach itself is maintained, raked, any trash removed. It's quiet, no loud parties or crowds seen; very few people. We loved the deck and chairs. Morning sun, afternoon shade. Always breezy. The kitchen was just like home, everything you would need except the groceries. Spacious, plenty of beds and seating, really clean. I'd just suggest bringing plenty of mosquito repellent. The stairs are very steep and could be a problem for some. We were there during a thunderstorm with driving rain and wind. Weathered it just fine, was exciting as the house rocked and rolled in the wind. Definitely plan to come again.
