The house, the view, the pool, and the staff were amazing. I could not ask for a better vacation. It was peace, tranquility, and excitement all together.

We have a group of 5 with ages ranging from 38-62 that usually does at least 2 trips a year. Spots include places like Cabo, USVI, Hawaii, etc…. Belize is now on the “must return” list. Although we thoroughly enjoyed our day trips and adventures, it was Doris who put this spot over the top. To say that she puts love into everything she does is an understatement. Food is all made from scratch down to the dough and even the pasta. The dishes we’re creative at times and down home simple yet fantastic for others. The owners Pam and Bob live in the house next door and made sure we knew to reach out if we needed anything. Pam is who you’ll communicate with during and post reservation. Both of them are folks that you would want to invite into your home for dinner and drinks. Great spot and even greater people running everything. Can’t wait to go back.

This was one of the nicest VRBO's I have ever seen or stayed in. The owners were very welcoming and helpful throughout, the cook/chef was incredible and always available, and the grounds were impeccable, even when weather was less than ideal. The owners have obviously taken great pains to ensure all is done perfectly and safely, and were always able to guide us to the next tour, event or restaurant. No expense was spared on making the home a modern, well equipped rental property, and we had a spectacular time spending a week here. Absolutely be back.

We had most of our meals together over the most delicious dishes any of us has ever had ! The entire staff at Solmates is amazing! They all made all our stay comfortable and relaxing . The house, the grounds , the beach - all way beyond our expectations. We spent lots of quality time together by the pool. The weather couldn’t have been better! When it was time to plan excursions, No Worries Tours was flawless in planning absolutely anything we wanted! In record time ! We saw the Mayan Ruins. fed Howler monkeys , went cave tubing , snorkeled (spectacular) , fished, and so much more ! We even got a family tattoo !!! Yes they planned that too ! Pam and Bob - you guys have created a true paradise at Solmates. You both are so kind and gracious- it’s obvious that everyone at Solmates is family . I cannot explain in mere words how much we enjoyed our visit to Casa de Playa SolMate!! Everything was perfect!! Pam & Bob have an awesome place and I can’t thank them enough for allowing us to experience their paradise!! Thank you so much Pam for being accessible and answering any strange question I came up with!! The love and attention that goes into this property is unparalleled on the island!! Our stay wouldn’t have been as perfect as it was without DORIS!! She kept us fed with awesome Belizean cuisine and was always available if we had any needs, questions, or problems. Doris is the heart of the Casa and we love her!! Barney was always on hand for anything we needed including tours of the property, a paddle to the reef, and walks along the beach… even if we stood him up. Sorry Barney!! What an amazing week we had at Casa De Playa Solmate! The house was clean and beautiful. Better in person than the great pictures posted. The property is breathtaking. We couldn’t get enough of the views. We joked among ourselves we have 20 of the same picture because waking up to the view left us speechless daily! Pam the owner was very informative, replied quickly, and ensured we had everything we needed both before leaving and while there. We were lucky to meet her and her husband, they are both so warm and genuinely nice. Doris is the heart and soul! Her cooking combined with her sweet, mild manner was the icing on the cake!! Meals were all so fresh, so flavorful, and beyond our expectations. We did do 3 days of excursions- ATM caves, snorkeling, and a combined tour of Mayan, monkeys, and cave tubing. These were run by Noworriesbz.com. The owner Hill was so great!!! Accommodating and knowledgeable! He worked with our group and matched everyone’s personalities. My kids thoroughly enjoyed Hill and he matched us with the best guides. We all felt so blessed and had an amazing time. Waking to snow at home this am was not a fun return to reality! Lol.

Pam was great to work with and communicate the entire booking and arrival process. Barney and his crew kept the property immaculate. Hill took us on the greatest adventures imaginable worry free. We had an amazing time! The property is as it's represented and is so peaceful and beautiful. It's north of town and a bit of a golf cart ride there but we loved being out of the hustle and busy roads of town. Doris is truly a gem and was honestly what made our trip so special. Barney as well! I wouldn't stay anywhere else when returning to San Pedro! I'm torn to highly recommend the property because selfishly I want it available when we are ready to come back! I could not recommend this place more. The house is beautiful, the staff goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome. We really enjoyed ourselves. Mrs. Doris and Mr. Josh have spoiled us for other vacation spots! We also fall in love with the personal service provided by No worries tours. Overall, this place exceed our wildest dreams. Casa Playa de Solmates was all that I hoped it to be and more. The house and the property are AMAZING. The grounds crew and staff are friendly, inviting, and there to help whenever they can. Doris, the chef, is a true gem. Her grace and elegance in the kitchen shows in every dish she cooked. She cooks from the heart and all her food is fillled with love. Josh, the property manager, is awesome. He makes sure you are 100% happy and does anything he can to help you have an amazing vacation, he even joined us on an excursion to the mainland. The sunsets and views from the house are breath taking and the hammock on the beach so relaxing that I almost slept there every night. We could not have asked for anything more. My wife and I have been to some of the best resorts in the Caribbean. This property ranks just as high as the best of them. The owners were easy to work with, they have a friendly staff, and Doris is as good as advertised. Josh and his crew are all amazing as well. They handle all the activities, food, and transportation to and from the island. Everyone that works here seem to really love it here too! That in it’s self says it all. Thanks for a relaxing vacation!

I will start this review by saying that SolMates exceeded my expectation in every way. First, the property is more beautiful than the pictures reflect. The house is lovely, absolutely spotless and well furnished with everything you could ask for. The pool is a saline pool and amazing and the kids spent hours playing there. The beachfront is pristine and we left a major sand castle! . Second, the staff is so great. Doris is an amazing hostess and chef and every meal is prepared with so much love. The food was amazing. Josh is on site and takes care of every request from the smallest to the biggest ask. The grounds crew keep the place looking perfect. Third, we had small children (7,5,3, and 8 months). We used the nanny service and were a little nervous before we arrived, but Doris herself took care of the children and they all just loved her. We had nanny service for 2 half days and 1 full day. The baby was so excited every day when Doris arrived and the kids talked constantly about Miss Doris. Fourth, we did arrange for some excursions through the No Worries Tour company. We did 3 days of scuba, a day trip to the Blue Hole, snorkeling with the kids and the best of all: fishing in the morning followed by a BBQ on a "secret" beach in the afternoon for the entire family. The DiveMasters and guides were excellent and really showed us a great time with the scuba. and the beach BBQ was so good. I also learned a bit about the owners, Pam and Bob. According to their staff, they are the best employers on the island and their staff love working there. They also give back to the community and have an amazing vision for their little resort. SolMates has a great vibe and I can't wait to go back. I can't say enough about what a great week we had and am so thankful for the chance to be there. My family of 4 stayed for one week with another family of 4. We had a wonderful time. This may have been one of the most relaxing trips that we have been on. Pam and her team made booking and travel easy. The house was beautiful; exactly like the pictures. Josh and the property staff were there every morning to make the property look beautiful and to check on our needs. Booking excursions while we were there thru No Worries was easy and they were very accommodating to the needs of the kids (10, 9, 8, and 8 y.o.). Josh even took us out on a neighborhood tour one afternoon- so great to learn about the area and people. And Doris...she is amazing. We loved getting to know her and her food; we miss it. She was wonderful with planning meals with us and we almost didn't want to eat away from the property and miss one of her meals. All eight of us LOVED this trip and hope to be able to come back again.

I chose this rental to celebrate my 40th birthday... My husband and I have been to San Pedro in the past prior to our children and really wanted to be able to share our love of the island and people with them! This house, which turned into a home for a week for us, brought us back in the most simplest and wonderful ways to our fondest memories of Belize! Between Ms. Doris and her food made with love, stories, and care of us, to Josh checking in on us, making sure we felt safe and sharing his puppy Queen Zelle, to Hill with No Worries Dive Shop making sure we were being adventurous, helping make sure we had great dives while snorkeling with our littles and meeting his family, we felt at ease and like they extended us as their family! This house and the staff here made our vacation spectacular, I'm not sure I could stay anywhere else after being here! We thank the owners for their hospitality, attention to detail, and admire you for attracting such beautiful, good hearted people!! We hope to see you again soon!

When we booked this location it sounded too good to be true, but it was everything we wanted and more! The house is beautiful, spacious, clean, and has more than enough stuff to do without ever leaving the property. Ms. Doris is a gem. Her cooking is amazing, and she's a great resource for questions about locations around the island. When we wanted to get snorkel gear or wanted to contact other people she was always willing to reach out for us and get us information. Pam and Bob are awesome. They are so friendly and down-to-earth. One of our golf carts had some mechanical issues when we were about 40 minutes from the house. When I notified Pam she was able to get us help in less than 10 minutes. It was amazing! The No Worries Excursions are 10/10 worth the money. They picked us up and dropped us off right at the house. We had a blast with them! The only thing I wish I knew before booking was the side of the island that the house is on is very windy in April. The other side of the island, where The Secret Beach is, does not get windy like the house side. Just something to know when planning your trip. I recommend staying at least a week as well! :)

The property is perfectly maintained! The wind also brought in Sargassum grass which was immediately raked up by the staff - a true Sisyphean task! Pamela and Bob were readily available for any issues that came up. They connected us with Hill from No Worries Tours. Hill did a great job putting together excursions for us - even finding us out at a restaurant to let us know that our trip the next day was on! While it sounds like 8.5 miles from town is not far, when travelling in a golf cart on bumpy roads, it is a long ride. If you do venture south, check out Secret Beach, the Truck Stop, and, for a great seafood dinner, Carumba's! We did go north to Chat and Chill one afternoon. This property is exactly as it is described on the site. It is immaculate, the grounds are wonderful and the staff is amazing. Anything you need they will accommodate. Doris prepared our food and basically took care of us during our stay and she was a delight. We ate so well we all came home spoiled. If there is anything I would say about the stay that could be improved on it is the quality of the golf carts. The property is fairly remote and to go to town in a bad golf cart is a problem. One broke down on the way to town, when we traded it in the entire trip changed. Just check on your golf cart! Who knew. We all loved this trip and the accommodations.

We loved our relaxing stay here. The home is newly renovated and very nice. The included chef and groceries are what really set it apart and make for a relaxing, worry free stay. Doris was amazing at accommodating our vegetarian needs. She made fresh food every day and customized the menu based on our preferences. She demonstrated a lot of flexibility. We used the kayaks provided, which were fun. We also rented a golf cart one day to go into town and to secret beach. The roads are bumpy, so we were happy to just do this one day. Pamela the host is very responsive and was kind to arrange all our flights to the island and golf cart and boat taxi. We look forward to coming back in the future. Thank you!

We took out family of 7 to San Pedro for a week and are SO PLEASED with everything about this property! Pam and Bob the owners were very attentive and great hosts, the cook Doris was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING, the groundskeepers groomed the beach every morning, we had unlimited hot water and the home was very clean and recently renovated. Pam and Bob helped to arrange the golf carts, the pre exit covid tests, and everything inbetween. We couldnt have asked for anything more, and we will be back!
