Love the location and the size and design of the house. Not impressed with the way the house is maintained. Each visit we have to clean before we can unpack and relax. They do a very light and rushed cleaning. This visit the counters were dirty, grapes on the floor under the dining table, sand on the floors and under the furniture. The frig smelled like it was wiped with bleach. The garbage can smelled horrible. I had to soak it over night to get the smell out. It had clean sheets but the bed spreads smell and needed to be cleaned. I killed 3 spiders and 3 big roaches in ghe first few days. Not sure when the house was last sprayed. My biggest complaint is the worn out mattress in the master bedroom. I complained about it the last 4 visits. When i asked about it this visit i was told that she had no idea, she only worked weekends. I did notice a new couch and chair in the. Livingroom. Glad to see that. And no screens on the windows. Mimi's is a very comfortable hous. Just needs to be upgraded. The owner is making plenty of profit to maintain this house. We will contiue to come 2 or 3 times a year however we have learned to oacm accordingly. We bring our cleaning supplies, cooking utensils/dishes, toilet paper and paper towels, linen for the beds, garbage bags and anything you think you will need for grilling or cooking. Silverware, knives and can openers are limited. 2 can openers both broken, knives very dull, etc. Stove top and oven work poorly. Hate to leave a poor review, but maybe it will get someones attention. It is a nice house and great location, just needs tlc

We came here to get away and decompress from things and we were not disappointed! Mimi's was just what the Dr ordered! The view was amazing and have the beach right there was truly wonderful! We have not seen that many stars since we were kids! The A/C worked great and was needed after spending time in the hot sun all day! The place was clean and there was everything you need there to enjoy the weekend!I highly recommend booking at Mimi's! We will definitely be back!

Not good this trip. Bad weather, No cable, No WIFI, No Phone, and NO HOT WATER. Master bedroom mattress is WORN OUT.I complained of this 2 visits ago. Management didn't seem too concerned. Very nice house in a great location. Will reserve again. Hopefully MANAGEMENT will read this review and make some changes. Also no discounts for returning customers. 2 to 3 trips a year since 2009.

I am a long time renter with Suncoast (20 years)and have enjoyed most of my visits. I resently spent 10 days at Mimi’s and appreciated the new chairs and other upgrades. Several basic things still need to be addressed.1) the detergent lid inside the dishwasher will not open most of the time giving you back still dirty dishes.2) the clothes washer does not advance from one setting to the next sometimes.3)front left eye on stove goes not work. Been that way for 2-3 years.4)new TV only gets ESPN. No network. Need instructions. Worked with it for a week and no one could help us. Never could find a way to work it. Last day there no signal at all.5)all outside chairs on back porch except one were broken.6)ice maker does not work and the door handle was off on the counter. We fixed it.If Mimi’s owners want to fix things up,do a little better than the visuals. Some of these thing have been this way for years. Nice new tv but can’t operate it.This is getting old I am reevaluating my commitment to Suncoast.Everett Brock

This is our fourth time to Mimi’s. The upgrades were much needed, but even without them we would’ve came back! Love that the carpet was gone. No more sand spurs! Do bring your own chairs for the porch! Supplied ones are 1 plastic chaise and 1 chair. The back door lock was an improvement (although it was falling apart-so handy husband rebuilt it. It was a Sunday and only busy signals when we tried to call the office). No more pinching when you open it. The king bed was very comfortable. We couldn’t pick up local tv stations to monitor weather, so maybe a written guide on how to use the tv would help and a digital antenna for local stations. If you like to cook in daily like we do, might want to bring your own utensils and pots to boil in. Just the basics are supplied. Bring your own cleaning supplies too. The best part about Mimi’s little beach house is the ocean is your view for the week!

Mimi’s is in a perfect location. The main living area is very spacious and the many windows give you a great view of the beach and ocean. It’s a perfect size for 2 or 3 people. It isn’t fancy but has always been clean when I’ve stayed there.

Had a good vacation, have been vacationing at St George Island for 18+ years. My family and I are pretty easy to please, that being said... Mimi's beach house location is great, but the house definitely needs updating. The place isn't a "dump" but just needs a good bit of work. As of right now I can't honestly say that we would ever stay there again, that being said If the house was updated we would probably try to stay there every summer. The lay out and size of the house was perfect for our family. So here's the bottom line, if you're "picky" and very "particular" Mimi's Beach house in it's current condition is not for you... If you are not "picky" or very "particular" and you want a house on the beach with a good location I'd say go for it...

Mimis beach house is a plain Jane vacation stay that we absolutely loved. It has everything you need and nothing that you don’t. The beach is just out back to view from the porch or steps away to feet in the water. Yes I would love to see an update to make it creature comfortable such as newer furniture & a big screen tv but it is what it is. 2 steps in at front, level out the back. The very best thing is its location. Close to the island’s amenities. Very close to the beach. The nearest to beach we’ve ever had in 40 years of SGI. You’re right on it. We’ll be back.

Perfect location in paradise! This house was perfect for our family. My mother has a hard time getting around so having the ground level house with a boardwalk right on the beach was perfect and exactly what we needed! The beach is literally right outside the door. The view from the back patio and inside the house are amazing as well. The house is older but well equipped with everything we needed. We experienced a few minor maintenance issues during our stay and Suncoast was right on top of everything. I would never rent through any other company and would definitely stay in Mimi's again!

The house is a charming older beach cottage with direct accused to the beach. Personally I loved it in reference to the cost and location. Not a modern house, but it served our needs. The only thing that was difficult was not enough electrical outlets. ( None in the bathroom.) I was very happy with my stay there. The Sun coast crew was very nice and accommodating.

Some suggestions if funds are available:The back door knob almost catches your fingers and there are some planks on the boardwalk that might need replacing. The following is an honest review meant to make this super place even better. Overall a great time. Location is perfect. Spotless clean. Staff was great, including coming to secure a window. The large, attached cover/carport street-side was most welcome. While the carpet may be recent, it should be removed because it collects sandspurs that get into your feet unless shoes are worn...Carpet in a beach house? Queen (full?) mattress is structurally supportive; King is definitely not. "Older" bathroom toilet kept refilling without use (leaky flapper?). "Older" sink flow was barely a trickle...a plugged screen (stacked debris) at the faucet tip. It took two cleanings and flushing flow to clear, but seemed to work well after that. Debris was sand...Leaking pipe somewhere?? "Older" bathroom light needed a second bulb as I recall. Beachside door handle has no clearance, meaning if you grasp the handle to close the door you are going to experience some pain and possible injury. Front and back door locks need to be keyed the would be easy to lock yourself out if you double latch the roadside door and go out the beachside door, as the key only fits the roadside door. This sounds like a lot, but really is relatively minor stuff, except for the gift of the sandspurs and the lack of handle clearance beachside. Honestly...and gently...those need to be dealt with ASAP. We will be back, and have already recommended Mimi's to a friend. Thanks!!

We lived out stay at Mimi’s Beachhouse. The place was clean, well equipped, and the view is wonderful.the bedrooms and bathrooms are on opposite ends so if you have another couple or kids with you you don’t hear everything. Also the two living spaces allow for plenty of seating.Yes this home is older and could use a few updates, but we will be back. The only suggestion we have is for it to put in a fish cleaning table as we caught a lot of fish off the beach.

This was our second stay at Mimi’s and we enjoyed a lovely week at the beach on St George island. We went late September- water was still warm and the beach was not crowded. The beach house is nothing fancy - but we visit for the BEACH - which is right out the back door. The house is sufficient for our family visit - 2 full bathrooms and the outdoor shower. Adequate kitchen for staying in most meals. Adequate living space for family traveling with children/teens. We had no issues - enjoyed our stay - will definitely stay again.

If you are looking for something posh, upscale, updated, or luxurious, this is NOT your house! But if you want the best location on the beach that has the most personality, plenty of room in big open living and dining areas, a great porch that is just like sitting ON the beach, and the best rental company, Mimi’s is the best bargain on the island. The beds are comfortable, but the living room furniture needs to be replaced. Otherwise we love the quirky imperfections. This is home away from home.

This was a really cute house for two. The second bedroom was unusable because of the musty mildew smell. The bed in the master was comfortable. The covered porch was very useful. Being right on the beach was great. The kitchen had very few accessories so bring things from home if your driving. There was no colander, wine opener, lettuce spinner, sharp knife, scissors.

We so enjoyed our stay as we always do on the island. Mimi’s beach house is old and small but is right on the beach so was perfect for the two of us. We don’t require any large fancy house so we really enjoyed our stay. Suncoast employees always make our stay comfortable and they are always helpful no matter which rental we occupy.
