This was our second stay at this house. It's very close to the beach, just a few houses away. You can hear and see the water from the porch. Plenty of room and the ramp is a knee saver. The beds are comfortable, very firm and each bedroom has it's own bathroom.
The cable tv requires subscriptions to most everything, but we did find local tv.
Don't forget your bug spray, the mosquitoes are horrible.

Great house. No complaints. This was our second stay there and will definitely go back. Love that it is pet friendly and kitchen is well stocked with the cookware and utensils needed for family cooking.

This place was perfect for our family. Just 3 houses away from the beach so the walk was super short. House provided several great beach amenities like a wagon, boogie boards & tubes, etc. Has a nice outdoor shower for rinsing off after the beach. Check-in was super easy and contactless. Loved it for the weekend and will be back again.

We loved this place so much that we brought our family and we were all very comfortable and there was everything we needed we will most likely return again they went deep sea fishing and caught a lot. We also experienced a gale and that was scared but in spite of the nasty weather we just hung out and watched Netflix one day

First, let me say that the pictures do not do justice to the property. There is more; so much more.
The owner has gone above and beyond with the little touches that make this a home away from home. There are actually two wagons to make entry and exit into and from the home easy, as well as making beach access a breeze. Yes the ramp is long, but so much better than climbing stairs.
There were tons of beach toys for our littles. Cozy blankets/throws for all. The deck furniture was comfy and EVERYONE loved the hammock. There were items that are not listed in the amenities that should be included, like a charcoal grill, blender, hand mixer, the beach toys, wagons, and so much more. The water dispenser is FANTASTIC and there was an ample supply of bottles to refill the unit. The washer and dryer worked amazingly well (in our last rental, the dryer would not work and you were fined if all the laundry was not dryed and put up at checkout).
Additionally, the owner has a seperate small fridge where previous guests can leave refrigerated items like mustard, ketchup, etc.
Check out does not have you jumping through hoops. There are only a few things you need to do upon departure. I really appreciate this as I don't feel you should be required to deep clean a unit as you pay for a cleaning service to do so!
This was our second trip to Surfside and this home far exceeded the one we booked last summer. Would love the chance to stay here again!

Perfect home for the weekend! We had so much fun! The property is great for kiddos with decks and fences around anywhere that they could be at. We will be coming back.

This property is perfect!!! Perfect for families… or couples! There were a few things that really made it stand out! A water dispenser was so nice to have! The ramp made life easier! And it was very clean! The Gulf view was perfect. A great house! We will be back!

Clean and inviting. House was solid in the wind (IFYKYK). Shirt walk to the beach and restaurant. House was open and layout was great. Ramp was awesome for the dog and unloading the vehicles.

Love love love this property! We will return. The ADA accessible ramp was so helpful for our family. Our dog loved the enclosed yard. Beautiful kitchen, comfy beds, and a view to boot! Step to the beach!

We loved our stay! Everything was perfect. The ADA accessible ramp was so helpful for our family and the giant wagon provided to move items up was so useful. Our little dog loved the enclosed yard! The kitchen had everything you could ever need and the beds were the best we have ever seen in a rental! Our host was so gracious and accommodating. Best ever!!!

We only stayed for a few days, but had a great time. The neighborhood was very quiet this time of year. There were storms in the area, so between the wind and the rain, we weren't able to use the well appointed beautiful deck.
The house was comfortable and very roomy. We didn't cook, but the kitchen appeared to be well equipped (several very good restaurants near by).
The ramp was a life saver when carrying luggage and misc. items up. We put everything in the provided wagon and headed up the ramp. So much easier than traditional stairs
The proximity to beach was wonderful. Sometimes we walked the short distance on the boardwalk, sometimes we drove a golf cart down the street and on to the beach.
Plus, Galveston is less than a hour away!

The home and property were awesome. We truly enjoyed the.beach view from the deck. Our time was enjoyed by all (three adults and two pets). The short walk and easy access to the beach for many walks was awesome. Highly recommend and would definitely try to book a reservation should we return to Surfside next year.

We enjoyed our stay. The beach house was as depicted - very nice. No complaints. Like view of beach and easy 1 minute walk to the sand.

VACA-SURFSIDE
You will not be disappointed if you stay at this awesome, comfortable, & cozy beach house. The decor is so neat. ALL the comforts of home, even for your fur babies. A very short walk to the beach was a BIG plus. Thank you Karen for sharing your beautiful house with us.

Then the plates, silverware, and cups still had a lot of stuck on debris. Once we actually cleaned the house after a 20 hour road trip. We pull back the comforter to find someone's hair on the sheets (we really hope it was someone with naturally tight curls or a perm).
I guess the holiday weekend cleaning crew started celebrating early.
Once we cleaned up everything was as advertised. (We didn't want to bother the host on a holiday weekend, and figured they would send the same people to clean anyway. So we wanted our definition of clean, not theirs)
Neighborhood isn't really great, but the area and town seem to be improving.

Great home to rent! We stayed June 13-17, 5 people (3 adults, 2 High school kids)
We so enjoyed our stay and wished we had booked even longer. This is our 8th year to vacation in Surfside. The views from the over sized deck were the best. The house faces a perfect direction so that the deck doesn't get over heated and it's mostly covered. We enjoyed our cups of coffee in the morning and our beverages in the evening. There is a walk over within steps from the home and a vehicle entrance a couple of streets over. We rented a golf cart from Pinky's (he is across the street from circle K and he is the best!) and enjoyed our daily trips around the island. I was worried about the location because we normally like to stay closer to the water tower, but to my surprise it was quiet and not crowded!! We could walk down to the beach anytime and have plenty of space and not to many cars! The ramp was a plus. The inside was roomy and clean. There was five of us and it was great! The AC is cold and the smoke detectors work(don't ask my why)! We hit a few hiccups but nothing that wasn't resolved fast and didn't effect our vacation! Tina and Karen are fast to respond to any questions you have. We will be back and hopefully stay longer. I am ready to go back right now!

House was steps away from the beach. The house was absolutely perfect. They even allow pets, which was great. Kitchen was well stocked with cooking basics and dishware and flatware. Living room was very spacious and equipped with power recliners. Bedrooms were roomy and comfortable.
Ceiling fans were a plus. We are looking forward to staying there again in the future.

We spent Spring Break in this house. There were 6 of us and we were very comfortable, plenty of room and lots of amenities in the house! It is a newer home and is in perfect shape with an amazing ramp up to the house rather than stairs!
We had one issue with the house alarm going off at 3am (not a big deal since we got home at about 1am and we were mostly still up and about at 3am) at night and the manager drove out to the house at 3am to fix the issue. Turns out the owner did not know the alarm system was even active, she had no system admin or monitoring, it just faulted, and it was deactivated. The next day around 11:30am the OWNER of the property stopped by bearing gifts of wine, chocolates and cheese to apologize for the issue! She was super sweet and very apologetic.
This issue passed us by like a warm summer breeze and we continued to enjoy our stay, the beach which is about 100ft away and the balcony!
We WILL return to stay here next time!
