Very beautiful location, views from the room and porch were lovely. Comfortable bed and sofa, really cool tiled shower area, great BBQ, pretty landscaping. We appreciated the use of the cooler, the tote bag with beach towels, and the beach chairs. All things you cam’t bring with you on a plane! Also located reef-safe sun screen and bug spray which we didn’t bring (we brought the old kind of sunscreen not allowed here.) Kitchen didn’t have tons of supplies, no oven or dishwasher, but we don’t need that, and had enough dishes, glasses, pans, utensils etc. for our us. Has a coffeemaker and filters which is essential! The town with market and little shops is about five minutes away by car and easy to navigate. You could walk to town but wouldn’t recommend: very steep and narrow roads and we aren’t in good enough shape to make it! Hosts were super responsive to questions and requests. Such a comfortable, relaxing place! And St. John is awesome. Gorgeous, uncrowded, spectacular beaches and hikes. Will return, thank you!

My husband and I stayed here for our 15 year anniversary. We loved this cute little cottage. It had everything we needed. The view was awesome. The bed was extremely comfortable. The coffee beans and grinder were a perk. We took a short cab ride to the cottage from the ferry dock after having an early dinner then the next day we walked down to town to get our rental jeep. Very easy. We loved having morning coffee on the deck and evening wine before bed. We’d definitely stay here again

This is the second time my husband and I have stayed at Alexandra Cottage. It is perfect for a couple looking for the combination of fun and privacy. You are a close 5 minute drive to the shops and restaurants of Cruz Bay and 10 minutes to the north shore beaches. The cottage has everything you need and more! We love lying in bed and watching the views of the ocean. We will stay again!!

We loved this little cottage, it had everything we needed and more! The Neso and the snorkeling equipment were so convenient saving on rentals. The view of Cruz Bay was amazing from both inside and outside!! Our only complaint is that we didn’t have more time! Would definitely recommend!!

Review
Not a safe or easy walk to Cruz Bay. The property itself was really beautiful and the amenities were good. The house came prepared for anything we needed for our week long stay. This place could use a washer and dryer and also the walk to and from town is not a simple and safe walk. This walk is in fact pretty dangerous and treacherous to get to the villa. Some cab drivers did not want to drive us to our villa causing us to walk some nights. If you are physically challenged by steep hills and uneven surfaces you should have a vehicle for this location. You must take your trash out at the bottom of the hill as well. This means if you don’t have a vehicle you will be trekking up and down the hills to throw away your trash. The property itself was great but I wish the walk to downtown was not so dangerous

We had a good stay. Property as described and was in convenient location. If you are in for a little exercise you can even walk to Cruz Bay. We did this twice however you must be pretty physically fit to accomplish this. Property is in safe location and was very private. Shower is what I call indoor outdoor which to us was amazing

Vacation St John
We had a good stay. Property as described and was in convenient location. If you are in for a little exercise you can even walk to Cruz Bay. We did this twice however you must be pretty physically fit to accomplish this. Property is in safe location and was very private. Shower is what I call indoor outdoor which to us was amazing

The actual location is at least half a mile up a very steep hill on pocket money lane. It is absolutely worth the $10 to get a taxi up there if you don’t have a rental car.

Alexander Cottage is truly one of the most beautiful properties we've stayed at. The view overlooking Cruz Bay- where you can watch a spectacular sunset - is truly magical. The mosaic shower is super cool and the king sized bed comfy :) If you have mobility issues- this property is not for you since there's a steep stairway down to the cottage. This was not a problem for us. Looking forward to booking again :)

Alexandra cottage is a spectacular living place in a tropical rain forest overlooking Cruz bay. The house is designed like a garden. One of the hosts Tara is very nice and hospitable. You can see a lot of animals such as roosters, a cat that is asking for food, 5-6 lizards hanging around the tree enjoying sunshine just like you but don’t worry lizards usually won’t come around your personal space and these types are really timid and shy. Best way to get there is to rent a jeep but we didn’t have one it’s also fine.

Alexandra cottage is a spectacular living place in a tropical rain forest overlooking Cruz bay. The house is designed like a garden. One of the hosts Tara is very nice and hospitable. You can see a lot of animals such as roosters, a cat that is asking for food, 5-6 lizards hanging around the tree enjoying sunshine just like you but don’t worry lizards usually won’t come around your personal space and these types are really timid and shy. Best way to get there is to rent a jeep but we didn’t have one it’s also fine.

Romantic Getaway
Alexander Cottage is truly one of the most beautiful properties we've stayed at. The view overlooking Cruz Bay- where you can watch a spectacular sunset - is truly magical. Cute, well equipped one bedroom cottage. Very steep stairs down to cottage. Not for those with heavy or cumbersome luggage.
Direction are not easy to follow they need ti be updated.

Amazing views of Cruz Bay and St. Thomas!
The cottage is perfect for a getaway for two! The views from the deck and the bedroom are unbeatable. The hill to the property is steep, but completely doable - just hit the gas and go! Walking to town is about ten minutes down and it’s easy to taxi up if you don’t want to climb to the top. The bed is super comfortable and ffs views from the bedroom window and deck are unbeatable!

Tara also provided beach chairs, coolers, beach towels, snorkel gear, etc. Tara was super responsive to all our needs! We had the best trip!

One night on St. John
What an amazing location and the view was gorgeous. The property was everything that we needed for our one night stay. Easy to find a taxi and the view, can I say it one more time..it was amazing. Loved the shower, efficient little place in a beautiful location!

We are bird watchers and enjoyed how many species came and landed right next to us. The bed was super comfortable and the indoor/outdoor shower was nothing short of outstanding! Anyone coming to enjoy St John, the national park and incredible beaches, must stay here!

Perfect Spot for 2
Our second stay at Alexandra Cottage! We love the quaint cottage and balcony overlooking Cruz Bay! The small kitchen is perfect to make a quick breakfast and have a nice cup of coffee on the balcony. The convenience of beach chairs, ice chests, and snorkel equipment is a nice perk! Tara is very responsive and helpful and we plan to check out the other properties for future trips!

Me and my husband loved this place! It was perfect! The view was incredible and all the walk ways to get to the house were so cool! We were even happier to find out that we do have a pool too swim in! This place was so great!!!

Immaculate!
Beautiful little house, it was spotless, the bed was so comfortable. The patio is cute, views are amazing. Sitting outside we saw hummingbirds, iguanas that hang out in the trees and birds. The steps down are a little long but I just wore flip flops up and then changed into my wedges. Dolphin market & Stargish are close for supplies but we liked the Starfish market much better. If we were there longer would have taken advantage of the grill. Overall it was a great stay and I'd definitely stay again. Town is probably only a mile or so down the road.
