We try to book this specific property every time we visit Arcata (we come on a yearly basis). It is clean, spacious, conveniently-located, well-stocked, cozy and - most importantly - pet-friendly. We have stayed at this property, including the upstairs loft since 2017. Minus 2020 due to Covid because we didn't travel, then 2021 because it was already booked.
The host is great and makes check-in a breeze. We love this place!

The property was lovely and quiet and centrally located. We could walk to everything! It was great to be able to bring our dog children and to have a fenced outdoor space for them to run and play. The hot tub was a perfect 104 degrees and it was nice to sit at the outdoor table!

The rental is centrally located and within walking distance of most downtown Arcata businesses. My favorite part? The lovely garden out front and long list of amenities that are waiting for visitors inside.

This place is located very close to restaurants and shops. We went to delicious Los Bagels almost every morning, and it was only a block away. There’s a backyard that allowed my dog to relieve himself whenever necessary. There was ample parking so we were able to park right by the house every time. The town is older and has a lot of character. The house is older as well, but it has everything we needed, including shared laundry machines in the garage. We didn’t take advantage of the bikes, sauna, or not tub, but we saw them there as well. The beds were very soft, maybe a little too soft, but the sheets were clean. The bathroom was also clean (though a little cramped, as older style homes are). if we ever come back to Arcata, we would definitely stay here again!

We were in town for a college visit, and could not have chosen a better location. We enjoyed being walking distance to downtown Arcata, and taking our pup along with us on walks and hikes. The property host/contact was responsive to communications, and we had a nice and relaxing stay. Wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the amenities, but would return again! Thanks!

Great place, close to Plaza, nice deck, perfect for catching the sun, even in February. Nice to have a sauna, whirlpool and ping pong table. Will come again, so don’t book when I need it!!!

Very cozy and well appointed. Easily walkable to all the food and social places in downtown, and a few on the border (try the “pub at the creamery”). Close to campus and our sons apartment, so def on the list for the next stay! Thank you!

Cozy property in the heart of Arcata. Heater works well to ward off those foggy moments. Might be good to have a dishwasher and to mark the beds soft and firm. This would help the visitor choose the appropriate bed and avoid extra laundry.

We love this property, and the other two properties that are attached to it. It has a great location where you can easily walk to the Square and nearby shops and restaurants. We have stayed at this location several times, and hope to stay there many times in the future.

My daughter and I loved this rental! We had a few questions for the owner over the 2 days we were there, and received responses within 10 minutes that completely addressed our issues (missing corkscrew, access to laundry facilities). The place is VERY clean, and is a few blocks from many Arcata restaurants, etc. We will definitely be back!

A perfect place to enjoy Arcata!
A very cute property, and perfect for my husband, teenage son and me. And our little dog. We didn't cook so I can't report much on the kitchen, though it's very sweet and looks functional, but we enjoyed having such a comfortable home base. The back yard was nice, too, though we didn't have time to take advantage of the hot tub or sauna. The best thing for us is that it's right in town so you can walk to the shops and to get coffee.

My family, including our 2 small dogs, stayed here for 3 nights and had a great time! It was charming inside, had a spacious outdoor space, and the location to downtown can’t be beat. Kitchen worked well, although small, but the basics were there. Chris was extremely responsive to our questions. Definitely recommend!

Great proximity to downtown, very nice space
Can't beat the location! Just a few minutes' walk to all kinds of tasty food options and other necessities and the town square. (Don't miss Los Bagels!) Nice space that was perfect to relax in after hiking and exploring, and the hot tub went a long way to soothe sore muscles.

Beds were comfortable and we enjoyed the sauna. We wish we had gone in the hot tub because it looks nice but we were too busy. Maybe next time. Excellent location.
