Property was nice!! Close access to beach and stores.

I will be back to stay at this property again. Our stay here was excellent. My son and I stayed here for a long weekend to do some bird watching. It was a great location to MANY popular birding areas. The property looks exactly like the pictures. It was clean, easy to find, easy to check into. The decor in the house was really cute, the colors bright and welcoming. I loved sipping my coffee on the porch in the mornings. The property is close to the beach, close to a grocery store (which is good, because there aren’t too many choices of restaurants on the peninsula). I cannot wait to come back.

Rental was in great condition, everything was as described. Very cute and cozy, would stay again!

Hubby and I decided to get away for the long Thanksgiving holiday and stayed til Monday Arrived Thursday on a rainy day and rained all day Friday. The cottage did not disappoint!!. Was very clean! Alot of windows was nice with alot of natural light. We could hear the ocean from the deck which was oceanside. King size bed was so comfortable! Living room was cozy and comfortable. Plenty of kitchen supplies. Thursday evening found a lil sports bar type to watch Cowboy game. They were serving food for all! Met alot of nice people as we listened to storms. 11 miles from Ferry to Galveston. Went several times. Very close to beach and several stores if needed. Check in was a breeze. Host were very accommodating! We will definitely be back!!

The wife and I decided to take the kiddos someplace before school started. A little family vacation was needed. We had a blast!! The beach is within walking distance or can purchase a parking pass for only 10 bucks at local store. The place was perfect size for a family of 6. Beds were comfortable and kitchen was well equipped for cooking for the fam. Would highly recommend. Beautiful place.

Lovely house, easy check in process, easy access to the beach!

Our family enjoyed this house close to the beach. The accommodations were lovely and had plenty of kitchen supplies to cook with. The only unexpected things were having to purchase a $10 pass to park on the Bolivar Beach (we didn’t know about that beforehand) and the kind-size bed is two twins together with a mattress topper so it was a little more uncomfortable sleeping. Otherwise, I’d recommend this place for anyone looking for a quiet, beach house.

Very comfortable place to stay for a family of four. Beds were top notch, kitchen was well stocked with plenty of cooking utensils. WiFi was great and the deck was on the best side of the house with the breeze cooling us down after a day on the beach. The only improvement I would suggest is replacing some of the splintered deck boards. Overall, we would stay again

We stayed for a long weekend. The house was very nice and comfortable. The location is close to the beach and in a nice quiet area. I rate everything 5 stars except for some slight confusion in communications with Evolve/VRBO. I'm not sure they communicate with each other much.

The house was nice but the beach was extremely crowded and full of Confederate flags and flags with inappropriate language. We could not spend any time at the beach. Plus, it took us 2 hours to cross on the ferry.

Super kid friendly, board games to keep the littles occupied while you are catching a break from the sun. Everything you need to cook there. (We did have to buy more tp and kcups bc there were none) Beautiful views from both balconies. The most comfortable beds I have ever slept on!!!

When Dustin first purchased this place about a year ago i stumbled upon it and we were his first renters. We just got home from our 3rd stay there. Dustin has been extremely helpful and has great communication skills. The place is cozy and relaxing. Perfect for my Wife Myself and our kiddos. Easy access to the beach and a safe neighborhood. We run every morning while we’re there. There’s cameras for the safety of the renters which is great for us. The outside shower is perfect also. The front porch is spacious and very relaxing with concrete covered area at the bottom. Really appreciate Dustin being a great property owner. The place is affordable and is in a great location on the peninsula. The big store is close, Swedes is close. Plenty of food access close by. Love staying at DKD. THANKS DUSTIN!

We did enjoy our stay. The house was very tidy and clean. The only thing we had a problem with was the trouble getting checked in (the code not working) and the unprofessionalism we received from the lady that was overseeing the property and the lawn was not manicured. We had a griddle on the deck that we were steaming vegetables on so she threatened to call Galveston county to have us removed from the property. We did cover up the camera one time to change clothes before we entered the house to avoid the sand from getting everywhere but we removed it. We have another vacation scheduled in July but we will for sure not be using this property.

Place is nice, close to the Big store and easy access to beach. Only problem is the driveway could be a little bigger. Hard to "swing" into 2nd parking spot cause driveway is narrow and trash cans are really close.

We booked directly with the owner, which was nice, he made everything so easy. He answered all our questions and concerns. We had 2 families/4 small children under the age of three. We ran into several booking issues with other rentals having so many kids. There was plenty of room for all of us and the washer and dryer was a huge plus. We will definitely rent again and we highly recommend renting through Dustin!

This 2 bdr 1 bath house is where it at if you want to go to the Beach, and have a good time but not all the Traffic. All you have is Bring your Family and Friends. Its 3 blocks from the Beach which you can see from the Balcony , and while your relaxing on the Porch drinking your coffee just plan your Day with out all the noise from the outside world. It has evetything you need to relax and enjoy. The Beds are so comfortable that you sink in and get a great nite rest. When you go down to the Beach its not Busy like it is on the Sea wall so you can Have fun but not be crowded. Dustin the owner is a Really Sweet Guy easy to talk to and schedule your stay and if their is anything you need while your there he does answer the phone or will text back shortly to solve your problem. Its in a great neighborhood . The price was really Great to. So Just call Dustin and get your Vacation Scheduled and go have some R&R and a piece of mind.
