We had kids of all ages with us and the gate at the top of the steps was helpful along with the amount of indoor toys included with the house. I’d say the house fit the space we needed but could use a few things. The dock was in poor shape and we wore shoes on it so no one got hurt and the other bummer was there wasn’t a designated fire pit area (thank goodness we happened to bring our own camp fire chairs) and the dock didn’t have any chairs on it. No life jackets were there which luckily we brought them. Just a few things to think through.
The beds were very comfy and the living room furniture had plenty of seating. Kitchen well stocked with all the gadgets.
The negatives out weighed for us so next time we will find a different house but the price couldn’t be beat!

Its a great house. Really nice considering the fact that they allow animals. About 15 minutes to the boat launch at the state park. Dock is plenty big enough. They also don't mention this but it is very child friendly which was a nice surprise with us have a 20 month old

Very muddy property. Had to supply own pillows. No welcome binder. TV remote broken upstairs, TV not connected downstairs. Downstairs bathroom shower curtain & walls stained. Missing 3 comforters. No access to shed with canoe & ky

Our family was amazed at the cabin and the view! The property is easy to find and had many more amenities, such as kid toys, than we could imagine. A stunning view of the lake and surrounding woods made you feel at home.
Communication with the host was outstanding. They provided all the details and house rules up front and stayed in contact until after check out.
It was also a short drive to historic landmarks like James Madison’s Montpelier and Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello.

This house provides a wonderful space for family to gather. It is very well appointed with toys and games for children and adults alike (e.g ExerSaucer, highchair, games, pool table, puzzles, paddleboards, canoe, etc.) The open space from kitchen to large family room provides lots of opportunity to be together. The deck has a lovely view of the house dock and water inlet. We had 7 adults, a child, a toddler, and a baby and we hope to return!

We had a great time! The house was spacious for our group and the large living room worked well for everyone to be together. The house is in need of some repairs; kitchen drawers fall out, boards on dock are unsafe, etc. We came to lake Anna to enjoy the lake, and this house helped us do just that.

This cabin was perfectly family friendly. There were things for kids of all ages to do. The best part was the location. It was located inside a little cove so the kids could swim and paddle board without the worry of being run over by a boat. The host was great with communication. We had the most wonderful time!

This is a great rental property. These are the pros and cons
Pros, great location. Right on the lake with private dock and swimming cove. We floated here most of our stay. The dock was big enough for all of us with our chairs.
The owner is great with all communications.
The living space is quite spacious and multiple places to relax. The view from the living room is beautiful. We saw deer and herons daily.
It has 2 full size refrigerators on both floors so you can keep your extra drinks cold.
Cons, the address is quite hard to see. Most all of us missed it on the first pass. The driveway is a little rough.
The walk to the dock can be slippery so make sure you absolutely have on water shoes with good tread.
The only other thing is the picture of the deck is not correct. It does have a old fire pit with plastic chairs around it. Nothing like the picture..
These cons would not stop me from coming back.

Girlfriend Reunion
Fantastic, cozy, roomy, inviting atmosphere for a friend reunion! Everyone had thier own bed, and everything was provided. Beautiful view of lake and quiet setting.
